    The renal system is one of the major organ systems present in the human body, it is responsible for maintaining electrolyte balance, secreting important hormones, and maintaining homeostasis in the body. Every individual has 2 kidneys which are located behind the peritoneum at the level of L2-L3 from the vertebral column. Broadly kidneys function to filter blood, purify it, and eliminate toxic waste. We propose a diagnostic test that evaluates the renal blood flow rate in the kidneys and assesses their functioning based on their hemodynamics in the given time frame. Here we aim to explore the application of nanoparticles to assess localized blood pressure in the kidney based on the illumination intensity/radioactivity. Connexin40(Cx40) is a transmembrane protein present in juxtaglomerular apparatus, Cx40 gold antibodies prepared can be conjugated with nanoparticles and introduced in renal circulation. Imaging technologies such as fluorescence/computed tomography can be used to detect these nanoparticles. Once injected they can be assessed and information on renal blood flow can be obtained. The intensity generated on screening can be used for the assessment of renal blood pressure. This information will be valuable for the assessment of kidney function

    Functional analysis and structure determination of alkaline protease from Aspergillus flavus

    Proteases are one of the highest value commercial enzymes as they have broad applications in food, pharmaceutical, detergent, and dairy industries and serve as vital tools in determination of structure of proteins and polypeptides. Multiple application of these enzymes stimulated interest to discover them with novel properties and considerable advancement of basic research into these enzymes. A broad understanding of the active site of the enzyme and of the mechanism of its inactivation is essential for delineating its structure-function relationship. Primary structure analysis of alkaline protease showed 42% of its content to be alpha helix making it stable for three dimensional structure modeling. Homology model of alkaline protease has been constructed using the X-ray structure (3F7O) as a template and swiss model as the workspace. The model was validated by ProSA, SAVES, PROCHECK, PROSAII and RMSD. The results showed the final refined model is reliable. It has 53% amino acid sequence identity with the template, 0.24 Å as RMSD and has -7.53 as Z-score, the Ramachandran plot analysis showed that conformations for 83.4 % of amino acid residues are within the most favored regions and only 0.4% in the disallowed regions

    Qualitative Analysis and Antibacterial Activity of Pelargonium graveolenL’Herit

    Medicinal plants are an important source of phytochemicals that offer traditional medicinal treatment of various ailments and one of the plants is Pelargonium Graveolens which was grown in Hyderabad province. The preliminary screening of their aerial leaves showed best results the presence of different phytochemical like alkaloids, flavonoids, glycosides, phenol, sterol and lignin found in Methanolic and Ethyl acetate extract. However chloroform extract revealed the absence of alkaloids and sterols, where as in Water extract flavonoids, phenol, sterol and lignin. The best resulted extracts from preliminary screening test were subjected to Antimicrobial studies like some on gram positive and gram negative bacterial strains which exhibited a significant effect.  The both ethyl acetate  and methanolic extracts were showed the similar zone of inhibition on gram positive bacteria (S.aurea and B.Subtilus) whereas  ethyl acetate  extract positive inhibition on k.pneumonia  when compare to methanolic  extract  and which are more active suppression on gram negative  bacterial (E.coli) in comparison with the standard antibiotic.

    Eco-friendly synthesis, characterization, catalytic, antibacterial, antidiabetic, and antioxidant activities of Embelia robusta seeds extract stabilized AgNPs

    The current research study is to develop an easy and eco-friendly method for the synthesis of AgNPs using aqueous seed extract of E. robusta (Er-AgNPs) and evaluated the extract to know the effects of catalytic, antibacterial, antidiabetic, and antioxidant activity. Er-AgNPs were characterized via several techniques, including UV-vis absorption, PL, XRD, FTIR, and TEM UV-vis study confirmed the formation of Er-AgNPs. Face centered cubic (FCC) crystal structure of biosynthesized Er-AgNPs was governed by the XRD analysis. FTIR study confirmed the presence of OH and NH functional groups of secondary molecules of seed extract capped on the AgNPs surface. The produced Er-AgNPs were dark brown in color with an almost spherical shapes in size ranging from 5 to 15 nm. The presence of Er-AgNPs (1 mL) exhibited considerably enhanced dyes degradation (CY, 95.12% and EY, 97.82% in 18 min), antibiotics degradation (TC, 96.45% and CIP, 98.01% in 21 min), and nitroaromatics reduction (4-NP, 88.12% and 4-NA, 92.45% in 15 min). The Er-AgNPs have shown significant antibacterial activity on multi-drug resistance bacteria. The synthesized Er-AgNPs exhibited strong antioxidant activities for the DPPH assay. Remarkable antidiabetic (α-glucosidase, α-amylase, and HbA1C) activities were noticed for biosynthesized Er-AgNPs. This is the first report on the biosynthesis of AgNPs using seeds extracted from E. robusta

    Comparative Performance Analysis of MANET Routing Protocols in Internet Based Mobile Ad-hoc Networks

    In crucial times, such as natural disasters like Earthquakes, Floods, military attack, rescue and emergency operations, etc., it is not possible to maintain an infrastructure. In these situations, wireless Mobile Ad-Hoc networks can be an alternative to wired networks. In our thesis, due to the importance of MANET (Mobile Ad-hoc Network) applications, we do research on MANET and its subtype IMANET (Internet based Mobile Ad-hoc Network). In MANETs, finding an optimum path among nodes is not a simple issue due to the random mobility of nodes and topology changes frequently. Simple routing algorithms like Shortest Path, Dijksta‟s and Link State fail to find route in such dynamic scenarios. A number of ad-hoc protocols (Proactive, Reactive, Hybrid and Position based) have been developed for MANETs. In this thesis, we have designed an IMANET in OPNET 14.5 and tested the performance of three different routing protocols namely OLSR (Optimum Link State Routing), TORA (Temporarily Ordered Routing Algorithm) and AODV (Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector) in different scenarios by varying the number of nodes and the size of the area. The experimental results demonstrate that among the three protocols, none of the routing protocol can ensure good quality HTTP and voice communication in all our considered scenarios
