    The low critical thinking skills of students in understanding social studies subjects. Less innovative learning models and media used by teachers, so that students find it difficult to understand the material. This study aims to determine critical thinking skills at the elementary school level using the SAVI learning model assisted by video animation for class IV MIN 2 Madiun City. The research method used is Quasi Experimental with the research design used in the form of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample in the study was class IV D as the experimental class which consisted of 30 students and class IV E as the student control class. The data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on the results of the t test where the yield Sig.(2. taileld) < 0.005 (0.002 < 0.005). Thus it can meet the criteria for testing tcount <ttable at a significant level of 5%. In conclusion, there is an influence of the SAVI learning model assisted by video animation on the critical thinking skills of social studies class IV MIN 2 Madiun City
