Global Environmental Microelectromechanical Systems Sensors: Advanced Weather Observation System
The technological developments in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) have resulted in conceptualisation of a next generation observation system called global environmental MEMS sensors (GEMS). GEMS consists of a large number of airborne probes that will remain suspended in the atmosphere for long durations and take in situ measurements of pressure, temperature, humidity, wind direction and velocity as these are carried by air currents. It is envisaged that GEMS network would provide a systematic understanding of the earths atmosphere and would improve weather forecast accuracy, well beyond the current capability. In addition to gathering meteorological data, probes could be used for environmental monitoring of particulate emissions, organic and inorganic pollutants, ozone, carbon dioxide, and chemical, biological, or nuclear contaminants. The GEMS concept requires integration of communication engineering and instrumentation with other evolving technologies. This review describes in detail the new observation system designed for environmental monitoring and its potential application in predicting cyclones and monsoon, and measurement of urban air pollution in India. ICT Based Agricultural Knowledge Transfer of Women Farmers: A Case of Gender Responsiveness from a Developing Country Perspective
Women are increasingly becoming an integral part of the rural economy. Feminization and empowerment in agriculture is taking place while outmigration of males in the rural Bangladesh is visible due to higher off farm income. The objective of this study is to determine the current state of the ICT-based agricultural knowledge transfer of female farmers in Bangladesh involved in agricultural operations. Data were collected through survey method using structured questionnaire from 140 female farmers involved in public ICT service centers of Bangladesh. The questionnaire was administrated face-to-face and collected data were analysed with SPSS version 23.0. The result from the data showed that the variables such as assets, inputs, land, education, extension and financial services, and technology affect farmers’ production and farm income. The gaps like gender parity and small farm holding were found in the study. The research suggests that effective agricultural information dissemination services through ICT tools in farming are essential. Special emphasis should be given to address gender disparity and resolve farm holding problems for ensuring women’s participation in agriculture
Dashanga Guggulu a polyherbal formulation for Obesity - A Review
In Ayurvedic pharmaceutics Guggulu Kalpa is very known and unique preparation. Chief component of this preparation is Guggulu (an exudate Commiphera mukul). It is one of the most important drug used since Vedic period. In Ayurveda practice Guggulu Kalpa are very popular formulation e.g. Yograjguggulu, Trayodashangguggulu, Lakshadiguggulu etc. In this Kalpas, Dashanga Guggulu is also an important preparation. It is commonly used in Medoroga, Kaphajrogas and Amavata. Present review explains the pharmacological potential of Dashang Guggulu in obesity along with the other pharmacological activities of the parts used of each ingredient in the formulation. The Anxiety of COVID-19 Outbreak and its Impact on Students’ Academic Activity: a Case Study of NIT Durgapur, India
Central Library National Institute of Technology (NIT) Durgapur, West Bengal, India conducted study after the announcement of nationwide lockdown in India to know the students’ awareness about COVID-19, anxiety caused, if any, due to the Pandemic and its impact over their academic activities. Central Library also tries to find out the user satisfaction and expectations during the lockdown. Authors opted Google form as a questionnaire which contains the questions of general perception and distributed via Institute email Ids. Responses were analysed using Microsoft Excel. Two hundred fifty research scholars and postgraduate students were selected randomly for the study and 135 (54%) responses received. 107 (77%) were male and 31 (23%) were female respondents. It was found that 133 (99%) of students were aware of the Coronavirus and its impact. 60 (44%) students have no impact over their normal routine at home whereas 22(16%) were afraid of the situation, 14 (10%) were worrying constantly. 47 (35%) were experiencing anxiety and stress. 89 (66%) students believed their lifestyle is changed, the majority of the students 46 (34%) were spending 2-4 hours in the study even more. 109 (81%) students were accessing e-resources through id/passwords and 96 (71%) students agreed that the library plays an inevitable role in their study.With the commencement of online teaching learning Central Library started extending its services beyond the campus and initiated to collect id/passwords so that e-resources can be made accessible off-campus. Simultaneously library started setting up remote access tool to integrate the subscribed e-resources at a single platform

Epidemiological Patterns and Spatial Distribution of COVID-19 Cases in DKI Jakarta (March–December 2020)
Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-Cov-2) is the causative agent of COVID-19 that began in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. In Indonesia, the first two cases were reported on March 2, 2020; the first major response to block transmission of the virus was the declaration of large-scale social restrictions (LSSR) or Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB). This study aimed to identify the epidemiology patterns and spatial distribution of the COVID-19 pandemic in five municipalities of DKI Jakarta. The research design comprised an ecological and case-series study uncovering the epidemiological trends and distribution of COVID-19 in DKI Jakarta based on secondary surveillance data. The results from the data analyzed between March-December 2020 showed an increasing epidemiological trend due to COVID-19, and Central Jakarta was the municipality most affected due to pandemic during this period. The implementation of the first PSBB in DKI Jakarta reduced the average number of daily cases during the first month, although the decrease was not statistically significant. There was a spatial autocorrelation of COVID-19 with the neighboring urban villages. There were fifteen COVID-19 hotspots all over DKI Jakarta based on the data analyzed in December 2020

There are so many databases in the world for retrieval of information from e-resources. This research paper analyses ERIC, CORE, PDF Drive and Project Gutenberg for retrieval of e-resources. Here everything was analyzed on the basis of some observation and collected data were tabulated for analysis. This paper includes brief description about ERIC, CORE, PDF Drive and Project Gutenberg and screenshots of normal search, advanced search and use of fuzzy logic. This research reflects that none of the databases under study achieved full score found that ERIC ranked the first position
Synthesis and Structural Properties of Nanocrystalline (Pb1-xBix)S Thin Films
Nanocrystalline (Pb1-xBix)S thin films were successfully deposited on suitably cleaned glass substrate at constant room temperature, using the chemical bath deposition technique. After deposition the films were also annealed at 4000C for 1 hour in air. The crystal structures of the films were determined by X-ray diffraction studies. The films are adherent to the substrate and well crystallized according to cubic structure with the preferential orientation (200). The crystallite size of the pure PbS thin films at optimized deposition time 30 min was found to be 40.4 nm, which increased with Bi content in pure nanocrystalline PbS thin films. The surface roughness of the films was measured by AFM studies. Experiments showed that the growth parameters, doping and annealing influenced the crystal structure of the films. Key word: A.
