Analysing Role of Social Media on Youth’s Academic Development
Socialmedia helps in engaging students and supportsinterface with the course content. Twitter allows novices and teachers to interact via “tweetsâ€, hashtags, personal messages, etc using gadgets like smartphones, computer systems, or any other device having internet access. To know the differences in commitmentlevel and grades, ANOVA has been used with class sections. Questionnaire method has also been used to analyze the role of social media on one’s academic development. ANOVA results projected that the experimental group showed a much higher degree of engagement level as compared to the control group in ways that surpassedold-style classroom set up. The study gave an experimental confirmation that social media can be successfully used as an educational tool for engaging students and teachers into a livelier and participating role
Dosimetric study of hypo fractionated adjuvant post mastectomy radiotherapy with and without bolus and assessment of acute toxicity of treatment: a single institution study
Background: Moderate hypo fractionated PMRT is convenient for patients and is particularly beneficial in busy radiotherapy department like in developing nations. Furthermore, PMRT can be given with or without bolus as per institution protocol. The purpose of this study was to do dosimetric comparison of with and without bolus plans in patient undergoing hypo fractionated PMRT and to assess acute toxicity of treatment. Methods: Our study is single institution prospective study done at DMCH cancer center Ludhiana, Punjab, India. Study period was from March 2020 to October 2020 and we included post mastectomy patients irradiated by hypo fractionated regime. After CT simulation and contouring, rapid arc radiotherapy plans were evaluated and DVH analysis was done for PTV and OARs. Acute toxicity was assessed during treatment and 1 month post radiotherapy treatment. Ethical approval was not taken due to COVID 19 pandemic emergency, but also hypofractionated PMRT is standard of care. Statistical analysis was done on SPSS, Version 20.0Results: A total of 30 patients were analyzed which received mean PTV dose of 42.3Gy in 16 fractions (8 fractions with and 8 without bolus). We were able to achieve adequate PTV coverage in plan sum which included both bolus and non-bolus plan. However, use of bolus resulted in statistically significant increase in low dose volume mainly V4Gy of ipsilateral lung in left sided breast cancer cases. Despite use of bolus no patient had above grade I skin toxicity. Conclusions: Moderate hypo fractionated PMRT with and without bolus is well tolerated with minimal acute side effects. It is important to note that use of bolus results in higher V4Gy volume of ipsilateral lung more precisely in left side breast cancer cases
Pulmonary Histoplasmosis in Renal Allograft Patients-Diagnostic Challenge of Radiology, Sorted By Cytology
Pulmonary histoplasmosis is caused by the fungus
Histoplasma capsulatum acquired by inhaling
microconidia or hyphal fragments of the mould
primarily affecting lungs. Clinical disease may vary
from asymptomatic mild flu like illness to a chronic
disseminated disease or a chronic pulmonary disease
resembling tuberculosis. It may often resemble
pulmonary malignancy and continues to complicate
the evaluation of pulmonary nodules. Here we present
a case of a 22 year old male, receipent of a renal
transplant with cough, recurrent haemoptysis and low
grade fever posing a diagnostic challenge clinically
and radiologically
Multi-robot system using low-cost infrared sensors
This paper presents a proposed set of the novel technique, methods, and algorithm for simultaneous path planning, area exploration, area retrieval, obstacle avoidance, object detection, and object retrieval  autonomously by a multi-robot system. The proposed methods and algorithms are built considering the use of low cost infrared sensors with the ultimate function of efficiently exploring the given unknown area and simultaneously identifying desired objects by analyzing the physical characteristics of several of the objects that come across during exploration. In this paper, we have explained the scenario by building a coordinative multi-robot system consisting of two autonomously operated robots equipped with low-cost and low-range infrared sensors to perform the assigned task by analyzing some of the sudden changes in their environment. Along with identifying and retrieving the desired object, the proposed methodology also provide an inclusive analysis of the area being explored. The novelties presented in the paper may significantly provide a cost-effective solution to the problem of area exploration and finding a known object in an unknown environment by demonstrating an innovative approach of using the infrared sensors instead of high cost long range sensors and cameras. Additionally, the methodology provides a speedy and uncomplicated method of traversing a complicated arena while performing all the necessary and inter-related tasks of avoiding the obstacles, analyzing the area as well as objects, and reconstructing the area using all these information collected and interpreted for an unknown environment. The methods and algorithms proposed are simulated over a complex arena to depict the operations and manually tested over a physical environment which provided 78% correct results with respect to various complex parameters set randomly
A Usual Schwannoma at an Unusual Site-The Mesorectum
The aim of the article is to present a rare case of
mesorectal schwannoma diagnosed by fine needle
aspiration cytology in a 36 year old man.
