A classification of four-state spin edge Potts models

We classify four-state spin models with interactions along the edges according to their behavior under a specific group of symmetry transformations. This analysis uses the measure of complexity of the action of the symmetries, in the spirit of the study of discrete dynamical systems on the space of parameters of the models, and aims at uncovering solvable ones. We find that the action of these symmetries has low complexity (polynomial growth, zero entropy). We obtain natural parametrizations of various models, among which an unexpected elliptic parametrization of the four-state chiral Potts model, which we use to localize possible integrability conditions associated with high genus curves.Comment: 5 figure

The effect of plant extracts kalanchoe daigremontiana and aloe arborescens on the metabolism of human multiple myeloma cells

The effect of plant extracts Kalanchoe daigremontiana, and Aloe arborescens on human multiple myeloma cells' viability was investigated. It was shown that plant extracts of kalanchoe and aloe reduced tumor cells' viability by 13 and 46%, respectively. The combination of plant extracts with doxorubicin showed an additive synergism of action, enhancing the antitumor effect. Treatment of multiple myeloma cells with plant extracts led to a decrease in intracellular reduced glutathione level. The intracellular glutathione level decreased by 25% under the action of kalanchoe extract and by 63% under the action of aloe extract. Extracts from kalanchoe and aloe decreased mitochondrial membrane potential by 19 and 53%, respectively. The results of the study showed that kalanchoe extract increased ATPase activity, but aloe extract did not affect the level of ATPase activity. The results showed that plant extracts of kalanchoe and aloe affect tumor cells' metabolism and contribute to their death. It was concluded that herbal extracts Kalanchoe daigremontiana and Aloe arborescens have antitumor activity, and aloe extract is more effective than kalanchoe

Electrotransport and magnetic properies of Cr-GaSb spintronic materials synthesized under high pressure

Electrotarnsport and magnetic properties of new phases in the system Cr-GaSb were studied. The samples were prepared by high-pressure (P=6-8 GPa) high-temperature treatment and identified by x-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). One of the CrGa$_2$Sb$_2$ phases with an orthorhombic structure $Iba2$ has a combination of ferromagnetic and semiconductor properties and is potentially promising for spintronic applications. ПОСТПИЛОРИЧЕСКАЯ НУТРИТИВНАЯ ПОДДЕРЖКА В КОМПЛЕКСНОМ ЛЕЧЕНИИ СЕПСИСА НОВОРОЖДЁННЫХ

The study was undertaken for the relationship of the transpyloric jejunal nutrition support in infants suffering from severe sepsis and the long-lasting gut-specific malfunction. The study design is retrospective, probationary, single-center, historical control. A total of 127 infants were examined. The inclusion criteria are: neonatality, the available focus of inflammation infection, the dysfunction of two and more systems, the artificial pulmonary ventilation longer than 48 hours, available enteroparesis, ≥ 3 scores by the PRNS scale. It was established that under development of the intestinal failure with the sepsis infant patients, the transpyloric pathway is the preferred one for the enteral feeding delivery. The indication for the installation of the jejunal enteral feeding tube is the volume of the venter stagnant discharge of > 6 ml per day. Проведено исследование взаимосвязи транспилорической еюнальной нутритивной поддержки у новорождённых c тяжёлым сепсисом с длительной кишечной дисфункцией. Дизайн исследования - ретроспективное, обсервационное, одноцентровое, исторический контроль. Обследовано 127 новорождённых. Критерии включения: новорожденность; наличие инфекционно-воспалительного очага; дисфункция двух систем и более; искусственная вентиляция лёгких продолжительностью более 48 ч; наличие пареза кишечника, оценка по шкале PRNS ≥ 3 баллов. Установлено, что при развитии синдрома кишечной недостаточности у новорождённых, больных сепсисом, предпочтительный путь доставки энтерального питания - транспилорический. Показанием для установки еюнального зонда является объём застойного отделяемого желудка > 6 мл в сутки

Complexity and integrability in 4D bi-rational maps with two invariants

In this letter we give fourth-order autonomous recurrence relations with two invariants, whose degree growth is cubic or exponential. These examples contradict the common belief that maps with sufficiently many invariants can have at most quadratic growth. Cubic growth may reflect the existence of non-elliptic fibrations of invariants, whereas we conjecture that the exponentially growing cases lack the necessary conditions for the applicability of the discrete Liouville theorem.Comment: 16 pages, 2 figure

Investigation of transformer oil by nuclear magnetic relaxation and Z-scanning

GK-grade transformer oil is investigated by methods of nuclear magnetic relaxation and Z-scanning. The size of the heterogeneous structures in the oil increases during its service. The solid-particle content in the liquid phase, however, remains essentially unchanged, and the excess particles precipitate. The feasibility of quantitative determination of the heterogeneous-structure/ liquid ratio in oil samples investigated is discussed. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media New York

