    Pengaruh Model PQ4R terhadap Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik Kelas IV

    The purpose of the study was to know the positive and significant effects of the application of the PQ4R models on the learning rerult. The type of the research was experimental research. The research design used non-equivalent control group design. The population amounted to 45 students.The sample used purposive sampling with a total of 24 students. The data collection techniques in the form of non-test techniques and tests the data analysis techniques used statistical tests independent samples test. The results showed that there was a positive and significant effect on the preview, question, read, reflect, recite, review (PQ4R) model on the learning rerult of 0.58 students with the moderate category and tcount 2.177 ttable 2.021 (with α = 0.05).Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan penerapan model PQ4R terhadap hasil belajar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 45 orang peserta didik. Sampel penelitian menggunakansampling purposive dengan jumlah 24 orang peserta didik. Teknikpengumpulan data menggunakantekniknon tesdantes.Teknikanalisis data  menggunakan uji statistik independet sampel t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan model preview, question, read, reflect, recite, review (PQ4R) terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik 0,58 dengan kategori sedang dan  thitung  2,177 ttabel 2,021 (dengan α = 0,05).Kata kunci: Model PQ4R, Hasil Belaja

    Hubungan Motivasi Belajar dengan Hasil Belajar Matematika

    This study aims to determine the significant relationship between learning motivation and mathematics learning achievement of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Tanjung Harapan. This type of research is ex-postfacto correlation. The population is 45 students and the research sample is 45 students. Data collection techniques were carried out namely observation, interviews, questionnaires (questionnaires), and study documentation. The instrument for data collection is a questionnaire with a Likert scale, which was previously tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis used is product moment correlation and multiple correlation. Based on the analysis conducted by the results of the study it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between motivation to learn and mathematics learning outcomes indicated by a correlation coefficient of 0.581 at the moderate level.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 1 Tanjung Harapan.  Jenis penelitian yaitu ex-postfacto korelasi.  Populasi berjumlah 45 peserta didik dan sampel penelitian berjumlah 45 peserta didik.  Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu observasi, wawancara, kuesioner (angket), dan studi dokumentasi.  Instrumen pengumpul data berupa angket dengan skala Likert, yang sebelumnya diuji validitas dan reliabilitas.  Analisis data yang digunakan adalah korelasi product moment dan multiple correlation.     The purpose of this research to determine the significant and positive relationship between learning resources’ utilization with learning outcomes, learning motivation with learning outcomes, and learning resources’ utilization and learning motivation with mathematics learning outcomes.The type of research is ex-postfacto correlation. Population was 154 and sample was 65 students. Data collection techniques are observation, questionnaire and documentation study. Data analysis used is product moment correlation and multiple correlation. Based on the analysis of research data can be concluded that there is a significant and positive relationship between the use of learning resources with the results of learning mathematics, there is a significant and positive relationship between learning motivation with mathematics learning outcomes, and there is a significant relationship between the use of learning resources and learning motivation together with mathematics learning outcomes. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara pemanfaatan sumber belajar dengan hasil belajar, motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar, serta pemanfaatan sumber belajar dan motivasi belajar secara bersama-sama terhadap hasil belajar matematika. Jenis penelitian yaitu ex-postfacto korelasi. Populasi berjumlah 154 siswa dan sampel penelitian sebanyak 65 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, kuesioner dan studi dokumentasi.     The problem in this research is the low of social studies learning result of grade V student of SD Negeri 6 Merak Batin. The purpose of this research was to know the influence of cooperative learning model type two stay two stray (TSTS) to the result of V class student social studies. The type of the research was experiment research. The design used in this research was quasi experimental design. The population in this research amounted to 50 student of grade 5. The determination of research sample used purposive sample. Data collection tools used questionnaires and cognitive tests. The data analysis was used independent sample t-test. The learning results of this research was limited only to the cognitive domain. The result showed that there was a significant influence on the application of cooperative learning model two stay two stray tipe to the students' social studies learning outcomes.Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V SD Negeri 6 Merak Batin. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe two stay two stray (TSTS) terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V dengan jumlah 50 siswa. Penentuan sampel penelitian menggunakan purposive sample. Alat pengumpul data menggunakan angket dan tes kognitif. Analisis data uji statistik independent sample t-test. Hasil belajar dalam penelitian ini dibatasi hanya pada ranah kognitif.     Research problem of low learning result of Civics student of class V SD Negeri 6 West Metro. The purpose of this research was to determine the significant influence on the application of cooperative learning model type Picture and Picture to learning out comes. This type of research is experimental research. The research design used is non-equivalent control group design. Technique of collecting data is done by test technique. The result of this research is got the mean value of posttest in experiment and control class that is 69,00 and 63,72, it means there is improvement of student learning result of Civics. Based on hypothesis test using independent t-test sample obtained t-count data equal to 2,26 while t-table equal to 2.00 hence can be concluded there is positive influence and significant on the model of cooperative learning type Picture and Picture to the results of learning Civics students of class V SD Negeri 6 West Metro. Masalah penelitian rendahnya hasil belajar PKn siswa kelas V SD Negeri 6 Metro Barat. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui pengaruh yang signifikan pada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Picture And Picture terhadap hasil belajar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu non-equivalent control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik tes.. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata posttest pada kelas eksperimen dan kontrol yaitu 69,00 dan 63,72, artinya terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar PKn siswa. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan rumus independent sample t-test diperoleh data t-hitung sebesar 2,26 sedangkan t-tabel sebesar 2,00 maka dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan pada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Picture and Picture terhadap hasil belajar PKn siswa kelas V SD Negeri 6 Metro Barat.                               Kata kunci: hasil, picture and picture, PKn

