    Intervention of Religion-based Education in Depression Syndrome among Married Women Attending Cultural Centers in Babol

    For downloading the full-text of this article please click here.Background and Objective: Today depression is one of the most prevalent psychological disorders and a widespread issue in human life. This study aims to evaluate the effect of teaching Quran and its prominent concepts on depression among married women.Method: The study is experimental including a control group and a pre-test/post-test design. Research population includes all married women between 25 and 45, living in Babol. The randomized sample includes 50 women attending cultural centers divided into experimental and control groups. Married women were trained in ten sessions. The main instrument was a depression questionnaire which had 13 multiple-choice items with a Chronbach’s alpha of 0.87. All ethical issues were observed in the study and the researchers declared no conflict of interests.Results: The effect of Quran therapy on depression syndrome among married women of Babol in the experimental group is statistically significant (p<0/05). In other words, by removing the effect of pretest, there is a meaningful difference between the mean of the two groups in pro-test scores. This shows that Quran therapy has a positive and meaningful effect on depression in married women.Conclusion: Reading Quran, using its divine teachings, and being accustomed to this heavenly book, if accompanied by honest practice, can lower depression and increase mental health of married women.     Study of Emotional Intelligence and Learning Strategies

    AbstractThe present study investigates the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Learning Strategies. The statistical sample of the study involves a random selection of 100 university students from different fields of study. For the purpose of data collection, the researchers administered two questionnaires: Bar-On questionnaire and Learning and Study Strategies Inventory (LASSI). The results show 1. There is a significant relationship between students‟ total emotional intelligence and learning strategies both in females and males. 2. There isn‟t a meaningful difference between students‟ Emotional Intelligence and their fields of study. 3. There isn‟t a meaningful difference between students’ learning strategies and their fields of study. 4. There is a meaningful difference between males and females in the use of learning strategies

    The mediating role of cognitive emotion regulation in the relationship between object relationships and emotional distress tolerance in nursing students of Tehran University

    Introduction: Tolerance of emotional distress is one of the effective components in mental health and the study of factors affecting it, including object relationships and cognitive regulation of emotion is of particular importance. The aim of this study was to investigate the mediating role of cognitive emotion regulation in the relationship between object relationships and tolerance of emotional distress in nursing students of the University of Tehran. Methods: The method of this research is correlational research based on structural equation modeling. The statistical population of this study consisted of all students of the first semester of the academic Faculty of Nursing, University of Tehran in year of 2019. In this study, 280 people were randomly selected to determine the sample according to the number of observed variables and assigning a coefficient of 20 to each variable and taking into account the possibility of incomplete questionnaires. Data collection tools included Object Relationships Scale, Cognitive Emotion Regulation Scale, and Emotional Distress Tolerance Scale. Data analysis tools were SPSS18 and AMOS-23. Results: The results showed that between the relationship between object and emotional distress tolerance (p <0.01, r =-0.36) and between maladaptive strategies of cognitive emotion regulation and emotional distress tolerance (p <0.01, r -0.39) There is also a significant relationship between adaptive strategies of cognitive emotion regulation and tolerance of emotional distress (p<0.01, r=0.36). The findings also confirmed the mediating role of emotional distress tolerance (p<0.01, B=0.60) in the relationship between object relationships and emotional distress tolerance. Conclusion: The results of the present study confirmed the need to pay attention to object relationships and cognitive emotion regulation in predicting emotional distress tolerance in students. Therefore, teaching and strengthening object relationships and cognitive emotion regulation can be considered as an effective way to reduce students' emotional distress

