New five-dimensional Bianchi type magnetically charged hairy topological black hole solutions in string theory
We construct black hole solutions to the leading order of string effective
action in five dimensions with the source given by dilaton and magnetically
charged antisymmetric gauge -field. Presence of the considered -field
leads to the unusual asymptotic behavior of solutions which are neither
asymptotically flat nor asymptotically (A)dS. We consider the three-dimensional
space part to correspond to the Bianchi classes and so the horizons of these
topological black hole solutions are modeled by seven homogeneous Thurston
geometries of , , , , ,
nilgeometry, and solvegeometry. Calculating the quasi-local mass, temperature,
entropy, dilaton charge, and magnetic potential, we show that the first law of
black hole thermodynamics is satisfied by these quantities and the dilaton hair
is of the secondary type. Furthermore, for Bianchi type , the -dual black
hole solution is obtained which carries no charge associated with -field and
possesses a dilaton hair of secondary kind. Also, the entropy turns to be
invariant under the -duality
Freeware solutions for spectropolarimetric data reduction
Most of the solar physicists use very expensive software for data reduction
and visualization. We present hereafter a reliable freeware solution based on
the Python language. This is made possible by the association of the latter
with a small set of additional libraries developed in the scientific community.
It provides then a very powerful and economical alternative to other
interactive data languages. Although it can also be used for any kind of
post-processing of data, we demonstrate the capabities of such a set of
freeware tools using THeMIS observations of the second solar spectrum.Comment: 4 pages, 2 figures (to appear in the Procs. of Solar Polarization

T-Duality in Sigma Models with Kaluza-Klein Metric as Electric-Magnetic Duality
It is shown that the T-duality in \sigma-model with Kaluza-Klein metric,
without or with a torsion term, can be interpreted as electric-magnetic duality
for some of their solitonic solutions. Actually Buscher's duality
transformation interchanges the topological and Noether charges.Comment: 12 Pages, Late
Family process and content: comparing families of suicide attempters, Human Immunodeficiency Virus positive patients and general population in southern Iran, 2012
Background: Family is considered as the smallest social unit, which is the basis of forming a society and one of the effective factors for individual behaviors. When family pattern is useful, the family will be productive and otherwise it becomes nonproductive. Aim: This study aimed to investigate family process and content among families of suicide attempters, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) positive patients, and general population in Shiraz, Southern Iran. Subjects and Methods: This was a causal‑comparative study. Our study population included three groups of single men, including suicide attempters, HIV positive patients and general population in Southern Iran. Our sample size was 180 male individuals including 60 suicide attempters referring to one of hospitals in Shiraz, 60 HIV positive patients referring to Behavioral Health Consultation Center, and 60 individuals from the general population who were selected using simple sampling method and were being investigated by Samani’s family process and family content questionnaires. Data were being analyzed by ANCOVA and MANCOVA. Results: The two clinical groups had a poorer situation than the general population (P < 0.001) in some dimensions of family process including decision‑making and coping (P < 0.001), mutual respect, and communication (P = 0.02) when compared with the general population. HIV positive patients had significantly lower scores than suicide attempters in some dimensions of family content including financial resources, social position (P < 0.001), and place of residence (P = 0.04). The two clinical groups had a poor situation in most of the dimensions when compared with the general population (P < 0.001). Conclusions: The results of this study indicate the importance of education in the field of communication, decision‑making and coping skills. Keywords: Family content, Family process, Human immunodeficiency virus, Iran, Positive patients, Shiraz, Suicide attempter
