On duality of the noncommutative extension of the Maxwell-Chern-Simons model

We study issues of duality in 3D field theory models over a canonical noncommutative spacetime and obtain the noncommutative extension of the Self-Dual model induced by the Seiberg-Witten map. We apply the dual projection technique to uncover some properties of the noncommutative Maxwell-Chern-Simons theory up to first-order in the noncommutative parameter. A duality between this theory and a model similar to the ordinary self-dual model is estabilished. The correspondence of the basic fields is obtained and the equivalence of algebras and equations of motion are directly verified. BitTorrent based transmission of real-time scalable video over P2P networks

The number of software applications available on the Internet for distributing video streams in real time over P2P networks has grown quickly in the last two years. Typical this kind of distribution is made by television channel broadcasters which try to make their content globally available, using viewer's resources to support a large scale distribution of video without incurring in incremental costs. However, the lack of adaptation in video quality, combined with the lack of a standard protocol for this kind of multimedia distribution has driven content providers to basically ignore it as a solution for video delivery over the Internet. While the scalable extension of the H.264 encoding (H.264/SVC) can be used to support terminal and network heterogeneity, it is not clear how it can be integrated in a P2P overlay to form a large scale and real time distribution. In this paper, we start by defining a solution that combines the most popular P2P file-sharing protocol, the Bit Torrent, with the H.264/SVC encoding for a real-time video content delivery. Application of the incremental volumetric remapping method in the simulation of multi-step deep drawing processes

Since sheet metal forming has a high percentage contribution in the overall design costs of a new car, this engineering area assisted in the last decades to considerable development efforts. The present challenge is to simulate all the production stages, from the initial blank sheet to the final part ready to assembly. On this particular issue of multi-step deep-drawing simulation, this work presents a new remapping method called Incremental Volumetric Remapping (IVR) developed to minimize the error that occurs, when performing the variable transfer operation between two different meshes. The IVR method is based in a volumetric approach where the calculus of the remapped state variables is obtained by means of a weighted average of the intersection volume between the meshes. Relação benefício/custo da produção de variedades de macaxeira para agricultura familiar, em Salvaterra, Marajó, Pará.

O objetivo deste trabalho foi determinar a relação benefício/custo da produção de cinco variedades (Paraíba, Mineirinha, Amarelinha, Manteiguinha e Parmada) de macaxeira ou mandioca de mesa, cultivadas pela agricultura familiar da região, em latossolo amarelo distrófico, textura arenosa
