Las competencias genéricas, las estrategias de aprendizaje y los estilos docentes. Análisis de su influencia en el rendimiento académico de estudiantes en un entorno virtual de una universidad privada del Perú

El objetivo general de esta tesis doctoral es operacionalizado a través de ocho objetivos específicos. Para la consecución de estos objetivos, el marco metodológico de la tesis se circunscribe a un tipo de investigación cuantitativa y retrospectiva. Asimismo, se aplicó un nivel de investigación analítico-correlacional multivariado de corte transversal. Participaron 216 estudiantes que fueron seleccionados a través de un muestreo probabilístico estratificado con afijación proporcional teniendo en cuenta la variabilidad entre grupos y la homogeneidad de características intragrupo. También se encuestó a 9 docentes a tiempo completo. Para evaluar el rendimiento académico, el programa de Educación nos proporcionó las actas de las notas promedio obtenida en el semestre dentro de los cursos cursados en el entorno virtual, previa autorización escrita y firmada por todos los participantes a través del consentimiento informado. Se concluye que, las tres variables que más influyen en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes, a partir de los factores educativos analizados en un entorno virtual son: estilo de aprendizaje, trabajo cooperativo y competencia digital incluyendo como moderadoras las variables docentes. El mayor porcentaje de estudiantes de educación alcanzaron el nivel alto en las competencias genéricas discentes requeridas para el trabajo cooperativo, realizar las actividades propuestas con autonomía y el manejo de herramientas digitales; también lograron tener un buen rendimiento académico

Mediating role of inclusive leadership in innovative teaching behavior

Purpose: The prime purpose of current research is to investigate the mediating role of inclusive leadership between teaching policy, teachingresources,and innovativeteaching behavior. Design/methodology/approach: This research has collected data on a Likert scale questionnaire and the structural equation modeling technique is applied in data analysis.The population of this research are teachers in Peru. Findings: The findings of this research highlighted that the mediating role of inclusive leadership is significant between teaching policy, teachingresources,and innovative teaching behavior.Furthermore, the research highlighted that the direct impact of teaching policy, teachingresources, and inclusiveleadership are significant in innovative teaching behavior.Research limitations/implications: This research has theoretical implications as it has enhanced the model of innovative teaching with mediating role of inclusive leadership. Furthermore, the practical implications of this research can improve teaching behavior innovatively by adopting new policies for teaching and utilizing appropriate resources for it. CURRENT TRENDS IN RESEARCH METHODS FOR ENGINEERING: A CONTEMPORARY STUDY

This study is devoted to reviewing and analyzing current trends in engineering research methods, concentrating on modeling and simulation, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and complex systems engineering. Selected and analyzed academic articles published within the last five years were used to create a critical analysis. Despite the associated challenges, such as the need for new competencies and resources, the results indicated that these emergent methods significantly impact the engineering field. However, significant voids were also identified, including the inability to solve engineering problems innovatively and efficiently. This study concludes by emphasizing the need for additional in-depth research into these trends and their effects on various engineering disciplines
