    Bayesian Tobit quantile regression using-prior distribution with ridge parameter

    A Bayesian approach is proposed for coefficient estimation in the Tobit quantile regression model. The proposed approach is based on placing a g-prior distribution depends on the quantile level on the regression coefficients. The prior is generalized by introducing a ridge parameter to address important challenges that may arise with censored data, such as multicollinearity and overfitting problems. Then, a stochastic search variable selection approach is proposed for Tobit quantile regression model based on g-prior. An expression for the hyperparameter g is proposed to calibrate the modified g-prior with a ridge parameter to the corresponding g-prior. Some possible extensions of the proposed approach are discussed, including the continuous and binary responses in quantile regression. The methods are illustrated using several simulation studies and a microarray study. The simulation studies and the microarray study indicate that the proposed approach performs well

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku sosial dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran group investigation dan model pembelajaran think pair share pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Soromandi Kab. Bima, sekaligus untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan perilkaku sosial dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran group investigation dan think pair share siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Soromandi Kab. Bima. Penentuan sampel purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket berupa skala likert dan lembar observasi sebagai pendukung penelitian. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan inferensial yaitu uji t. Hasil penelitian analisis deskriptif diperoleh gambaran perilaku sosial siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran group investigation masuk kategori tinggi dengan rata-rata 84,5, dan gambaran perilaku sosial siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran think pair share juga masuk dalam kategori tinggi dengan rata-rata 82,8. Sedangkan hasil inferensial yaitu thitunh ˃ ttabel sehingga Terdapat perbedaan perilaku sosial dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran group investigation dan model pembelajaran think pair and share siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Soromand

    E-portfolio MSC indicator for a virtual learning environment

    This study was conducted to identify indicators for the use of e-portfolio for a virtual learning environment in the Malaysian Skills Certification (MSC) system. The approach is through a modified Delphi technique run in three stages. The first stage is analysis of past research material and documents as guidelines in the development of questionnaire items. In the second and third stages, the developed questionnaire is distributed to experts for approval in determining e-portfolio indicators for implementation of the Malaysian Skills Certification system. The sample selected consists of 11 experts in the field of skills certification in Malaysia. Feedback from the experts was analysed using descriptive statistics (mean, median and interquartile range). The findings identify four elements (Assessment, Personal Space, Exhibition and Learning Management) and 32 indicators through a literature review. In conclusion, there are 22 indicators were identified as necessary for the implementation of the use of the e-portfolio in the Malaysian Skills Certification system

    Sejak bulan Oktober tahun 2011, di Kabupaten Buru, Maluku ada kegiatan penambangan emas di beberapa tempat yang mengakibatkan peningkatan mobilitas & migrasi penduduk yang bermakna. Sehingga berdampak pada Perubahan tatanan sosial, ekonomi dan kesehatan lingkungan di masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana kekhawatiran jajaran kesehatan tentang dampak penambangan emas terhadap kesehatan masyarakat dan lingkungan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara terbuka dan diskusi kelompok (FGD) untuk menggali pendapat informan berkenaan dengan dampaknya pada kesehatan masyarakat dan lingkungan. Informan terdiri dari unsur Dinas Kesehatan, Kepala Puskesmas, Kader Posyandu dan unsur pemerintah daerah (Pemda). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambangan emas yang berjalan, berdampak negatif terhadap kesehatan masyarakat. Dampak negatif tersebut ditandai dengan munculnya penyakit yang tadinya belum pernah dilaporkan seperti demam berdarah dengue (DBD), kulit dan HIV /AIDS. Meningkatnya jumlah kasus penyakit tertentu, antara lain penderita malaria, diare dan infeksi saluran pernafasan akut (ISPA). Sebagian besar informan mengkhawatirkan menurunnya status kesehatan masyarakat kini dan mendatang karena merajalelanya penyakit menular dan pencemaran dari mercury (Hg) dan cyanida, jika tidak ada intervensi pemerintah yang baik

    The objective of this research was to figure out the physical and chemical characteristic of antioxidant noodle and sago starch with peels extract of red dragon fruit. The reseach design was used Completely Randomized Design with six treatment and triplicate in order to obtain 18 units of trials. The treatment that have been tried namely sago paste that mixed into sago starch that consist of six levels : 100 g; 110 g; 120 g; 130; 140 g dan 150 g. The observation variable that to done including water content, water holding capacity (WHC) and oil holding capacity (OHC), cooking loss and antioxidant content. The data were analysed with analysis of variance and continued with further test of honestly significance difference (HSD) 5%. The result of research shown that the water content tend to increase with the increased of sago starch. Cooking loss tend to increase with increased amount sago starch (110 to 150 g). The antioxidant properties of the noodles are best obtained in the treatment of sago starch 100 g

    Brief accounts of the recent development in the international negotiations of the climatic treaty as well as the stand and efforts on climate change issue done at the federal and state level with regard to the forestry sector are given. Ineligibility of funding for forestry carbon projects under the current rules of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) is seen as a major constraint for the forestry sector to play an influential role in combating climate change. Non-CDM funding may provide a short-term solution to the already constricted financial situations in the forestry sector. Capacity building of the Sabah Forestry Department is seen as a viable opportunity to be taken up by this seminar