    Marginal bone changes around platform-switched conical connection implants placed 1 or 2 mm subcrestally: A multicenter crossover randomized controlled trial

    AbstractIntroduction:This study analyzes early marginal bone modifications occurring aroundplatform-switched implants with conical connection placed 1 or 2 mm subcrestally.Methods:This crossover randomized controlled trial enrolled partially edentulouspatients needing two implants in either the posterior maxilla or mandible. Eachpatient received two platform-switched implants with conical connection inserted2 mm (Test) and 1 mm (Control) subcrestally. Definitive abutments were immediatelyconnected and, after 4 months of unsubmerged healing, screwed metal-ceramiccrowns were delivered. Radiographs were taken at implant placement (T0), prosthesisdelivery (T1), and after 1 year of prosthetic loading (T2).Results:Fifty-one patients (25 males and 26 females; mean age 61.2 ± 12.1 years)totaling 102 implants were included in the final analysis. Mean peri-implant bonelevel (PBL) reduction from T0 to T2 was not significantly different around Test (0.49± 0.32 mm) and Control implants (0.46 ± 0.35 mm;p=0.66). Multivariate linearregression models highlighted a significant positive correlation between history ofperiodontitis and PBL reduction. At T2, no Test group implant and 6 Control groupimplants exhibited PBL below the implant platform (11.8% of Control groupimplants).Conclusion:No significant differences in peri-implant marginal bone changes weredemonstrated after 1 year of prosthetic loading between platform-switched implantswith conical connection inserted either 1 or 2 mm subcrestally. However, 2 mm sub-crestal placement resulted in deeper implant positioning at T2, with no exposure oftreated implant surface and potential preventive effect against subsequent peri-implant pathology

    Dynamical coupled-channel model of meson production reactions in the nucleon resonance region

    A dynamical coupled-channel model is presented for investigating the nucleon resonances in the meson production reactions induced by pions and photons. The model is based on an energy-independent Hamiltonian which is derived from a set of Lagrangians by using a unitary transformation method. By applying the projection operator techniques,we derive a set of coupled-channel equations which satisfy the unitarity conditions within the channel space spanned by the considered two-particle meson-baryon states and the three-particle ππN\pi\pi N state. We present and explain in detail a numerical method based on a spline-function expansion for solving the resulting coupled-channel equations which contain logarithmically divergent one-particle-exchange driving terms resulted from the ππN\pi\pi N unitarity cut. We show that this driving term can generate rapidly varying structure in the reaction amplitudes associated with the unstable particle channels. It also has large effects in determining the two-pion production cross sections. Our results indicate that cautions must be taken to interpret the NN^* parameters extracted from using models which do not include ππN\pi\pi N cut effects.Comment: 73 pages, 20 figure

    Discarding IVF embryos: reporting on global practices

    Purpose: To provide a global scale report on a representative sample of the clinical embryology community depicting the practice of discarding supernumerary IVF embryos. Methods: A web-based questionnaire titled “Anonymous questionnaire on embryo disposal practices” was designed in order to ensure anonymous participation of practicing clinical embryologists around the world. Results: During a data collection period of 8 months, 703 filled-in questionnaires from 65 countries were acquired. According to the data acquired, the majority of practitioners, dispose of embryos by placing them directly in a trash can strictly dedicated for embryo disposal for both fresh and frozen cycles (39% and 36.7% respectively). Moreover, 66.4% of practitioners discard the embryos separately—case by case—at different time points during the day. Over half of embryologists (54%) wait until day 6 to discard the surplus embryos, while 65.5% do not implement a specially allocated incubator space as a designated waiting area prior to disposal. The majority of 63.1% reported that this is a witnessed procedure. The vast majority of embryologists (93%) do not employ different protocols for different groups of patients. Nonetheless, 17.8% reported the request to perform a ceremony for these embryos. Assessing the embryologists’ perspective, 59.5% of participants stated that the embryology practice would benefit from a universally accepted and practiced protocol. Conclusion(s): This study uniquely provides insight into global embryo disposal practices and trends. Results highlight the divergence between reported practices, while indicating the significance on standardization of practice, with embryologists acknowledging the need for a universally accepted protocol implementation

    Retracted publications and their citation in dental literature: A systematic review

    Objectives: The present systematic review aimed to perform an in-depth analysis of the different features of retracted publications in the dental field. Material and methods: This review has been recorded in the PROSPERO database (CRD42017075634). Two independent reviewers performed an electronic search (Pubmed, Retraction Watch) for retracted articles in dental literature up to December 31, 2018. Results: 180 retracted papers were identified, the first published in 2001. Retractions increased by 47% in the last four-year period (2014\u20132018), when compared with 2009\u20132013 (94 and 64 retracted publications, respectively). Author misconduct was the most common reason for retraction (65.0%), followed by honest scientific errors (12.2%) and publisher-related issues (10.6%). The majority of retracted research was conducted in Asia (55.6%), with 49 papers written in India (27.2%). 552 researchers (89%) are listed as authors in only one retracted article, while 10 researchers (1.6%) are present in five or more retracted publications. Retracted articles were cited 530 times after retraction: the great majority of these citations (89.6%) did not consider the existence of the retraction notice and treated data from retracted articles as reliable. Conclusions: Retractions in dental literature have constantly increased in recent years, with the majority of them due to misconduct and fraud. The publication of unreliable research has many negative consequences. Studies derived from such material are designed on potentially incorrect bases, waste funds and resources, and most importantly, increase risk of incorrect treatment for patients. Citation of retracted papers represents a major issue for the scientific community
