The purpose of the present study to find out and investigates the use of library services-facilities and reading habits of senior secondary school students in Nagaur district Rajasthan. This study was conducted in 6 Senior Secondary Schools under the CBSE affiliation schools and Government Board of Rajasthan schools in Nagaur Rajasthan. This study display the diverse aspects of reading habits like, reading study of the documents issued from the library, use of references documents, aims of the study, place of reading, time spent inside the library, which medium reading documents preferred by students .For this study only class 11th and 12th students are selected. The total numbers of population sample is 425. Novels, story books and G.K are the most prefer reading documents among the students. Therefore the population size of the students is very huge, so randomly sample is adopted for this study

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the research publication of Chemistry department, Tezpur University. The SCOPUS database has been used to extract the data published during 2000 to 2020. The retrieved data has been analyzed on the following parameters; year-wise distribution of publication, form-wise distribution, authorship pattern, degree of collaboration, most productive authors, collaborative institution and preferred source for publication. A total of 1148 records have been retrieved and MS Excel is used to analyze the data. During the time period, the highest number of publication was in 2014, 95.56% of the publication were published in the form of article, RSC Advances is one of the most preferred journal for publication, the highest number of paper have collaborated with Dibrugarh Universit

POROUS BASED IMMUNOSENSOR FOR DETECTION OF LDL MOLECULES FROM BLOOD SERUM USING ARRAY OF CANTILEVER BEAM

    Get PDF
In this work, the NiO thin film based array of Cantilever structure for the detection of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) is proposed. To detect the LDL molecules in the applied blood serum, the highly selective Anti-apolipoprotein B (AAB-100) act as the phosphate buffer solution (PBS) and it is coated at the tip of the porous NiO thin film based array of cantilever beam. The diffusion length and deflection of cantilever beam are analyzed for the different loads. Presence of five LDL molecules will make the displacement of 3.089e-4 μm. While the amount of LDL molecule is increased, the displacement also gets increased. Â

Abstract-Within the last decade, the continuous development of mobile technology has motivated an intense research in mobile data services. Among these services, location-based services and location-dependant queries have attracted a lot of attention from the software industry as well as from researchers. Although a number of locations based service methods have been proposed, the performance is not satisfactory in the case of dynamic data management problems that introduce high overhead in update and query operations. In this paper, we introduce a proxy based distributed dynamic data management architecture for location based services that reduces network cost with required quality of service (QoS). The system proposes a distributed hierarchical database structure with collocated proxy for efficient service delivery to location-dependant queries especially Range Queries (RQ). The system that we propose have the following advantages. i) It performs efficient processing of location dependant queries, especially Range Queries spanning over multiple network cells ii) It reduces wireless communication between mobile devices and servers. iii) The system is scalable where location data is distributed and arranged hierarchically. We use proxy objects to carry out processing task for each mobile user. Thus proxies play an important role and in charge of routing the queries to different (distributed) databases and present the results to queries efficiently. Simulation study shows the effectiveness of our proposed architecture

Library Facilities and Services for Differently Abled Students in Universities of Karnataka: A Study

    Get PDF
Purpose – In Karnataka, there are considerable number of differently abled persons, who are studying in various educational institutions. It has been observed that some of the educational institutions provided with suitable access facilities in Libraries to the disabled, but majority of them are devoid of this facility. In this article, an attempt has been made to study on the facilities being provided to the disabled users in some of the University Libraries of Karnataka. The facilities being provided are briefed under 3 major categories – (1) Access to resources, (2) Physical access to library building, and (3) Services and communications. Design/Methodology/Approach – Questionnaire method has been adopted to collect data from identified 21 Universities in India. Responses received from the Libraries have been analysed and presented. Findings – The findings are presented under above mentioned 3 major categories in the body of the article. Originality/Value – The present work is original in nature. The study will be useful to the disabled to understand on the facilities available for them in the selected Universities of Karnataka

Internet of Things (IoT) is about augmenting the existing power of the Internet beyond computers and smartphones to a whole range of other things, processes, and environments involving living or non-living species. It can bring life to the objects and enable them to communicate. This study presents the bibliometric analysis and science-mapping analysis on IoT. The data were extracted from the Web of Science (WoS) database from 1989–2019. In total 14,469 documents (articles, review, editorial material, proceedings, etc) were retrieved, which were further processed by VOSviewer software to perform advanced bibliometric analysis and science-mapping analysis. This research identifies the most productive or leading authors, countries, journals, institutions, keywords and to know their co-authorship pattern, co-citation pattern, bibliographic coupling pattern, the co-occurrence of keywords pattern in the research area of IoT. Results showed that Joel J.P.C Rodrigues was the most productive author, the People’s Republic of China was the most productive country, the Journal of EEE Access was the leading journal, Luigi Atzori was the most cited author. The main keywords more frequently occurred were Internet of things, and Internet, and Security. The analysis showed a collaboration relation between authors, countries and institutions. The visualizations conducted on this topic offer exploratory information on current status and trends on the scientific literature of IoT and provides insights for established and novice researchers in the understanding of this research topic
