Hybrid Association Rule Mining using AC Tree

    Get PDF
In recent years, discovery of association rules among item sets in large database became popular. It gains its attention on research areas. Several association rule mining algorithms were developed for mining frequent item set. In this papers, a new hybrid algorithm for mining multilevel association rules called AC Tree i.e., AprioriCOFI tree was developed. This algorithm helps in mining association rules at multiple concept levels. The proposed algorithm works faster compared to traditional association rule mining algorithm and it is efficient in mining rules from large text documents. AbstractThe results of an experimental investigation on the mechanical properties of molybdenum disulphide (MOS2, also called molydisulphide) powders reinforced in aluminium alloy (Al-2024) composite samples are reported in this paper. MOS2 powders of approximately 40μm particle size were reinforced in an aluminium alloy matrix to produce composite samples of ratios, 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 weight % through stir casting technique. The fabricated composite specimens were subjected to a series of tests to evaluate the mechanical properties such as hardness and tensile strength. The same are compared with the base alloy. SEM and XRD analysis was carried out to analyze the microstructure and the dispersion of the reinforced particles in the alloy matrix. It was fairly observed from the results that, the hardness and tensile strength increased with the increase in wt. % of reinforcement particles in the matrix up to 4% addition of reinforcement and the hardness and tensile strength decreased for 5% addition of reinforcement in the matrix. The SEM and XRD results revealed the homogeneous dispersion of MOS2 particles in the matrix

new host plants of few parasitic angiosperms in karnataka

    Get PDF
Parasitic flowering plants are a small group of dicotyledons yet among them there exists a great wealth of structural diversity that continues to fascinate botanists. They cause severe damage to important fruit trees, timber yielding, economic and aesthetic value plants. A total of 106 species belonging to 32 families of dicotyledons are recognized as hosts parasitized by parasitic angiosperms. The range of hosts species recorded were vary from 3-42 per parasitic plants. The highest number of hosts were recorded for Dendrophthoefalcata is 42 species. The present paper enlists the binomials and families of host plants parasitized by particular species of parasitic plants

Darcy-Brinkman free convection about a wedge and a cone subjected to a mixed thermal boundary condition

    Get PDF
The Darcy-Brinkman free convection near a wedge and a cone in a porous medium with high porosity has been considered. The surfaces are subjected to a mixed thermal boundary condition characterized by a parameter m; m=0, 1, ∞ correspond to the cases of prescribed temperature, prescribed heat flux and prescribed heat transfer coefficient respectively. It is shown that the solutions for different m are dependent and a transformation group has been found, through which one can get solution for any m provided solution for a particular value of m is known. The effects of Darcy number on skin friction and rate of heat transfer are analyzed

Unsteady Flow Between Two Oscillating Plates

    Get PDF
The flow of an incompressible viscous fluid between two infinite harmonically oscillating plates is considered, when an oscillatory body force (having the same frequency as that of the plates) is applied in the direction of motion problem, detailed analytical expressions for the velocity field of the fluid, volume flow rate and stress at the plates have been obtained. It is found that the fluid velocity oscillates in time with the same frequency as that of the plates or the body force, but with a phase difference

Comparative Analysis of Grid side Converters for Leakage Current Reduction

    Get PDF
Design of grid side converters comprises of galvanic isolation between the grid and DC supply .Now a days, for low power applications are effecting more because of high leakage current due to parasitic effect between grid and DC supply, in order to limit the ground leakage current (which deteriorates the power quality and generates EMI), new converter topologies have been proposed. This paper proposes the comparative analysis of H5 and H6 topologies in the aspects of leakage current reduction, parasitic capacitance effect and voltage balancing across the dc mains. The performances of the topologies are also analyzed by implementing modulation techniques. Simulated and tabulated results of H5 and H6 topologies conclude the performance evaluation

Integrating Numerical Simulation and Experimental Validation to Analyze Temperature Distribution in Friction Stir Welding of Dissimilar Aluminum Alloy

    Get PDF
In this paper, a 3D finite element model is developed by COMSOL Multiphysics software to study the temperature distribution during the friction stir welding process of dissimilar aluminum alloys AA6351-T6 and AA2024-T351. Dissimilarity comes from the alloying elements with different melting point and latent heat requirements. The input process parameters included different tool rotational speeds (800, 1000 and 1200 rev/min), different welding speeds (0.35, 0.7 and 1.2 mm/s) while keeping the axial load of 3kN constant. High speed steel (HSS) is considered as the tool material and AA6351-T6 and AA2024-T351 are considered to be the workpiece materials. The increase of maximum temperature observed with the increase of the tool rotational speed. Numerical simulations are found to be useful to gain process understanding and conduct process planning as well as tool design
