    HUBUNGAN PENGGUNAAN ANTIBIOTIK IBU PADA TRIMESTER II DAN III KEHAMILAN DENGAN ANGKA KEJADIAN ALERGI PADA BAYI 0-3 BULAN

    Background: There was a condition where a woman during pregnancy, intra partum, and post partum, get infection and took antibiotic that can get into the fetus. Maternal use of antibiotics during pregnancy trimester II and III was reported may affected allergies in offspring, so we need more research. This study is aimed to investigate the association maternal use of antibiotics in the second and third trimester of pregnancy with incidence of allergy in infants 0-3 months and to determine the incidence of allergic infants 0-3 months with a history maternal use of antibiotic in the second and third trimester of pregnancy. Methods: Observational analytic study with a prospective cohort study design. The number of subjects who entered the inclusion and exclusion criteria were 92 infants aged 0-3 months at Banyumanik District Health Center, Dr. Kariadi Hospital, and Familia Clinic Semarang. Subjects with a history maternal use of antibiotic in the second and third trimester of pregnancy as many as 46 subject and the number of 46 subjects without a history of maternal use antibiotic. Data obtained from the questionnaires which carried out by subject’s parents. We also asked the history maternal use of antibiotics during pregnancy. Result: Chi square test maternal use of antibiotic during pregnancy has p value 0.301 (not significant). However, in the logistic regression analysis obtained infant nutrition variables has p value 0.009 (significant). Conclusion: There was no significant association between maternal use of antibiotics in the second and third trimester of pregnancy with incidence of allergy in infants 0-3 months. The incidence of allergic infants 0-3 months with maternal use of antibiotics in the second and third trimester of pregnancy amounted to 67.4 %. Keywords: allergy, antibiotic during pregnanc
