It is said that one who born in a clan which has a practice of giving gifts to others and helping others; will offer their hands to the sufferers even before the sufferers tells them they are in need. This article is about the merits of Vaelpaari, the king of Parampu Mountain. He had a humble nature and a kind heart. Sangam literary books such as Puranaanuru, pathitrupathu, Sirupaanatrupadai, Thirukkural, Nikandul, Devaram, Tirupukazh have been analyzed in this article to know about Vaelpaari's generosity and kindness

The Boundless Friendship between Velpari and Kapilar in Classical Literature

This article sets out to know the opinions of poets, scholars, and sages in classical literature such as Ettuththokai (Eight Anthologies), Pathuppattu (The Ten Idylls), Pathinenkilkanakku (18 books), Didactic books, and Moral literature. And also, to explore the power of unadulterated honesty, truth, and dignity in friendship. Moreover, Kapilar was a great poet who was the chief scholar of the Tamil Sangam in education, questions, and in Madurai, the city where Tamil was developed with the various periods of Sangam as First Sangam, Middle (Idai) Sangam, and Last (Kadai) Sangam. Most of the songs in Sangam literature are sung by Kapilar. It has been thoroughly researched about the excellence of the friendship between the poet Kapilar and Velpari, the leader of the Velirkulam who ruled the small land of Parambu Nadu within the boundaries of the Pandya Empire, the grammar of friendship, the necessity of friendship, and friendship, as well as the unethical friendship that has been dealt with in Purananuru, Patirupattu, Siruppanaartuppai, Thirukkural, and Naladiyar. In the classical literature, the way in which Velpari and Kapilar valued friendship more than life, and the high spirit of Kapilar who stood as a close supporter of Velpari and guided Pari to defeat the enemy and helped him to achieve victory in the time of great suffering, is also explored in this article. Knowing that Pari cannot be defeated in a face-to-face fight, Moovendars (Three Great Kings) kills Pari by stratagem. After Velpari's death, Kabila, who had intended to sacrifice himself, changed his mind, thinking that if he too died, both of Pari's daughters would be left in a state of destitution. Kapila intended to get Pari's daughters married and appealed to the chieftains, Ilavachiko and Irungo, to share the fame of Pari and marry his daughters. Fearing the enmity of the Moovendars, the two small land leaders refused to accept Kapilar's request. Kapilar, who was heartbroken and without Pari, wanted to die. Kapilar handed over Pari's daughters to a brahmin who was close to him and gave up his life from the north

Nanostructured copper particles-incorporated Nafion-modified electrode for oxygen reduction

The electrocatalytic activity of nanostructured copper particles (represented as Cunano) incorporated Nafion (Nf) film-coated glassy carbon (GC) electrode (GC/Nf/Cunano) towards oxygen reduction was investigated in oxygenated 0.1 M phosphate buffer (pH 7.2). The electrodeposited Cunano in Nf film was characterized by atomic force microscopy (AFM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The electrocatalytic activity of Cunano at the modified electrode towards oxygen reduction was studied using cyclic voltammetry technique. The molecular oxygen reduction at the GC/Nf/Cunano-modified electrode started at a more positive potential than at a bare GC electrode. A possible reaction mechanism was proposed in which oxygen reduction may proceed through two-step two-electron processes at the GC/Nf/Cunano electrode. The GC/Nf/Cunano electrode shows higher stability for oxy gen reduction in neutral solution and the electrode may find applications in fuel cells

Mutual coupling reduction and pattern error correction in a 5G beamforming linear array using CSRR

A four-element printed antenna array operating at 25 GHz frequency with complementary split ring resonator. (CSRR) has been proposed for beamforming applications. The CSRR elements has been used to suppress the mutual coupling in the proposed array. The existence of the CSRR configuration in antenna array, controls the unnecessary surface current flow between the array elements, thus the mutual coupling between array elements has been significantly reduced up to -55 dB. The effect of mutual coupling on the array radiation patterns has been studied in the presence and absence of CSRRs. The effectiveness of CSRR has been studied by steering the main beam as well as the nulls in different angles. By implementing the CSRR elements in array antenna, the distorted array patterns have been recovered and are presented. The proposed antenna array with the CSRR has the advantage of easy and low-cost fabrication and it offers excellent coupling suppression without changing the antenna profile. The commercially available simulation tools such as Matlab and Ansys HFSS have been used for array weights calculation and antenna design respectively. Finally, the fabricated prototype has been experimentally verified, and it shows that the analytical and computed results agree well with the measured results

Electrochemical and in situ spectroelectrochemical studies of gold nanoparticles immobilized Nafion matrix modified electrode

Electrochemical and in situ spectroelectrochemical behaviours of phenosafranine (PS+) were studied at the gold nanoparticles (AuNps) immobilized Nafion (Nf) film coated glassy carbon (GC) and indium tin oxide (ITO) electrodes. Cyclic voltammetric studies showed that the PS+ molecules strongly interact with the AuNps immobilized in the Nf matrix through the electrostatic interaction. The presence of AuNps in the Nf film improved the electrochemical characteristics of the incorporated dye molecules. The emission spectra of Nf-AuNps-PS+ films showed that the incorporated PS+ was quenched by AuNps and it could be explained based on the electronic interaction between the AuNps and PS+ molecules. The in situ spectroelectrochemical study showed an improved electrochemical characteristic of the incorporated PS+ molecules at the ITO/Nf-AuNps electrode when compared to the ITO/Nf electrode
