The study revealed how stammering pupils feel at school, the relationship between school anxiety level and stammering severity. It has been found that more than half of stammering pupils who took part in the study feel considerable school anxiety, which is related to the type of stammering, in particular, anxiety is shown through the fear of self-expression, the fear to betray expectations, fear of knowledge check, and overall anxiety. Analysis of the data suggests that there are close links between school anxiety of stammering pupils and type and severity of stammering. All the factors of school anxiety: overall anxiety, social stress, frustrated need for success, fear of self-expression, fear of knowledge check, fear to betray expectations, low resistance to physiological stress, relationship problems with teachers and fears are interrelated. The research results have partially confirmed the hypothesis that school anxiety depends on the type of stammering type and stammering severity, and stammering encourages the emergence of anxiety, and vice versa. The article discusses the features for school adaptation of stammering and factors which stimulate the strength of stammering
