No full textFor ionic components that can be detected specifically a method is described for analysing them via steady state mixed zones in an isotachophoretic analysis. Some practical remarks are given and the background is discussed. We recommend this method especially if the component of interest is present in very low concentrations, compared with other ions in the sample e.g. micromolar ADP concentrations in a centimolar buffer solution. The quantification of ADP in this type of sample by means of UV absorbance measurement of an ADP/acetate steady state mixed zone is shown
