    PENGARUH PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATA DIKLAT MEMBUAT REKAMAN AUDIO DI STUDIO DI SMK NEGERI 2 SURABAYA

    Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dan perbedaan hasil belajar siswa pada mata diklat Merekam Audio di Studio dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung di SMK Negeri 2 Surabaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu “Static Group Comparison”. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMK Negeri 2 Surabaya. Di ambil sampel sebanyak 2 kelas dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah simple random. Kelas XI TAV 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI TAV 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Sedangkan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajarnya digunakan teknik analisis data uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Ada perbedaan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri dengan menggunakan pembelajaran langsung, dimana model pembelajaran inkuiri lebih baik dari pada hasil belajar siswa menggunakan pembelajaran langsung dengan ttest sebesar 3,149. Dengan nilai ttabel 1,671 pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05. Dari hasil tersebut didapat bahwa  nilai ttest > ttabel; (2) Model pembelajaran inkuiri lebih baik dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran langsung dengan rata-rata hasil belajar sebesar 85,50 (eksperimen) dan 75,50 (kontrol).   Kata kunci : strategi belajar inkuiri, model pembelajaran langsung, Hasil belajar siswa. Abstract This study aims to determine the students' learning result and the differences of students' learning result in Making Audio Recording in Studio by using the inquiry learning model and direct instruction model in SMK Negeri 2 Surabaya. This study using quasi experiment method with "Static Group Comparison" design. The population in this study are all students of SMK Negeri 2 Surabaya. Samples taken two classes, using simple random method. Class XI TAV 1 as a experimental class and XI TAV 2 as the control class. To determine the differences in the students' learning result, the data analyzed by t-test method. The results showed that: (1)There is a differences in students' learning result by using the inquiry learning model and direct instruction model, which is the inquiry learning model is better than the direct instruction model with the t test is 3.149. With ttable value 1.671 at significant level α = 0.05. From the results obtained that the ttest>ttable, (2)Inquiry learning model is better than the direct instructional model with the average result is 85.50 (experiment) and 75.50 (control).   Keyword: inquiry learning model, direct instructional model, students’ learning result.

    Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Tematik melalui Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning dengan Media Mind Mapping

    Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan rancangan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjabarkan langkah-langkah aplikasi model pembelajaran problem based learning yang mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar tematik peserta didik di salah satu sekolah dasar negeri di Salatiga. Tindakan dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus yang terdiri dari 3 pertemuan setiap siklus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik tes dan non tes. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas 3 SD Negeri Sidorejo Lor 01 Salatiga semester 2 tahun ajaran 2017/2018 dengan jumlah peserta didik 39. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan observasi, tingkat keberhasilan hasil belajar pada pra siklus tanpa menggunakan model problem based learning 59%, sedangkan pada siklus 1 dan 2 dengan menggunakan model problem based learning secara berturut - turut adalah 74.4% dan 92.3%. Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya peningkatan hasil belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran problem based learning

    Accommodating Religious Practices in the Workplace: the Case of Indonesian Workers in Taiwan

    The increasing number of Indonesian migrant workers, who are largely Muslims in Taiwan, makes the work environment more diverse. Consequently, the need for diversity management programs such as accommodating religious practices in the workplace has become significantly more relevant. But the extant studies and reports point out those migrant workers, who are largely Muslims, have not been properly accommodated to implement their religious practices in the workplace. The study seeks to understand as how Indonesian migrant workers, who are largely Muslims, experience a kind of deprivation of their religious practices in the workplace. To that end, it uses a qualitative case study method to investigate a group of Indonesian Muslim workers of the X Company who were deprived to observe daily prayers in the workplace. The results of the study evidently found that the employer views that accommodation of such religious practices in the workplace as unreasonable for the company. The results further showed that the accommodation of religious practices of Indonesian Muslim workers was considered as unreasonable because of some important issues such as disruption of job duty, inflexible work schedule, other workers\u27 concern/objection, facility cost and management response/ approach. Accordingly, the study suggests some recommendations. First, the Taiwanese employer needs to sit together with relevant government institutions and religious leaders to formulate a specific policy on the accommodation of religious practices in the workplace. Second, as a single case study, the results of this study might lack of external validity (generalizability). It therefore strongly suggests prospective researchers to do a cross-cases study of this phenomenon or issue

