    Get PDF
Teacher aptitude as self-preparation for people engaging in teaching services, can promote higher professional quality, boost professional achievements and lead them to aim higher. This analytical study aims at analyzing the professional characteristics of teacher aptitude, vice its operation in Chinese trainee teachers’ preparation then suggest strategies to improve it. The authors divide teacher aptitude into four aspects: having professional teaching values, interest, ability, personality. Furthermore, the study suggests that both evaluation and cultivation of teacher aptitude should be considered. Therefore, pre-service teacher preparation should base on the aptitude as personal willingness by also adding aptitude assessment during the enrollment, provide enough educational theory& practice training programs, and construct adequate pre-service teacher training mechanisms for non-education majors’ students. Background: Oral cancer has a profound impact on quality of life, but the relationship between quality of life and tumorigenesis, catecholamine levels, and disease stage in oral cancer patients is not well understood. Methods: Pre-surgical quality of life was determined using the Short Form 36 (SF-36) health-related quality of life questionnaire in 75 oral neoplasm patients, including 40 oral carcinoma patients and 35 benign oral tumor patients. The plasma epinephrine and norepinephrine concentrations were assessed using high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry-mass spectrometry, and data were analyzed using multivariate logistic regression models. Results: There were significant differences in pain, general health, and mental health SF-36 subscores between the oral carcinoma and benign oral tumor groups. Multivariate logistic regression models showed that the SF-36 scores in the oral carcinoma group were significantly lower than those in the benign oral tumor group. Conclusions: These findings show that general health is affected in oral neoplasm patients and stress hormones can affect quality of life in oral carcinoma patients; furthermore, plasma catecholamines and mental health contribute to the progression of oral carcinoma

Findings and Originality/value: An algorithm with obvious advantages in terms of searching capability and optimization efficiency of customer collaborative product innovation was proposed. According to the defects of the traditional genetic annealing algorithm, the niche genetic annealing algorithm was presented. Firstly, it avoided the effective gene deletions at the early search stage and guaranteed the diversity of solution; Secondly, adaptive double point crossover and swap mutation strategy were introduced to overcome the defects of long solving process and easily converging local minimum value due to the fixed crossover and mutation probability; Thirdly, elite reserved strategy was imported that optimal solution missing was avoided effectively and evolution speed was accelerated. Originality/value: Firstly, the improved genetic simulated annealing algorithm overcomes some defects such as effective gene easily lost in early search. It is helpful to shorten the calculation process and improve the accuracy of the convergence value. Moreover, it speeds up the evolution and ensures the reliability of the optimal solution. Meanwhile, it has obvious advantages in efficiency of information sharing among the innovation agents of customer collaborative product innovation. So, the product design cycle could be shortened.Peer Reviewe

Removal of 17α-ethynylestradiol from aqueous solutions by a hybrid PAC/UF process

This study investigated the removal of 17α-ethynylestradiol (EE2) from water using activated carbon adsorption and powdered activated carbon/ultrafiltration (PAC/UF). EE2 was easily adsorbed by PAC. The adsorption of EE2 fitted the Freundlich model well. The influences of initial EE2 concentration, filtration rate, PAC dose, natural organic matter (NOM), and sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS) were investigated. The EE2 concentration and filtration rate had no significant effect on EE2 removal, whereas the addition of PAC had a significant effect on EE2 removal. The removal rate of EE2 increased dramatically from 7.01% to 80.03% as the PAC dose was increased from 0 to 10 mg/L. Both SDBS and NOM decreased the EE2 removal efficiency. The removal efficiency of EE2 in the PAC/UF process decreased from 86.77% to 42.64% as the SDBS concentration was increased from 0 to 50 mg/L. It was concluded that activated carbon adsorption and PAC/UF can be used for the effective removal of EE2 from water. Keywords: 17-α-ethynylestradiol, adsorption, ultrafiltration, PAC/UF process, removal efficienc

Robust Time Series Dissimilarity Measure for Outlier Detection and Periodicity Detection

Dynamic time warping (DTW) is an effective dissimilarity measure in many time series applications. Despite its popularity, it is prone to noises and outliers, which leads to singularity problem and bias in the measurement. The time complexity of DTW is quadratic to the length of time series, making it inapplicable in real-time applications. In this paper, we propose a novel time series dissimilarity measure named RobustDTW to reduce the effects of noises and outliers. Specifically, the RobustDTW estimates the trend and optimizes the time warp in an alternating manner by utilizing our designed temporal graph trend filtering. To improve efficiency, we propose a multi-level framework that estimates the trend and the warp function at a lower resolution, and then repeatedly refines them at a higher resolution. Based on the proposed RobustDTW, we further extend it to periodicity detection and outlier time series detection. Experiments on real-world datasets demonstrate the superior performance of RobustDTW compared to DTW variants in both outlier time series detection and periodicity detection
