مماثلة الشعر الثوري في كلام فيض أحمد فيض و مفدي زكريا: Similarities of the revolutionary poetry in the poetry of Faiz Ahmad Faiz and Mufdi Zakaria
A study of human history reveals that man has been on a journey of evolution from the very beginning. In this evolutionary journey, man has used every means at his disposal to move forward. However, in this journey, the expression of mental imagination and heartfelt emotions has been the greatest support of man.
The journey of human evolution continues even in modern times and it would not be wrong to call the twentieth century the century of revolutions. The end of the Ottoman Empire, the two world wars, many events emerging and disappearing on the world stage, many emerging movements in the Arab world and the Western world, the independence of the Indian subcontinent and many other movements have been characteristic of the twentieth century.
In the middle of the twentieth century, the subcontinent was the center of a similar evolutionary movement. On the one hand, the independence movement was at its peak, on the other hand, the movement of human evolution against social oppression and discrimination was going on, and the writers were also playing their full role in this movement. An emerging name among those writers was Faiz Ahmed Faiz who breathed new life into the progressive revolution through his Urdu poetry.
At a time when Faiz Ahmed Faiz's poetry was playing a role in the progressive movement in the subcontinent, the Arab world was enjoying the literary masterpieces of Algerian progressive and revolutionary poet Mufdi Zakaria. In the poetry of Mufdi Zakaria, the revolutionary color is very prominent which is seen in the poetry of Urdu poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz. Even Mufdi Zakaria faced almost all the accusations and hardships that Faiz Ahmed Faiz used to face. He made an effective contribution to literary, political and revolutionary activity. These two people have a lot in common in their poetry. That's why I chose both for my research work. So that people can be introduced to this great literary heritage of Urdu and Arabic language. I hope that this work of mine will prove to be an important milestone in both Urdu and Arabic language literature
Correlation Of Hematocrit And Hemoglobin With Obesity, Serum Lipids And Aldosterone In Newly Diagnosed Hypertensive Patients
To determine the relationship of obesity indicators with certain hemodynamic and metabolic cardiovascular risk factors, at the initial diagnosisof hypertension in a random population, in search of a treatable causeMethods: A case control study was conducted on 201 subjects aged between 25-60 years, diagnosed primarily as prehypertensive or hypertensive stage Iand II , selected from five general practitioners clinics in Karachi. Estimated of hematocrit, hemoglobin, triglycerides, low density lipoproteins, serumpotassium level and aldosterone was done. Their body mass index and waist hip ratio were calculated by measuring body weight, height, waist and hipcircumference. The values obtained were compared with 75 controls with normal blood pressure. The mean and standard deviation were computed. Analysis was done by SPSS version 15.LSD test was applied to compare pair-wise group. Pearson’scorrelation was applied to find out association of different variables with one another, within each of the four groupsResults: The overall percentages of overweight and obese subjects were higher in all four groups. The mean hematocrit and hemoglobin levels werehighest in HTN stage –I (44.7±5.25 and15.4±2.20 respectively). Hemoglobin was strongly correlated to systolic blood pressure and waist hip ratio in bothhypertension stages-I and II (p<0.01). Whereas hematocrit was positively correlated to body mass index, triglycerides, serum potassium and aldosteronelevels in both stages of hypertension (p<0.01)Conclusion: High hematocrit, hemoglobin, triglyceride levels, visceral fat accumulation and aldosterone secretion are important and independent riskfactors for hypertension
Association between circulating adiponectin levels and polycystic ovarian syndrome
Background:
Low adiponectin levels in polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) have been largely attributed to obesity which is common among these patients. In addition, evidence also suggests that low adiponectin in PCOS may be related to insulin resistance (IR) in these women. However, studies on the role of adiponectin in younger and lean patients are limited. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to examine the association of adiponectin levels in young and lean women with PCOS.

Methods:
A case–control study was conducted at the Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi, Pakistan. Cases were 75 patients of PCOS with Body Mass Index (BMI) &23 aged 16–35 years and 75 healthy age and BMI matched controls were selected from family and friends of the cases. Demographic details, family history and past medical history were obtained through interview by a physician. Anthropometric measurements included weight and height of the participants. Fasting glucose, total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein (HDL), insulin, adiponectin, and androgen levels were determined. IR was calculated using homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance (HOMA-IR). Logistic regression models were used to assess the association between adiponectin and PCOS after adjusting for co-variates.

Results:
On multivariable analysis, PCOS cases were 3.2 times more likely to have low adiponectin level (OR = 3.2, 95% CI 1.49-6.90, p-value 0.003) compared to the controls after adjustment for age, BMI, family history, marital status, total cholesterol, HDL level and IR. Females with a family history of PCOS were significantly more likely to have lower adiponectin (OR = 3.32, 95% CI 1.27-8.67, p-value 0.014) compared to those who did not have a family history of PCOS. The associations of IR and family history with low adiponectin level also remained statistically significant after adjustments for covariates.