    The Enactment of Portfolio Assessment in English Writing Classes

    ABSTRACT The objectives of this research were to (1) identify the teacher’s perspective about the characteristics and practices of portfolio assessment in English writing classes, (2) investigate the enactment of portfolio assessment in English writing classes, and (3) investigate the extent to which the enactment of portfolio assessment affected the quality of teaching learning process in English writing classes. Design of this research was case study. This research was conducted at a junior high school in Jember in 2015. Techniques of collecting data used were observation, interview, and document analysis. In analyzing data, Miles and Huberman’s model was considered to be used through data reduction, data display, and conclusion. Based on the research data, it was found that (1) The English teachers assume that assessing writing by using portfolio assessment is good and useful, (2) portfolio assessment is enacted in English writing classes based on some parameters such as documenting the students’ writings, scoring by using clear scoring rubric, giving feedback and encouraging students’ self-reflection, giving chance to students to revise, and keeping the portfolio document as the document model, and (3) it gives good effect to the quality of teaching learning process in English writing classes. From those research data, it can be concluded the English teachers have good understanding about the characteristic and practices of enacting portfolio assessment in English writing classes, and product portfolio is chosen as the type of portfolio. Moreover, portfolio assessment brings some benefits which can be addressed to both students and English teachers.     Dewasa ini semakin banyak cara untuk mempermudah pembelajaran. Berbagai metode telah diterapkan untuk mencapai hasil pembelajaran yang lebih maksimal. Penggunaan teknologi merupakan salah satu aspek yang sangat digemari oleh semua kalangan, dan dapat diterapkan ke semua aspek terutama pendidikan. Dari segi teknologi game selain sebagai media hiburan, sepatutnya dapat juga menjadi pendekatan bagi pembelajaran yang interaktif dan menyenangkan. Genre game RPG-Adventure bisa menjadi pendekatan yang sangat tepat untuk diterapkan sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis permainan pada teknologi. Game berjudul "Petualangan Titan" merupakan salah satu cara untuk memperkenalkan kepada semua kalangan terutama anak-anak tentang bagaimana proses pembentukan madu didalam Perut lebah. Perancangan game ini diawali dengan analisa kebutuhan, perancangan story board, pembuatan desain, pengkodean, dan pengujian white-box dan black-box. Hasil pengujian white-box menunjukkan bahwa ketika aplikasi dijalankan, terlihat bahwa salah satu basis set yang dihasilkan linier dan terlihat bahwa simpul telah dieksekusi satu kali. Berdasarkan ketentuan tersebut dari segi kelayakan software, system ini telah memenuhi syarat. Sedangkan hasil pengujian black-box menunjukkan bahwa pengujian yang meliputi input, proses, dan outpun dengan acuan rancangan perangkat lunak telah terpenuhi dengan hasil sesuai dengan rancangan. Penerapan RPG-adventure untuk pembelajaran proses pembuatan madu diharapkan dapat mencapai hasil yang optimal jika didukung dengan pendekatan dan metode pembelajaran yang sesuai. Pada game petualangan Titan ini dapat dikembangkan lagi tingkat kesulitan dan penjelasan yang lebih interaktif

    PT. Sumitomo is a company operating in the rental of heavy equipment for construction industry. Some devices which are rented are excavator, tractors, bulldozer, shovel dozer, motor grader, vibration roller, mesh grid roller, dump truck, and a ripper. In his activities, PT. Sumitomo also serves the complaint for damages, repairs, and procurement of heavy equipments. Ideally, the tenancy agreement drawn up in the employment contract should have complete records on employment contracts such as company profiles of tenants, the type of heavy equipment rented, maintenance time, the location of heavy equipment, and other records as a tract record of tenancy transactions. Right now, the common problems which is encountered is the file of record contract of employment and other support only the hard copy and disorganized, this condition make inefficient for data finding and data processing if the data will be used as the reports reference materials of contract. Moreover, there is no record of complaints of vendor partners, reports of the newest condition of the heavy equipment, the cause of damage, repair locations, technicians, and the spare parts replaced until now. Based on those, the company needs a computerized system for data management which is related in the activities of company. The system built as web-based system to facilitate the related parties to obtain the data and information needed at that moment