Острые церебральные сосудистые события после каротидной эндартерэктомии

Introduction. Acute cerebrovascular accident is recognized as the leading pathology in the structure of cerebrovascular diseases (CVD). Annually 6 million cases of CVD are registered in the world. Fatal outcomes from this pathology in Russia occur 1.5–2 times more often than in developed countries. According to the All-Russian Center for Preventive Medicine, 25% of males and 39% of females die from CVD. The incidence of CVD in Russia ranges from 460 to 560 cases per 100 thousand people. This pathology may be caused by carotid artery stenosis resulting from atherosclerotic vascular lesions and plaque formation which lead to embolism and stroke.Materials and methods. The study analyzed 341 medical histories of patients hospitalized at the Bashkir State Medical University Clinic (BSMU Clinic) in 2022, who underwent carotid endarterectomy (CEE) (288 of them had a history of chronic cerebrovascular accident) and 278 medical histories of patients with acute cerebrovascular accident, hospitalized at the Neurologic Clinic of the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University in 2022.Results and discussion. Perioperative complications that occurred during CEE at BSMU Clinic in 2022 included 12 cases of acute cerebrovascular accident of ischemic type (3.52%) and 2 cases of transient ischemic attack (0.6%), which is lower than the same rates in previously published observations at the same clinic.Conclusion. The number of complications resulting from the CEE does not exceed the global rates. Quantitative and qualitative indicators of carotid reconstructions demonstrate positive trends. Acute cerebrovascular accident requires clarifying the cause of its occurrence and taking measures to prevent ischemic strokes, including angiosurgical interventions.Введение. Острое нарушение мозгового кровообращения является ведущей патологией в структуре цереброваскулярных заболеваний (ЦВЗ). Ежегодно в мире регистрируется 6 миллионов случаев возникновения ЦВЗ. Летальный исход от данной патологии в России возникает в 1,5–2 раза чаще, чем в развитых странах. Согласно данным Всероссийского центра профилактической медицины, от ЦВЗ умирает 25 % лиц мужского пола и 39 % лиц женского пола. Частота ЦВЗ в России составляет от 460 до 560 случаев на 100 тысяч человек. Данное состояние может быть обусловлено стенозом сонных артерий, возникшим вследствие атеросклеротического поражения сосудов и образования бляшек, приводящих к эмболии и развитию инсульта.Материалы и методы. Нами был произведен анализ 341 истории болезни пациентов, госпитализированных в Клинику Башкирского государственного медицинского университета (КБГМУ) в 2022 году, которым проведена каротидная эндартерэктомия (КЭЭ), из них у 288 пациентов в анамнезе было хроническое нарушение мозгового кровообращения, и 278 историй болезни пациентов с острым нарушением мозгового кровообращения, госпитализированных в неврологическую университетскую клинику Таджикского государственного медицинского университета имени Абуали ибни Сино в 2022 г.Результаты и обсуждение. В структуре периоперационных осложнений, возникших при проведении КЭЭ за 2022 год в КБГМУ, было зафиксировано 12 случаев острого нарушения мозгового кровообращения по ишемическому типу (3,52 %) и 2 случая транзиторной ишемической атаки (0,6 %), что является более низким показателем по сравнению с ранее опубликованными наблюдениями этой же клиники.Заключение. Количество осложнений, возникших в результате проведения КЭЭ, не превышает общемировые показатели. Наблюдается положительная динамика в отношении количественно-качественных показателей каротидных реконструкций. Острое нарушение мозгового кровообращения является состоянием, требующим уточнения причины его возникновения и проведения ранней профилактики развития инсультов по ишемическому типу, включая ангиохирургические вмешательства

Determining the size of brain structures using voxel morphometry

Voxel morphometry is described as a method of diagnosis and quantitative analysis of the structures ot the nervous system with review of the literature and clinical examples from our practice. Hippocampally used for differential diagnosis of dementia. For morphological confirmation of the diagnosis 'Alzheimer's disease' was conducted fMRI study using the method of voxel morphometry for 10 patients with suspected temporal lobe dementia. The result of the obtained results, voxel morphometry is a useful tool in the identification and study of neurological diseases.Воксельная морфометрия описывается как метод диагностики и количественного анализа структур нервной системы с обзором литературы и клиническим примером из нашей практики. Гиппокампометрия использована для дифференциальной диагностики деменций. С целью морфологического подтверждения диагноза «болезнь Альцгеймера» были проведены исследования МРТ с применением методики воксельной морфометрии для 10 пациентов с подозрением на височную деменцию. В результате полученных результатов, воксельная морфометрия является полезным инструментом в выявлении и изучении неврологических заболеваний
