Species Differentiation Of Fish Samples By Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism Analysis Of Cytochrome B Gene
Brueckner-Hartree-Fock and its renormalized calculations for finite nuclei
We have performed self-consistent Brueckner-Hartree-Fock (BHF) and its
renormalized theory to the structure calculations of finite nuclei. The
-matrix is calculated within the BHF basis, and the exact Pauli exclusion
operator is determined by the BHF spectrum. Self-consistent occupation
probabilities are included in the renormalized Brueckner-Hartree-Fock (RBHF).
Various systematics and convergences are studies. Good results are obtained for
the ground-state energy and radius. RBHF can give a more reasonable
single-particle spectrum and radius. We present a first benchmark calculation
with other {\it ab initio} methods using the same effective Hamiltonian. We
find that the BHF and RBHF results are in good agreement with other
methods
Photoemission Spectroscopy of Magnetic and Non-magnetic Impurities on the Surface of the BiSe Topological Insulator
Dirac-like surface states on surfaces of topological insulators have a chiral
spin structure that suppresses back-scattering and protects the coherence of
these states in the presence of non-magnetic scatterers. In contrast, magnetic
scatterers should open the back- scattering channel via the spin-flip processes
and degrade the state's coherence. We present angle-resolved photoemission
spectroscopy studies of the electronic structure and the scattering rates upon
adsorption of various magnetic and non-magnetic impurities on the surface of
BiSe, a model topological insulator. We reveal a remarkable
insensitivity of the topological surface state to both non-magnetic and
magnetic impurities in the low impurity concentration regime. Scattering
channels open up with the emergence of hexagonal warping in the high-doping
regime, irrespective of the impurity's magnetic moment.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figure
Design and development of a 5 kV isolated solid state switch
A unique microcircuit intended for use as a shorting switch for large extraterrestrial solar cell arrays is described. The packaging design for the 5 kV isolated hybrid switch is different from most hybrid microcircuits in that it utilizes a compartmentalized plastic case (a portion of which is encapsulated), is not hermetic, and is designed for high voltage operation
