    DASH Diet Quality and Status of Mental Emotional Disorder among Hypertensive Women in Rural Area

    The purpose of this study was to analyse the relationship between diet quality and mental emotional disorder status with the incidence of hypertension in women in rural areas. The study was a cross sectional study with 143 women (71 with normotensive and and 72 with hypertension) in Pondok Bungur Village, Purwakarta District, West Java, Indonesia. The independent variables were dietary qualities based on customized DASH-like diet and mental emotional disorder status, while the dependent variable was hypertension status. Dietary quality was obtained by non consecutive 2 days 24 hours recall, while mental emotional disorder was collected through SRQ 20. Chi-Square and Mann-Whitney were used for data analysis. The DASH-like diet quality of both groups were low thus showed no significant correlation between the DASH diet quality and HT in the study population (p>0.05), as did the status of mental emotional disorder (p>0.05). However, age may be a cofactor in this study because the age differed significantly between the normal and hypertension group (p<0.05). This study shows that there was no difference in dietary quality between HT and non HT group as well as there were no significant correlation between diet quality and mental emotional disorder with HT status albeit segregation by the age group

    MINUMAN TINGGI AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN BERBAHAN DASAR ALAMI MINYAK BEKATUL PADI (Oryzae sativa) DAN EKSTRAK MENIRAN (Phyllanthus niruri)

    This study aimed to assess the antioxidant potential of chocholate-rice bran oil-emulsion beverage and meniran extract beverage. RBO beverage was made using oil in water emulsion with sugar ester as the emulsifier.Four formulas was created with the RBO-chocolate concentrate : water ratio of 1:1, 1:3, 1:5, and 1:7. Meanwhile the meniran beverage was made by adding extract meniran in five different concentrations (30, 40, 50, 60, 70 ppm) along with flavor and sucralose. The selected emulsion beverage had the AEAC value of 30.75 mg Vit C/100 g, while the meniran extract beverage had the AEAC value of 9.12 mg Vit C/100 g with the total fenol of 92.75 mg/100 g. The results of TBA value, content of protein, fat, carbohydrate, ash, and water of the emulsion beverage were 0.12 mg malondialdehyde eq/kg, 0.24%, 0.52%,6.74%, 0.15% and 92.32%, respectively. Increasing concentrations of chocolate and RBO significantly affected the results of the chemical parameters (p<0.05). Overall, the chocolate emulsion beverage based on RBO and meniran extract beverage had high antioxidant activity that are potential to prevent non-communicable diseases

    Upaya Kolaboratif Pemberdayaan Sumberdaya Manusia dalam Percepatan Penanggulangan Covid-19 Melalui Strategi Penguatan Ketahanan Pangan Wilayah

    The Covid-19 pandemic has a major impact on the economic sector, including in Kalibeber, Mojotengah, Wonosobo Villages. It needs community empowerment efforts that touch the independence of the family scale so that each family is able to rise up and adapt to new habits during the pandemic. The program is carried out in a series of KKN-T IPB 2020, consisting of the Optimasi Pekarangan Sehat (OMAS) and Sosialisasi dan Edukasi Jamu Aplikatif (SEJATI). OMAS is assisting the development of spinach and water spinach agricultural commodities utilizing the yard of the house. Activities carried out include seeding, distributing seeds, distributing video instructions for seeding and making liquid organic fertilizer, as well as assistance through the Whatsapp group. The activity was attended by 24 members of the PKK RW 06, Kalibeber Village. The monitor at the end showed the accumulation of fertile plants of 79.2% of the total plants, the rest withered and died. As many as 75% of the plants are well cared for, meaning that they have enough water and sunlight. From the 24 participants, only 12.5% made and nourished plants using liquid organic fertilizers. SEJATI activities provide education about common compounds in herbal plants that are beneficial for the body's immunity through video media. Changes in the level of knowledge were assessed by pre-test and post-test. The target respondents were 23 people, but only 65% of the target filled out the questionnaire. The increase in the knowledge level of the respondents was 7.22%. The level of public awareness in complying with the Covid-19 protocol shows that 95.83% of respondents think it is "very important" and 4.17% say "important". Keywords: Covid-19, Wonosobo, yard, her

    Stunting prevalence in South Kalimantan has been higher than the national figure and is the sixth highest in Indonesia. Not many studies in South Kalimantan have analysed the risk factors for stunting comprehensively that combine sociodemographic factors, utilization of maternal health services, and characteristics of children. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyse sociodemographic factors, utilization of maternal health services, and characteristics of children under 5 as determinants of stunting in South Kalimantan Province. This study used an analytic observational method with a cross-sectional design. Data collection used secondary data from the results of South Kalimantan Baseline Health Research 2018. The total population of toddlers obtained from South Kalimantan Baseline Health Research 2018 data was 1218 toddlers, and all of them were taken as samples. Data analysis used a chi square test for bivariate test and Logistic Regression for multivariate test. There is a relationship between mother’s education level (p = 0.001), father’s education (p = 0.002), toddler age (p < 0.001), low birth weight (p = 0.05), exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.008), and underweight (p = 0.000) with stunting. The data were continued with the Logistics Regression test and the dominant variables related to stunting were underweight (p < 0.001 with OR 18,241), under-five age (p < 0.001, with OR value for ages 24–35 months 9511), and premature birth (p = 0.027 with an OR of 2187). The conclusion of this study is that the most important factor in the incidence of stunting in South Kalimantan is underweight nutritional status