    سابقه و هدف: امروزه افسردگی یکی از شایع‌ترین اختلالات روانی و معضل عمومی زندگی بشر است. پژوهش حاضر با هدف بررسی تأثیر آموزش قرآن و مفاهیم والای آن بر افسردگی زنان متأهل انجام یافته است. روش کار: این پژوهش آزمایشی از نوع پیش‌آزمون-پس‌آزمون با گروه کنترل است. جامعه‌ی آماری پژوهش شامل كلیه‌ی زنان متأهل 25-45 سال ساكن شهر بابل بود. نمونه‌ی پژوهش 50 نفر از زنان مراجعه‌کننده به مراکز فرهنگی بودند که به صورت تصادفی انتخاب؛ و در دو گروه آزمایش و شاهد جایگزین شدند. زنان متأهل به مدت 10 جلسه تحت آموزش قرار گرفتند. ابزار پژوهش شامل پرسش‌نامه‌ی افسردگی بک با 13 سؤال چهار گزینه‌یی بود که ضریب پایایی آن با روش آلفای کرونباخ 87/0 محاسبه شد. در این پژوهش همه‌ی مسائل اخلاقی رعایت شده است و مؤلفان مقاله هیچ‌گونه تضاد منافعی گزارش نکرده‌اند. یافته‌ها: تأثیر آموزش مداخله‌ی مبتنی بر مذهب در گروه آزمایش در نشانگان افسردگی زنان متأهل مراجعه‌کننده به مراکز فرهنگی شهرستان بابل از نظر آماری در سطح 05/0&gt;P معنادار بود. به عبارت دیگر، با خارج کردن تأثیر پیش‌آزمون، اختلاف معناداری بین میانگین نمره‌های دو گروه در پس‌آزمون افسردگی وجود داشت. بنابراین، آموزش مداخله‌ی مبتنی بر مذهب بر نشانگان افسردگی زنان متأهل مراجعه‌کننده به مراکز فرهنگی شهرستان بابل تأثیر مثبت و معناداری داشت. نتیجه‌گیری: استفاده از قرآن و آموزه‌های آن و انس و ملازمت با این کتاب آسمانی در سایه‌ی عمل به آیات الهی موجب کاهش افسردگی و سلامت روان زنان متأهل می‌شود. قرآن‌شناسي، تقيّد به قرآن‌درماني و توجه به راهبردها و راهکارهاي درمانگر قرآن در نهاد خانه، خانواده و جامعه بايد از طرف جامعه‌ی اسلامي به‌طور جدي باور شود. &nbsp; استناد مقاله به این صورت است: Yadollahpour MH, Mahdavifar H, Hasanzadeh R. Journal of Pizhūhish dar dīn va salāmat. 2019;5(1):64-75. https://doi.org/10.22037/jrrh.v5i1.18568خلفية البحث وأهدافه: يعتبر الإكتئاب واحدا من الاضطرابات النفسية الأكثر شيوعا ومن المشاكل السائدة في الحياة البشرية. لقد اجري هذا البحث بغرض دراسة تأثير تعليم القرآن الكريم ومفاهيمه السامية على الإكتئاب لدى المتزوجات. منهجية البحث: هذه الدراسة التجريبية هي من نوع الاختبار القبلي والاختبار البعدي مع المجموعة الضابطة. وقد اشتمل المجتمع الاحصائي جميع المتزوجات اللاتي تتراوح اعمارهن بين 25 الى 45 سنة واللاتي يسكنّ في مدينة بابل. تكونت عينة البحث من 50 امرأة تمت مراجعتها الى المراكز الثقافية وتم اختيارهن عشوائياً ثم ادراجهن في مجموعتي التجريبية والضابطة. تلقت النساء المتزوجات 10 محاضرات تعليمية. اشتملت اداة البحث استبانة "بك" للإكتئاب مع 13 سؤال من أربعة خيارات، وتم حساب معامل ثبات كرونباخ آلفا وكانت النتيجة 87/0. تمت مراعاة جميع الموارد الأخلاقية في هذا البحث؛ واضافة الى هذا فإن مؤلفي المقالةلم يشيروا الى أي تضارب في المصالح. الكشوفات: كان أثر التعليم التدخلي القائم على اساس المفاهيم الدينية في المجموعة التجريبية في متلازمة الاكتئاب لدى النساء المتزوجات من الجانب الاحصائي في مستوى 05/0&gt;P. بعبارة اخرى لو تمت ازالة تأثير الاختبار القبلي، كان هناك فرق دال احصائيا بين متوسط درجات المجموعتين في الاختبار البعدي للإكتئاب. اذاً إن التعليم التداخلي القائم على اساس الدين له تاثير ايجابي ودال احصائياً على متلازمة الإكتئاب عند النساء المتزوجات التي تمت مراجعتهن الى المراكز الثقافية في مدينة بابل. الاستنتاج: إن استخدام القرآن الكريم وتعاليمه والأنس به والتطبيق العملي لأياته السماوية سوف يؤدي الى تقليل الاكتئاب والصحة العقلية للمرأة المتزوجة. ينبغي على المجتمع الإسلامي أن يؤمن بالعلوم القرآنية والعلاج القرآني والاهتمام باستراتيجيات والحلول المعالجة في القرآن الكريم وأن تؤخذ هذه التعاليم بمحمل الجد في المنزل والأسرة والمجتمع. &nbsp; يتم استناد المقالة على الترتيب التالي: Yadollahpour MH, Mahdavifar H, Hasanzadeh R.     Modeling structural relationships of happiness and psychological well-being with self-efficacy intermediary among students of Farhangian University

