Untersuchungen zu optischen Mehrkomponentenmesssystemen
The achievable parameters of manufacturing processes using high precision
machine tools and coordinate measuring machines directly depend on the
achieved positioning accuracy and respectively the uncertainty of
measurement. To ensure stable parameters frequent inspections of the
devices are necessary. Furthermore in precision applications the
systemat-ic deviations have to be considered in the machine control, which
makes an exact knowledge of all systematic machine deviations inevitable.
The spatial positioning in machine tools and coordinate measuring machines
is typically real-ized by three stacked linear stages, which are aligned
with the axes of the coordinate sys-tem. The total deviation of the device
results from the deviations of the stages and their po-sition to each
other. To characterize each linear stage three translational (linear
position, horizontal and vertical straightness) and three rotational
(pitch, yaw and roll angle) devia-tions have to be measured. State of the
art is the sequential measurement of the single de-viations preferably by
optical methods. The present thesis deals with investigations on optical
measurement systems for the simul-taneous acquisition of all deviations of
a linear stage in an aligned measurement setup. The main goals are to
reduce the measurement time for an inspection of a precision machine tool
or coordinate measuring machine and to increase the measurement accuracy.
The measurement range of the system has to accord to the increasing working
range of precision devices. The approaches to solving this can be structured
in two main groups: interferometric meth-ods and methods based on
optoelectronic position sensors. The possibilities to acquire all
rotational and translational deviations of a linear stage with
interferometers are explored; the achievable metrological parameters and
sources of measurement uncertainty are dis-cussed. In the same way methods
to measure horizontal and vertical straightness and roll with
optoelectronic position sensors are treated.Based on the findings of the
investigations on various methods of measurement a system for the
simultaneous acquisition of all six translational and rotational deviations
in an aligned measurement setup was developed. Herein the measurement of
linear position, pitch and yaw is done by an interferometer while the two
straightness components and the roll angle are measured with optoelectronic
position sensors. The system can be used with an active or a passive,
wireless target. In addition to that it is possible to measure all
components inter-ferometrically in four sequential runs. A scheme for data
processing in simultaneous meas-urements is given, that allows the
correction of certain systematic measurement deviations.
Dynamic alignment and calibration of linear axes
Linear positioning axes are used as basic assemblies in a wide range of applications in manufacturing, and measurement technology, such as in machine tools and coordinate measuring machines.
If linear axes are installed in machines and devices, the accuracy of the complete system is limited by the rotational and translatory deviations of the individual axes from the ideal linear path of motion. The highly accurate, dynamic detection of the guiding properties during mounting and alignment of these system components is consequently the key to achieving minimal positioning deviations of the assembled system.
The presented devices for the alignment and calibration of linear axes are based on laser interferometric measuring methods. They enable highly accurate simultaneous measurements of linear position, pitch and yaw angles as well as a straightness component in one measurement run
A self-calibrating multicomponent force/torque measuring system
A multi-component self-calibrating force and torque sensor is presented. In this system, the principle of a Kibble balance is adapted for the traceable force and torque measurement in three orthogonal directions. The system has two operating modes: the velocity mode and the force/torque sensing mode. In the velocity mode, the calibration of the sensor is performed, while in the force/torque sensing mode, forces and torques are measured by using the principle of the electromagnetic force compensation. Details about the system are provided, with the main components of the sensor and a description of the operational procedure. A prototype of the system is currently being implemented for measuring forces and torques in a range of ±2 N and ±0,1 Nm respectively. A maximal relative expanded measurement uncertainty (k=2) of 10·10-5 is expected for the force and torque measurements
