    IoT Based Industrial Production Monitoring System Using Wireless Sensor Networks

    The objective of the work is to monitoring the production lines in industry using wireless sensor networks. This work presents the benefits of an automated data collection and display system for production lines. It involves wireless sensor networks for monitoring the productions in industry. Condition monitoring reduces human inspection requirements through automated monitoring, reduces maintenance through detecting faults before they escalate and improves safety and reliability. This work can monitor productions using temperature, voltage and current sensors with support of microcontroller. The relay is acts like a switch to monitor the production lines. In this work, Global System for Mobile communication technique is used to transferring the collected data. The collection of data, it is transferred into computerize spreadsheet in the remote office by authorized personnel for reporting purpose. The system will generate an automated report which stays in place and the management only needs to act base on the results. This work is cost effective automatic data collection is the alternative to manual data collection. It significantly improves the accuracy of the valuable reports for the management.     Magnetoresistance in GdNi: magnetic-polaronic-like effect near the Curie temperature and low-temperature sign reversal

    The results of magnetoresistance (Δρ/ρ) measurements in GdNi, in the temperature range 4.2 to 300 K, are reported. The sign of Δρ/ρ above the Curie temperature (TC=70 K) is negative and its magnitude in a magnetic field of 80 kOe grows with decreasing temperature below 150 K with a peak value of about −20% at TC. These features, qualitatively resembling those in giant magnetoresistance systems (manganates), are attributed to the formation of some kind of magnetic polarons induced by Gd. The magnetoresistance changes sign below 12 K which is attributed to subtle band-structure effects

    Spontaneous cases of rectal prolapse in a breeding colony of FVB mice were found to be due to infection with Syphacia obvelata and Citrobacter freundii. Microbiology, biochemical and parasitological examination revealed Citrobacter freundii and eggs of Syphacia obvelata. After treatment with antibiotics, antihelminthic drugs and manual reduction prevented further occurrence

    Safe and complete contig assembly via omnitigs

    Contig assembly is the first stage that most assemblers solve when reconstructing a genome from a set of reads. Its output consists of contigs -- a set of strings that are promised to appear in any genome that could have generated the reads. From the introduction of contigs 20 years ago, assemblers have tried to obtain longer and longer contigs, but the following question was never solved: given a genome graph GG (e.g. a de Bruijn, or a string graph), what are all the strings that can be safely reported from GG as contigs? In this paper we finally answer this question, and also give a polynomial time algorithm to find them. Our experiments show that these strings, which we call omnitigs, are 66% to 82% longer on average than the popular unitigs, and 29% of dbSNP locations have more neighbors in omnitigs than in unitigs.Comment: Full version of the paper in the proceedings of RECOMB 201

    Role of chromodomain helicase DNA-binding protein 2 in DNA damage response signaling and tumorigenesis.

    The chromodomain helicase DNA-binding proteins (CHDs) are known to affect transcription through their ability to remodel chromatin and modulate histone deacetylation. In an effort to understand the functional role of the CHD2 in mammals, we have generated a Chd2 mutant mouse model. Remarkably, the Chd2 protein appears to play a critical role in the development, hematopoiesis and tumor suppression. The Chd2 heterozygous mutant mice exhibit increased extramedullary hematopoiesis and susceptibility to lymphomas. At the cellular level, Chd2 mutants are defective in hematopoietic stem cell differentiation, accumulate higher levels of the chromatin-associated DNA damage response mediator, cH2AX, and exhibit an aberrant DNA damage response after X-ray irradiation. Our data suggest a direct role for the chromatin remodeling protein in DNA damage signaling and genome stability maintenance

    Three chemotherapy studies of tuberculous meningitis in children

    Chemotherapy studies were undertaken in 180 patients with tuberculous meningitis. They were treated for 12 months withlof3 regimens: the first consisted of streptomycin, isoniazid and rifampicin daily for the first 2 months, followed by ethambutol plus isoniazid for 10 months; in the second, pyrazinamide was added for the first 2 months, and in the third, rifampicin was re-duced to twice weekly in the first 2 months. In the first regimen alone, streptomycin was also given twice weekly from the third to the sixth month. Steroids were prescribed for all the patients in thc initial weeks of treatment. Approximately 50% of the patients were aged less than 3 years. On admission, 13%of the patients were classified as stage 1,77% as stage Hand 9% as stage III. Cere-brospinal fluid (CSF) culture results were available for all the 180 patients and M. tuberculosis was isolated in 59 (33%). CSF smear results for acid fast bacilli were available only for the 103 patients admitted to the second and the third studies, and of these, in 60 (58%) the CSF was positive cither by smear or culture. The response to therapy was similar in the 3 studies. Despite administration of rifampicin for 2 months, the mortality was high. In all, 27% of the patients died of tuberculous meningitis, 39% had neurological sequelae and 34% recovered completely. There was a strong association between ilu stage on admission and the mortality rate, the deaths being highest in stage III. In the first study; when isoniazid was prescribed daily in a dosage of 20 mg/kg, 39 % of the patients developed jaundice however, when the dosage was reduced to 12 mg/kg, the incidence was only 16%. In the third study. where rifampicin was administered twice a week, the incidence of jaundice was low (5%)

    Superconductivity in Dense MgB2MgB_2 Wires

    MgB2MgB_2 becomes superconducting just below 40 K. Whereas porous polycrystalline samples of MgB2MgB_2 can be synthesized from boron powders, in this letter we demonstrate that dense wires of MgB2MgB_2 can be prepared by exposing boron filaments to MgMg vapor. The resulting wires have a diameter of 160 μm{\mu}m, are better than 80% dense and manifest the full χ=1/4π\chi = -1/4{\pi} shielding in the superconducting state. Temperature-dependent resistivity measurements indicate that MgB2MgB_2 is a highly conducting metal in the normal state with ρ(40K)\rho (40 K) = 0.38 μOhm\mu Ohm-cmcm. Using this value, an electronic mean free path, l600 A˚l \approx 600~\AA can be estimated, indicating that MgB2MgB_2 wires are well within the clean limit. TcT_c, Hc2(T)H_{c2}(T), and JcJ_c data indicate that MgB2MgB_2 manifests comparable or better superconducting properties in dense wire form than it manifests as a sintered pellet.Comment: Figures' layout fixe