Schwannomas are benign encapsulated tumors arising
from Schwann cells of motor and peripheral nerves.
They commonly present on the head, neck and trunk
and on rare occasion arise in the retroperitoneum and
in the lumbosacral region. It is however quite uncommon
for a schwanomma to originate in the
mesorectum. In evaluating such cases, FNAC provides
a safe and effective method to resolve the great
diagnostic dilemma

Where All the Roads Meet? A Cross Over Perspective on Host Factors Regulating SARS-CoV-2 Replication
In the recent issue of Cell, four studies utilized genome wide CRISPR/Cas screens to identify host factors critical for the SARS-CoV-2 replication. We performed a comparative analysis of significant host factors (p<0.05) that were identified in these studies and found that fifteen candidates were common in at least three studies. Apart from ACE2 other common host factors included COG3, COG8, GDI2, ARPP19, SLC35B2, LIMA1, TLR9, VPS26A, CSNK2B, LRRN2, DDX51, ALG6, C1QTNF7 and BCOR. Interestingly, some of these host factors have been shown to be critical for other viruses including HIV-1, Dengue, Influenza, Zika etc., suggesting their crucial role in viral biology. Additionally, viral interactome of these host factors revealed that they were associated with several SARS-CoV-2 proteins as well. Hence, we present here, a comparative analysis of four genome wide screens against SARS-CoV-2, revealing common host factors that could be modulated to regulate SARS-CoV-2 and other viruses as well
Comparative evaluation of dexmedetomidine and midazolam-ketamine combination as sedative agents in pediatric dentistry: A double-blinded randomized controlled trial
Background: Pharmacological methods have been used as an adjunct to enhance child cooperativeness and facilitate dental treatment. Objective: Purpose of this study was to evaluate and compare the effect of sedation by intranasal dexmedetomidine and oral combination drug midazolam–ketamine in a group of children with uncooperative behavior requiring dental treatment. Materials and Methods: This was a prospective, randomized, double-blind study that included patients 3–9 years old with American Society of Anesthesiologists-I status. About 36 children presenting early childhood caries were randomly assigned to one of three groups studied: Group MK received intranasal saline and oral midazolam (0.5 mg/kg) with ketamine (5 mg/kg) mixed in mango juice; Group DX received intranasal dexmedetomidine (1 μg/kg) and oral mango juice; and Group C received intranasal saline and oral mango juice. Patients' heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation were recorded before, during, and at the end of the procedure. Patients' behavior, sedation status, and wake up behavior were evaluated with modified observer assessment of alertness and sedation scale. Ease of treatment completion was evaluated according to Houpt scale. Results: Hemodynamic changes were statistically insignificant in Group MK and Group DX. About 75% patients in Group MK were successfully sedated as compared to 53.9% Group DX and none of the patients in Group C. Ease of treatment completion was better with Group MK as compared to Group DX and least with Group C. Around 50% patients in Group MK had postoperative complications. Conclusion: Oral midazolam–ketamine combination and intranasal dexmedetomidine evaluated in the present study can be used safely and effectively in uncooperative pediatric dental patients for producing conscious sedation
