College of Education Graduate Tracer Study (GTS): Boon or Bane?
This study traced the employment profile of Cebu Technological University, Main Campus-College of Education (CTU MC CoE) graduates, from 2005-2009. Mix methods of descriptive survey method and thematic analysis were used to trace their status of employment, with the use of questionnaire and personal interviews. Data were analyzed of simple percentages and chi-square for significance of relationship. Illuminating were extrapolated and numbered. It aimed to: ascertain the profile of graduates; determine a relationship between their present occupation and the course they finished; and identify the cooperating industries/institution that employed BEEd and BSEd graduates. The CTU MC CoE graduates were proven to proficient and competent to be employable in the government schools as revealed in the 7 illuminating themes, thus resulted in boon opportunities. High school teachers predominate on the track than the elementary teachers with a negligible difference. The CTU mandate, as cascaded in its vision-mission, prepared graduates for the field of work, with personality that matters compared than other predetermined factors. Academic preparation and career performance exhibited signification of successful teaching employment in the public school
The Impact of the Workflow Technology on the Software Development Process Model
For the purposes of this study, the indicators have been classified into two categories in order to group the technical and organization aspects separately. Technological variables cover all the features and functionality’s inherent to a Workflow product. Likewise, they include all technical requirements and documentation accompanying the product. Organization indicators encompass company aspects (such as the users using the tool, the implementation, the acceptance) as well as the supplying company (technical support, sales personnel). All these indicators were obtained from a study of each variable and indicator used to evaluate a Workflow tool, as defined as follows. A method is further proposed to examine these so as to obtain an integral evaluation on the Workflow software
The Influence of Change Management on the Effectiveness of the Software Development Process
This paper presents the partial results of a field work, the intention of which was to measure change management in the effectiveness of the software development process in real-life projects. The methodology proposed by Pérez and Rojas [Pérez and Rojas, 1997] has been used in this task. A reference framework and the identification of change management measurement indicators, including their corresponding reactives, are the partial results of this field work
Integrating Singular Functions on the Sphere
We obtain rigorous results concerning the evaluation of integrals on the two
sphere using complex methods. It is shown that for regular as well as singular
functions which admit poles, the integral can be reduced to the calculation of
residues through a limiting procedure.Comment: 15 pages, revte
SAP, Change Management and Process Development Effetiveness (II): Case Study
Last year, at AIS ́98 (Pérez and Rojas, 1998), a series of variables was presented to measure the influence of change management on the effectiveness of the Information Systems development process. This proposal was based on the analysis of possible factors, which affect the Process Effectiveness dimension. The Process Effectiveness dimension is one of the four dimensions included in the Systemic Global Quality vision. The other dimensions included in that vision is: Product Effectiveness, Product Efficiency and Process Efficiency (Callaos and Callaos, 1996). This paper presents the results of a case study performed in a company of the oil- producing sector and is focused on measuring Process Effectiveness in the implementation of three SAP/r3 modules (Sales, Materials and Finance). The results participating in the process in roles such as the Leaders and End Users. No evidence was found on the rest of the showed that there is a correlation between the Change Management factor and Process Effectiveness in the personnel personnel - the technicians and functional users. This research represented a contribution to the organization subject to the study on the improvement of the Process Effectiveness for the development of its Information Systems
Improvement of the Process of Development of the Information Systems through a Proposal of Organizational Indicators to Evaluate Case Tools
This paper outlines our ongoing efforts to conceptually develop an approach for learning complex concepts through concept combination. The approach described in this paper has been operationalized in the form of an evolving prototype system. At present, the complex concept learning process is limited to adjective- noun concept combinations with the adjective component limited to predicating adjectives and the noun component limited to physical objects. We have demonstrated the validity of our approach by showing that the performance of the prototype system is in line with existing psychological evidence related to learning of adjective- noun concept combinations by human beings
