- Correlation and Elliptic Flow Parameter of Charmed Mesons at RHIC Energy
We study the correlation between the trigger and the associated
on near and away sides in Au+Au collisions at GeV.
In the region of trigger momentum GeV/, the spectrum is
composed of thermal-shower and shower-shower recombinations in the frame work
of the recombination model. We consider the azimuthal anisotropy in the
quenched hard parton distribution and then calculate the elliptic flow
parameter of charmed mesons (, and ) for different
centralities.Comment: 17 pages, 6 figure
The symmetry of large N=4 holography
For the proposed duality relating a family of N=4 superconformal coset models
to a certain supersymmetric higher spin theory on AdS_3, the asymptotic
symmetry algebra of the bulk description is determined. It is shown that,
depending on the choice of the boundary charges, one may obtain either the
linear or the non-linear superconformal algebra on the boundary. We compare the
non-linear version of the asymptotic symmetry algebra with the non-linear coset
algebra and find non-trivial agreement in the 't Hooft limit, thus giving
strong support for the proposed duality. As a by-product of our analysis we
also show that the W_infinity symmetry of the coset theory is broken under the
exactly marginal perturbation that preserves the N=4 superconformal algebra.Comment: 26 page
Nearest-neighbor coupling asymmetry in the generation of cluster states
We demonstrate that charge-qubit cluster state generation by capacitive
coupling is anisotropic. Specifically, horizontal vs vertical nearest-neighbor
inter-qubit coupling differs in a rectangular lattice. We show how to
ameliorate this anisotropy by applying potential biases to the array of double
dots.Comment: 7 pages, 2 figure
Higgsing the stringy higher spin symmetry
It has recently been argued that the symmetric orbifold theory of T4 is dual
to string theory on AdS3 x S3 x T4 at the tensionless point. At this point in
moduli space, the theory possesses a very large symmetry algebra that includes,
in particular, a algebra capturing the gauge fields of a dual higher
spin theory. Using conformal perturbation theory, we study the behaviour of the
symmetry generators of the symmetric orbifold theory under the deformation that
corresponds to switching on the string tension. We show that the generators
fall nicely into Regge trajectories, with the higher spin fields corresponding
to the leading Regge trajectory. We also estimate the form of the Regge
trajectories for large spin, and find evidence for the familiar logarithmic
behaviour, thereby suggesting that the symmetric orbifold theory is dual to an
AdS background with pure RR flux.Comment: 27 pages, 1 figure, note added in version
Adaptive Randomized Distributed Space-Time Coding in Cooperative MIMO Relay Systems
An adaptive randomized distributed space-time coding (DSTC) scheme and
algorithms are proposed for two-hop cooperative MIMO networks. Linear minimum
mean square error (MMSE) receivers and an amplify-and-forward (AF) cooperation
strategy are considered. In the proposed DSTC scheme, a randomized matrix
obtained by a feedback channel is employed to transform the space-time coded
matrix at the relay node. Linear MMSE expressions are devised to compute the
parameters of the adaptive randomized matrix and the linear receive filter. A
stochastic gradient algorithm is also developed to compute the parameters of
the adaptive randomized matrix with reduced computational complexity. We also
derive the upper bound of the error probability of a cooperative MIMO system
employing the randomized space-time coding scheme first. The simulation results
show that the proposed algorithms obtain significant performance gains as
compared to existing DSTC schemes.Comment: 4 figure