    Background and Objective: Psychological well-being refers to the experienced quality of life and reflects desired psychological performance and experience and identifying the factors that enhance the sense of well-being can help to promote it. The objective of this study was to develop a structural model for the relationship between happiness based on psychological well-being with intermediary role of self-efficacy among students at Farhangian University. Materials and Methods: This study was correlational using structural relations modeling Method. The statistical population of the study included all undergraduate students at Farhangian University of Golestan Province who were studying in 2017-2018 academic year. As many as 280 participants were selected using one-stage cluster sampling. To collect data, questionnaires of happiness, psychological well-being and self-efficacy were used. For analysis of the research data, Pearson correlation coefficient and structural equation modeling were employed using SPSS-22 and AMOS-22 software. Results: The mean (SD) age of male students was 26.4 (7.8) and female students 25.8 (6.5). With increasing happiness score with mean (SD) 52.6 (7.3), psychological well-being score increased with mean (SD) 246.8 (27.3), P<0.05. With increasing happiness score, self-efficacy score increased with mean (SD) 30.1 (9.9), P<0.05. In addition, with increasing self-efficacy score, psychological well-being score increased, P<0.05. Self-efficacy played a mediating role in the relationship between psychological well-being and happiness, and psychological well-being score increased with the direct effect of happiness on self-efficacy. Conclusion: The study showed that increasing happiness improved psychological well-being and self-efficacy. Self-efficacy also increased psychological well-being. In addition, self-efficacy had a mediator role in the relationship between psychological well-being and happiness and psychological well-being score increased with the direct effect of happiness on self-efficacy

    The application of modern media with an emphasis on satellite: media use and gratification approach

    Satellite channels play an important role on building a connection among people with the same nationality who live in different parts of the world. The primary question is on how to serve various people with appropriate programs. In this paper, we present an empirical study among 310 audiences of satellite channels. The results show that the demographic characteristics of the audiences including age, gender, and education significantly influence the level of gratification with the satellite channels. From the cognitive perspective, they consider the satellite channels as tools for increasing their knowledge and from an emotional perspective; they consider these channels as enjoyable, entertaining and interesting

    The Effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy on Achievement Motivation and Quality of Life among Female High School Students in Sari

    Background and Objective: Acceptance and commitment therapy is among the ways to increase student's achievement motivation and quality of life. Therefore, the aim of the present study is to determine the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy on the achievement motivation and quality of life among female high school students in Sari in northern Iran. Materials and Methods: The design of this study was semi-experimental with a pre-test, followed by a test with a control group. Participants included female high school students in Sari who were randomly assigned to two experimental and control groups. Data were collected via the Achievement Motivation and Quality of Life Scale at school. The analysis of covariance was used for data analysis by using SPSS-21 software. Results: Responses of 30 female high school in the experimental group and 30 in the control group were analyzed. The mean (SD) age of the experimental group was 16.1 (2.4) and 16.6 (3.1) respectively. Acceptance and commitment therapy increased the achievement motivation among the experimental group from 50.6 (7.6) to 73.6 (6.8), P<0.001. In addition, the quality of life of participants among the experimental group was improved from 62.2 (7.6) to 89.1(7.6), P<0.001. On the other hand, the achievement motivation and quality of life of the control group did not show a significant difference in pre-test and post-test. Conclusion: Acceptance and commitment therapy increased achievement motivation and quality of life at school among high school student