Conclusion:
Serum adiponectin levels are independently associated with PCOS and are only partly explained by IR. Adiponectin level may serve as a potential independent biomarker for diagnosis of PCOS in young and lean women with fewer symptoms, or women with a family history of PCOS

Lymphangiosarcoma of the arm presenting with lymphedema in a woman 16 years after mastectomy: a case report
Lymphangiosarcoma following breast cancer is a relatively rare entity, with around 300 cases so far reported worldwide. Affecting the long term survivors of breast cancer, lymphangiosarcoma (Stewart-Traves Syndrome) has a high mortality rate. Since lympedema following radical mastectomy or axillary clearance and radiotherapy seems to be the main predisposing factor, further research regarding modifications in the surgical technique of axillary nodes dissection as well as the development of new chemotherapeutic agents effective in lymphangiosarcoma are required
Review of Contemporary Energy Harvesting Techniques and Their Feasibility in Wireless Geophones
Energy harvesting converts ambient energy to electrical energy providing
numerous opportunities to realize wireless sensors. Seismic exploration is a
prime avenue to benefit from it as energy harvesting equipped geophones would
relieve the burden of cables which account for the biggest chunk of exploration
cost and equipment weight. Since numerous energies are abundantly available in
seismic fields, these can be harvested to power up geophones. However, due to
the random and intermittent nature of the harvested energy, it is important
that geophones must be equipped to tap from several energy sources for a stable
operation. It may involve some initial installation cost but in the long run,
it is cost-effective and beneficial as the sources for energy harvesting are
available naturally. Extensive research has been carried out in recent years to
harvest energies from various sources. However, there has not been a thorough
investigation of utilizing these developments in the seismic context. In this
survey, a comprehensive literature review is provided on the research progress
in energy harvesting methods suitable for direct adaptation in geophones.
Specifically, the focus is on small form factor energy harvesting circuits and
systems capable of harvesting energy from wind, sun, vibrations, temperature
difference, and radio frequencies. Furthermore, case studies are presented to
assess the suitability of the studied energy harvesting methods. Finally, a
design of energy harvesting equipped geophone is also proposed

Objective: To study how the COVID-19 is affecting the treatment and management of other ailments. Try to find a strategy to resume elective OR lists.Introduction: We overviewed the effect of COVID-19 on the elective surgical lists of otorhinolaryngology in the ENT Department of Holy Family Hospital, Rawalpindi.Materials and Methods: The data from Jan 2020 to July 2020 was collected. It is a descriptive study analyzing the data, 3 months before and 3 months after the imposition of lockdown in the whole of Pakistan due to a surge in COVID-19 cases. The data was collected from the operation dating register of OPD and elective operative lists of ENT OT. Data were analyzed by Microsoft excel spreadsheet version 7. Results: There was an overall 92% decrease in the elective surgical procedures done in the ENT dept. of Holy family Hospital during the COVID-19 lockdown period. The procedures done in the COVID lockdown period were mostly emergency procedures and lifesaving procedures. Conclusion: COVID-19 has badly impacted the elective surgical procedures and in turn the health of the patients presenting to ENT OPD with various diseases which were treated surgically before COVID lockdown.Recommendations: To prevent this from happening again during the 2nd wave of COVID-19, we could opt for multiple precautionary measures to avoid the spread of infection and continue the provision of our surgical services to the patients
Frequency of Anosmia and Ageusia in COVID-19 Patients
Background:With little research about the disease progress and its variants from asymptomatic individuals to patients suffering from type 2 respiratory failure, it has been a challenge to diagnose the affected individuals and control its spread. Different initial researches indicated presence of sudden anosmia and dysgeusia in asymptomatic or mild symptomatic carriers. Hence the purpose of my research was to find out the frequency of these symptoms in covid-19 positive patients. Methods:This is a retrospective study of 157 patients who were tested positive with COVID -19 between March and September 1, 2020. Because of restrictions on visits to clinics and hospitals and increased risk of exposure during the epidemic, patients were not examined. Data was collected through google forms and telephonic interviews of patients who suffered from covid 19 in the past. Results:The data was analyzed using spss version 23. According to our result ,of all the patients suffered from covid -19 58.1% patients presented with sudden onset anosmia and 53.8% presented with sudden hypogeusia without any previous history of such symptoms. Conclusion:The purpose of my research was to conclude frequency of symptoms of sudden onset anosmia and dysgeusia in COVID-19 patients in Pakistan. This will facilitate timely screening and thus isolation of affected individuals, thus decreasing the spread and lowering the curve. As proven, in addition of fever and sudden onset dry cough, isolated sudden onset anosmia(ISOA)should be considered one of the presenting complains
