PERFORMANCE AND EMISSION ANALYSIS OF BIO- DIESEL FUEL WITH TITANIUM- OXIDE COATED PISTON ON 4-STROKE D.I DIESEL ENGINE
Diesel engines are being used extensively for fuel economy but due to gradual depletion of Petroleum resources and increase in exhaust emissions, there is an urgent need for suitable alternative fuels for the diesel engines. As our country is an agricultural country, if the alternate fuels are produced by our farmers it will be beneficial for the country and the farmers also. In recent studies, researchers studied various vegetable oils like canola oil, aloveera oil, soya been oil, flaxseed oil and hone oil etc. Out of all flaxseed oil play an important role as an alternative fuel. But the properties of flaxseed oil are not suitable for the usage in the existing diesel engines without blending with diesel fuel. The performance of the engine depends on the combustion phenomenon and it further depends on the amount of heat retained in the combustion chamber. Hence the present work is planned accordingly to develop an insulated engine by coating the piston with TIO2 material. So that more amount of heat will be retained in the combustion chamber which aids the combustion. Further the performance of flaxseed biodiesel blend namely B10, B20, B30 and B40 are tested and the results are mentioned accordingly
Mimo Detection
The use of digital wireless communication systems has become more
and more common during recent years. A multiple-input-multiple-output
(MIMO) system techniques can be implemented to enhance the capacity of
a wireless link. We have investigated the performances of MIMO detectors
: Linear detectors(ZF detector, MMSE detector), SIC(Successive Interfer-
ence Cancellation) signal detectors, Maximum Likelihood detector, Sphere
decoding. In SIC signal detection we use MMSE weight matrix
The equation of state of neutron matter, symmetry energy, and neutron star structure
We review the calculation of the equation of state of pure neutron matter
using quantum Monte Carlo (QMC) methods. QMC algorithms permit the study of
many-body nuclear systems using realistic two- and three-body forces in a
nonperturbative framework. We present the results for the equation of state of
neutron matter, and focus on the role of three-neutron forces at supranuclear
density. We discuss the correlation between the symmetry energy, the neutron
star radius and the symmetry energy. We also combine QMC and theoretical models
of the three-nucleon interactions, and recent neutron star observations to
constrain the value of the symmetry energy and its density dependence.Comment: 11 pages, 11 figure
Estimation and Determinants of Chronic Poverty in India : An Alternative Approach
The paper conceptualizes chronic poverty by using the spaces of income and nutrition and estimates its incidence among states and social groups. It also aims to improve our understanding of the determinant of chronic poverty by considering economic, demographic and social factors. It attempts to answer the following questions : How important a determinant of chronic poverty is household income? What factors inhibit escape from chronic poverty? How different are the other poor from chronic poor? The analysis uses the unit level NSS and NFHS data.Chrinic Poverty, India

Thermal energy storage system using phase change materials: Constant heat source
The usage of phase change materials (PCM) to store the heat in the form of latent heat is increased, because large quantity of thermal energy is stored in smaller volumes. In the present experimental investigation paraffin and stearic acid are employed as PCMs in thermal energy storage (TES) system to store the heat as sensible and latent heat also. A constant heat source is used to supply heat transfer fluid (HTF) at constant temperature to the TES system. In the TES system PCMs are stored in the form of spherical capsules of 38 mm diameter made of high density poly ethylene (HDPE). The results of the investigation are related to the charging time and recovery of stored energy from the TES system
