    Analisis Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematik Siswa SMK di Kota Cimahi pada Materi Program Linier

    The purpose of this research is to analyze a problem solving ability of students in mathematic to finished the question of problem solving for material linear program. This research applied for students grade XI in one of vocational high school in cimahi city with the sample 29 students. The method of the research is descriptive qualitative. The instrument is question of problem solving. The result by the task of students were score and analyze the mistake of the answer. The result show is the student who can not finished the problem of understanding a problem is 6 students. Students who can not planing the strategy or transformations is 11. Student who can not finished the problem solving is 18. Student who can not conclude the answer is 23. The conclution is the problem solving ability os students in one of vocational high school in cimahi is low, then efforts need to be made to improve.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal pemecahan masalah pada materi program linear. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas XI di salah satu SMK di Kota Cimahi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Instrumen terdiri dari soal kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Tes yang dikerjakan siswa diberi skor dan dilakukan analisis terhadap kesalahan jawaban. Dari hasil penelitian dari 29 siswa menunjukan bahwa siswa yang tidak bisa menyelesaikan masalah pada tahap pemahaman masalah sebanyak 6 orang. Siswa tidak dapat melakukan perencanaan strategi atau transformasi sebanyak 11 orang. Siswa tidak bisa menyelesaikan masalah sebanyak 18 orang. Siswa tidak dapat menyimpulkan jawaban sebanyak 23 orang. Sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada salah satu SMK di Kota Cimahi masih tergolong rendah sehingga perlu dilakukan upaya peningkatan

    The purpose of this study is to examine the achievement of problem solving abilities of junior high school students using contextual and teaching leaning learning. The study population included all seventh grade students of SMP in West Bandung Regency. From the population that was taken randomly, namely class VII I amounted to 44 students using a leaning contextual and teaching approach and class VII J amounted to 44 students with classes using conventional learning. The data collection used is a test question in the form of a test of problem solving ability totaling five questions with indicators (1) understanding the problem (2) planning completion (3) completion according to plan (4) checking again. To test the effectiveness of learning by using a leaning contextual and teaching approach and conventional tests used inality tests. To compare the average achievement of contextual learning and leaning teaching and conventional learning the data were analyzed using the two sample t-test. The results of this study indicate that the overall achievement of problem-solving skills is seen that there are differences using contextual learning and leaning teaching rather than conventional  learning

    Kemampuan Representasi Matematis Siswa SMP pada Materi Kekongruenan dan Kesebangunan

    The ability of the mathematical representation is the ability to create a model of a problem into a new form of verbal, text, tables, or graphs. The research is a qualitative descriptive study aimed to systematically describe the capabilities of mathematical representation. Data collection techniques in this study conducted using tests such as about the description, the test is given to students of class IX in one of the Junior High School in the city of Cimahi with 37 students. The results showed that the ability of the mathematical representation of students on the material for the indicator congruence and similarity of words or text are at less qualification with the percentage of students' average score of 43%. Indicators visual representation including sufficient qualification with the percentage of students' average score of 60%. On the indicator equations or mathematical expressions including the qualification is very less with the average percentage score of 34.75%. Difficulties faced by students predominantly found in Question 2b, 4b with the kind of test containing indicator words or text and Question 4c with indicators equations or mathematical expressions.</span
