A Review on Numerical Simulation and Comparison of Carbide and HSS Tool Wear Rate while Drilling with Difficult To Cut Super Alloy Titanium Based on Archard Model

A Carbide and HSS tool wear rate simulation using Archardˊs wear model is proposed, finite element modelling is done using commercial finite element software ABAQUS/explicit. ABAQUS interface was used to simulate the contact pressure. For measuring wear depth of tool's drilling operation is performed experimentally then wear depth is measured on profilprojecter. Comparing the wear rate, based on Archad model

Ayurveda and Modern perspective on Food Poisoning and its Medical Management

Food poisoning, also known as food borne illness, arises from consuming tainted food, with infectious agents or their toxins contaminating the food at any stage of processing. Mishandling or improper cooking at home can also lead to contamination. Symptoms include vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, stomach discomfort and fever. In Ayurveda, the body's equilibrium is governed by three Doshas; Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Disproportion in any of these Doshas can result in ailments. Aalsak and Visuchika are Ayurvedic conditions akin to food poisoning, preventable through a balanced diet and lifestyle. Ayurveda also suggested some drugs such as; Hinguvachaadi Choornam, Dashamoolarishtam, Hinguvachadi Gulika and Dhaanwantharam Kashaayam, etc. to address condition of food poisoning. Present article discussed Ayurveda and modern perspective on food poisoning and its medical management

Synthesis and Antimicrobial Evaluation of Novel Carbazole Based β-diketones and its Pyrazole Derivatives

Novel 9-ethyl-9H-carbazole-3-carboxylic acid derivatives including ester, β-diketone and pyrazole were prepared and characterized by FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and mass spectroscopic techniques. All synthesized compounds evaluated for their in vitro antimicrobial activities against four bacteria (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas putide, Bacillus subtilis, and Streptococcus lactis) and three fungi (Aspergillus niger, Penicillium sp and Candida albicans). Among the compounds tested, 3a, 3b, 3c, 4a, 4b, 4c, 5a and 5b exhibited pronounced antibacterial activity as compared with standard drug ampicillin. Notably, carbazole based pyrazole derivatives 5a and 5b showed potent antifungal activity against C. albicans comparable to reference drug greseofulvin. The study triesto analyze the emerging models that are likely to dominate the industry. The onlineadvertising industry, which has a major dominance by Google, is likely to see a lot ofhot action in the near future. While this industry will continue to grow and be popular inthe developed world, it is likely to gain a fast growth in the emerging economies ofAsia, especially India and China.Based on the analysis, it is forecasted that the online advertising industry willalmost double from 42billionin2007to 42 billion in 2007 to 72 billion in 2012 which is a growth ofCompounded Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) 11.4%, within which North America willdominate the industry. Internet use can be expected to exceed time spent on watchingTV over period of time. The online advertising industry is expected to see a major battle with Microsoftemerging a challenger to Google‟s dominance. The web analytics tool provided bysearch engines provides an effective online marketing tool for online advertisingcompanies.Key words: Online advertising, Internet marketing, New media marketing

A validated RP-HPLC method for simultaneous determination of Hydrochlorothiazide and Losartan Potassium in pharmaceutical formulation

    Get PDF
A new, simple and sensitive reverse phase high performance liquid chromatographic (RP-HPLC) method has been developed for the separation and quantification of Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) and Losartan Potassium (LOS) in tablet dosage form. The determination was carried out using GRACE C18 [4.6 x 250 mm] column as a stationary phase and mobile phase comprised of Acetonitrile: Phosphate Buffer(50 : 50) pH 3.1 in proportion of 50:50(v/v); the pH of phosphate buffer adjusted to (3.1) using orthophosphoric acid. The flow rate was maintained at 1.0ml/min and the eluent was monitored at 226nm.The retention time of MET and VILD were 4.250 min and 8.300 min respectively. The method was validated in terms of linearity, precision, accuracy, specificity and robustness. The method was linear and for precision studies; RSD for HCTZ and LOS were 0.02 and 0.04 respectively. The percentage recoveries for both drugs from their tablets were 100.80 and 99.76 respectivel

Predicting Compressive Strength of Recycled Aggregate Concrete using Analysis of Variance

A step-by-step statistical approach is proposed to obtain optimum proportioning of concrete mixtures using the data obtained through a statistically planned experimental program. The utility of the proposed approach for optimizing the design of concrete mixture is illustrated considering a typical case in which trial mixtures were considered according to a full factorial experiment design involving three factors and their three levels. A total of 27 concrete mixtures with three replicates were considered by varying the levels of key factors affecting compressive strength of concrete, namely, w/c ratio, recycled coarse /natural coarse aggregate ratio, and recycled fine/ natural fine aggregate ratio .The experimental data were utilized to carry out analysis of variance (ANOVA) and to develop a polynomial regression model for compressive strength in terms of the three design factors considered in this study. The developed statistical model was used to show how optimization of concrete mixtures can be carried out with different possible options
