Thermal conductivity of gaseous and liquid hydrogen

    Get PDF
Normal and para-hydrogen conductivity measurements at temperatures from 200 to 17 deg K, at densities up to 2.6 times critical density, and at pressures to 15 MN/sq m are made. Using new calorimeter, data are analyzed as functions of density at fixed temperatures and of temperature at fixed densitie

ASRDI oxygen technology survey. Volume 5: Density and liquid level measurement instrumentation for the cryogenic fluids oxygen, hydrogen, and nitrogen

    Get PDF
Information is presented on instrumentation for density measurement, liquid level measurement, quantity gauging, and phase measurement. Coverage of existing information directly concerned with oxygen was given primary emphasis. A description of the physical principle of measurement for each instrumentation type is included. The basic materials of construction are listed if available from the source document for each instrument discussed. Cleaning requirements, procedures, and verification techniques are included

Uniform data system standardizes technical computations and the purchasing of commercially important gases

    Get PDF
Integrated tables of pressure, volume, and temperature for the saturated liquid, from the triple point to the critical point of the gases, have been developed. Tables include definition of saturated liquid curve. Values are presented in metric and practical units. Advantages of the new tables are discussed

Computer programs for thermodynamic and transport properties of hydrogen

    Get PDF
Computer program subroutines provide the thermodynamic and transport properties of hydrogen in tabular form. The programs provide 18 combinations of input and output variables. This program is written in FORTRAN 4 for use on the IBM 7044 or CDC 3600 computers

Thermodynamic properties of saturated liquid parahydrogen charted for important temperature range

    Get PDF
Six entropy diagrams for parahydrogen in or near the saturated liquid state cover the temperature range from 29.16 degrees to 42.48 degrees R with pressures to 100 psia and mixtures of the liquid and vapor phases to 0.003 quality. The diagrams are printed in color, are 19 by 30 inches in size, and are suitable for wall mounting

Handbook on thermophysical properties of oxygen

    Get PDF
Handbook has been compiled by Cryogenic Data Center of National Bureau of Standards. It covers thermodynamic functions, physical properties, and heat transfer data for oxygen. Handbook addresses primarily low temperature regime, but also includes some data above room temperature

Scalar-field Pressure in Induced Gravity with Higgs Potential and Dark Matter

A model of induced gravity with a Higgs potential is investigated in detail in view of the pressure components related to the scalar-field excitations. The physical consequences emerging as an artifact due to the presence of these pressure terms are analysed in terms of the constraints parting from energy density, solar-relativistic effects and galactic dynamics along with the dark matter halos.Comment: 26 pages, 3 figures, Minor revision, Published in JHE
