Impact Of Music Therapy On Stress Management

Music, as an art form holds a special place in human culture. It encompasses a wide range of sounds and melodies that evoke emotions, thoughts, and memories. Traditional philosophies define music as tones ordered horizontally (as melodies) and vertically (as harmonies). Music theory, within this realm, is studied with the presupposition that music is orderly and often pleasant to hear. Music Therapy is the clinical & evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program. Studies suggest that those undergoing music therapy experience reduced anxiety immediately after the session, which indicates that music therapy could be a convenient way to reduce symptoms quickly. Studies also suggest that music therapy can improve symptoms of depression, with those undergoing music therapy along with standard treatments for depression such as talking therapy improving more than people who only received standard therapy. Chen, X., Wei, Q., Jing, R., & Fan, Y. (2021) conducted a study on cancer patients to investigate the effects of music therapy on stress and quality of life. The results indicated that music therapy interventions significantly reduced stress levels and enhanced the overall quality of life for cancer patients1. In a study conducted by Shirsat, A., Jha, R. K., & Verma, P. (2023), researchers explored the impact of music therapy on individuals with Alzheimer's disease. They found that music therapy could be a powerful treatment strategy, improving cognitive function and emotional well-being in Alzheimer's patients2. The importance of consulting qualified music therapists when implementing music therapy as a stress management tool will be emphasized. The findings and insights from this study, underlining the significance of music therapy in stress management for man and women are significant. The role of music therapy in fostering social connections and providing support will be explored, emphasizing its significance in stress management

Thematic analysis of big data in financial institutions using NLP techniques with a cloud computing perspective : a systematic literature review

This literature review explores the existing work and practices in applying thematic analysis natural language processing techniques to financial data in cloud environments. This work aims to improve two of the five Vs of the big data system. We used the PRISMA approach (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) for the review. We analyzed the research papers published over the last 10 years about the topic in question using a keywordbased search and bibliometric analysis. The systematic literature review was conducted in multiple phases, and filters were applied to exclude papers based on the title and abstract initially, then based on the methodology/conclusion, and, finally, after reading the full text. The remaining papers were then considered and are discussed here. We found that automated data discovery methods can be augmented by applying an NLP-based thematic analysis on the financial data in cloud environments. This can help identify the correct classification/categorization and measure data quality for a sentiment analysis

Cancer informatics analysis indicates high CHAC2 associated with unfavorable prognosis in breast cancer

Breast cancer remains the most commonly diagnosed cancer worldwide and exhibits a poor prognosis. The induction of genetic changes deregulates several genes that increase the disposal towards this life-threatening disease. CHAC2, a member of the glutathione degrading enzyme family has been shown to suppress gastric and colorectal cancer progression, however, the expression of CHAC2 in breast cancer has not been reported. We did an analysis of CHAC2 expression in breast cancer patients from various online tools like UALCAN, GEPIA2, GENT2, TIMER2, and bcGenExminer v4.8. Further, we used the Kaplan-Meier plotter to establish the significance of CHAC2 in BC patient survival and prognosis while TISIDB and TIMER databases were used to investigate the filtration of immune cells. The results showed that CHAC2 levels were high in breast cancer patients and elevated CHAC2 was associated with low overall survival. Taken together, the results of the present study show that like its paralog CHAC1, CHAC2 may also be an important biomarker and could have a potential therapeutic implication in breast cancer

Comparative Analysis of Homologous Sequences of Saccharum officinarum and Saccharum spontaneum Reveals Independent Polyploidization Events

Sugarcane (Saccharum spp. hybrids) is an economically important crop widely grown in tropical and subtropical regions for sugar and ethanol production. However, the large genome size, high ploidy level, interspecific hybridization and aneuploidy make sugarcane one of the most complex genomes and have long hampered genome research in sugarcane. Modern sugarcane cultivars are derived from interspecific hybridization between S. officinarum and S. spontaneum with 80–90% of the genome from S. officinarum and 10–20% of the genome from S. spontaneum. We constructed bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) libraries of S. officinarum variety LA Purple (2n = 8x = 80) and S. spontaneum haploid clone AP85-441 (2n = 4x = 32), and selected and sequenced 97 BAC clones from the two Saccharum BAC libraries. A total of 5,847,280 bp sequence from S. officinarum and 5,011,570 bp from S. spontaneum were assembled and 749 gene models were annotated in these BACs. A relatively higher gene density and lower repeat content were observed in S. spontaneum BACs than in S. officinarum BACs. Comparative analysis of syntenic regions revealed a high degree of collinearity in genic regions between Saccharum and Sorghum bicolor and between S. officinarum and S. spontaneum. In the syntenic regions, S. spontaneum showed expansion relative to S. officinarum, and both S. officinarum and S. spontaneum showed expansion relative to sorghum. Among the 75 full-length LTR retrotransposons identified in the Saccharum BACs, none of them are older than 2.6 mys and no full-length LTR elements are shared between S. officinarum and S. spontaneum. In addition, divergence time estimated using a LTR junction marker and a syntenic gene shared by 3 S. officinarum and 1 S. spontaneum BACs revealed that the S. spontaneum intergenic region was distant to those from the 3 homologous regions in S. officinarum. Our results suggested that S. officinarum and S. spontaneum experienced at least two rounds of independent polyploidization in each lineage after their divergence from a common ancestor

Analysis of waiting and service cost for a multi-server queuing model in a tertiary care hospital

A common situation that occurs in everyday life is that of queuing or waiting in line. The problem of queuing in relation to the time spent by patients to access clinical services is increasingly becoming a major source of concern to most health –care providers. As the patients wait too long for service could result to cost to them which is called as waiting cost. Providing good service capacity to operate a system involves excessive cost. But not providing enough service capacity results in excessive waiting time and cost. In this study, the queuing characteristics at the tertiary care hospital of the Autonomous State medical College, Firozabad was analyzed using a multi-Server queuing Model and the Waiting and service Costs determined with a view to determining the optimal service level. Data for this study was collected at the tertiary care hospital for four weeks through observations, interviews and by administering questionnaire. The data was analyzed using TORA optimization Software as well as using descriptive analysis.&nbsp
