    We studied rainbow trout eggs requirements to macro elements Ca, Mg, Na and K at different stages of incubation period. The research was carried out at Namroud rainbow trout hatchery center in winter 2005. Two incubators in equal conditions were selected. The first was stocked with approximately 60000 eggs and the second had no eggs. A total of 100 fertilized eggs were sampled and assessed for the elements before introduction of the eggs to the incubator. Weekly samples were taken from the eggs and water of the first and second incubator. The sampled eggs were digested by Tripathi method and concentration of the elements in eggs extract was measured by ICP apparatus. In addition, variation of these elements between input and discharge water of both incubators was investigated

    The aims of the present study were to examine bioaccumulation of heavy metals copper, zinc, iron and manganese in rainbow trout eggs at different stages of incubation period and to compare the results with those of the EPA standards. The research was carried out at Firoozkooh Namroud Rainbow Trout Hatchery Center. For this purpose, two incubators with the same condition as experimental units were selected, one of them was the experimental incubator with approximately 60000 eggs and the other one had no eggs as the control. Sampling of eggs and water during incubation period was conducted weekly. The results showed significant differences (P<0.05) in the control incubator. This indicates that eggs have absorbed these elements from incubation water and then showed increasing trend for Zn and Fe elements concentration in dry weight egg extract during incubation stages but increasing trend in Mn and Cu elements went on until the third stage. The results indicate that threshold concentrations for Mn and Cu in egg cause egg resistance against more absorption of these elements. Also, the results showed that at all sampling stages, concentration of the studied elements was lower than EPA standards for animal textures

    Optimal conditions for tissue growth and branch induction of Gracilariopsis persica

    The species Gracilariopsis persica was first described by Bellorin et al. (2008). G. persica grows from late September to July and shows high growth rate from January to May in the Persian Gulf. Tissue growth and branch induction of red seaweed, Gracilariopsis persica from the Persian Gulf investigated under various culture levels of temperature, light intensity, photoperiod, salinity, initial length, propagule density and chemical preservatives. Optimal size of propagules used as seed was 2 cm and faster growth of tissue and branch induction obtained at lower density. The apical part of the G. persica showed as the starting point of growth. The G. persica showed optimal growth in PES medium at 24°C, 60μmol m-2 s-1 light intensity, 12L: 12D and salinity of 39‰. But maximum branch production occurred under condition of 24°C, 20 μmol m-2 s-1 light intensity, photoperiod of 16L: 8D and salinity 39‰. Addition of chemical preservatives of p-hydroxybenzoic acid and potassium sorbate in culture medium showed marginal suppression on tissue growth and branch induction, that suitable for preparation of semi-axenic culture condition

    Acceleration and Substructure Constraints in a Quasar Outflow

    We present observations of probable line-of-sight acceleration of a broad absorption trough of C IV in the quasar SDSS J024221.87+004912.6. We also discuss how the velocity overlap of two other outflowing systems in the same object constrains the properties of the outflows. The Si IV doublet in each system has one unblended transition and one transition which overlaps with absorption from the other system. The residual flux in the overlapping trough is well fit by the product of the residual fluxes in the unblended troughs. For these optically thick systems to yield such a result, at least one of them must consist of individual subunits rather than being a single structure with velocity-dependent coverage of the source. If these subunits are identical, opaque, spherical clouds, we estimate the cloud radius to be r = 3.9 10^15 cm. If they are identical, opaque, linear filaments, we estimate their width to be w = 6.5 10^14 cm. These subunits are observed to cover the Mg II broad emission line region of the quasar, at which distance from the black hole the above filament width is equal to the predicted scale height of the outer atmosphere of a thin accretion disk. Insofar as that scale height is a natural size scale for structures originating in an accretion disk, these observations are evidence that the accretion disk can be a source of quasar absorption systems.     Chromatin-contact atlas reveals disorder-mediated protein interactions and moonlighting chromatin-associated RBPs

    RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) play diverse roles in regulating co-transcriptional RNA-processing and chromatin functions, but our knowledge of the repertoire of chromatin-associated RBPs (caRBPs) and their interactions with chromatin remains limited. Here, we developed SPACE (Silica Particle Assisted Chromatin Enrichment) to isolate global and regional chromatin components with high specificity and sensitivity, and SPACEmap to identify the chromatin-contact regions in proteins. Applied to mouse embryonic stem cells, SPACE identified 1459 chromatin-associated proteins, ∼48% of which are annotated as RBPs, indicating their dual roles in chromatin and RNA-binding. Additionally, SPACEmap stringently verified chromatin-binding of 403 RBPs and identified their chromatin-contact regions. Notably, SPACEmap showed that about 40% of the caRBPs bind chromatin by intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs). Studying SPACE and total proteome dynamics from mES cells grown in 2iL and serum medium indicates significant correlation (R = 0.62). One of the most dynamic caRBPs is Dazl, which we find co-localized with PRC2 at transcription start sites of genes that are distinct from Dazl mRNA binding. Dazl and other PRC2-colocalised caRBPs are rich in intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs), which could contribute to the formation and regulation of phase-separated PRC condensates. Together, our approach provides an unprecedented insight into IDR-mediated interactions and caRBPs with moonlighting functions in native chromatin

    Spontaneous pneumothorax and pneumomediastinum as a rare complication of COVID-19 pneumonia: Report of 6 cases

    Spontaneous pneumothorax (SPT) and pneumomediastinum (SPM) have been reported as uncommon complications of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pneumonia. The exact incidence and risk factors are still unrecognized. We report 6 nonventilated, COVID-19 pneumonia cases with SPT and SPM and their outcomes. The major risk factors for development of SPT and SPM in our patients were male gender, advance age, and pre-existing lung disease. These complications may occur in the absence of mechanical ventilation and associated with increasing morbidity (chest tube insertion, sepsis, hospital admission) and mortality. SPT and SPM should be considered as a potential predictive factor for adverse outcome and probable cause of unexplained deterioration of clinical condition in COVID-19 pneumonia. © 2021 The Author

    Entanglement Transfer via XXZ Heisenberg chain with DM Interaction

    The role of spin-orbit interaction, arises from the Dzyaloshinski-Moriya anisotropic antisymmetric interaction, on the entanglement transfer via an antiferromagnetic XXZ Heisenberg chain is investigated. From symmetrical point of view, the XXZ Hamiltonian with Dzyaloshinski-Moriya interaction can be replaced by a modified XXZ Hamiltonian which is defined by a new exchange coupling constant and rotated Pauli operators. The modified coupling constant and the angle of rotations are depend on the strength of Dzyaloshinski-Moriya interaction. In this paper we study the dynamical behavior of the entanglement propagation through a system which is consist of a pair of maximally entangled spins coupled to one end of the chain. The calculations are performed for the ground state and the thermal state of the chain, separately. In both cases the presence of this anisotropic interaction make our channel more efficient, such that the speed of transmission and the amount of the entanglement are improved as this interaction is switched on. We show that for large values of the strength of this interaction a large family of XXZ chains becomes efficient quantum channels, for whole values of an isotropy parameter in the region 2Δ2-2 \leq \Delta \leq 2.Comment: 21 pages, 9 figure
