    Pitting damage levels estimation for planetary gear sets based on model simulation and grey relational analysis

    The planetary gearbox is a critical mechanism in helicopter transmission systems. Tooth failures in planetary gear sets will cause great risk to helicopter operations. A gear pitting damage level estimation methodology has been devised in this paper by integrating a physical model for simulation signal generation, a three-step statistic algorithm for feature selection and damage level estimation for grey relational analysis. The proposed method was calibrated firstly with fault seeded test data and then validated with the data of other tests from a planetary gear set. The estimation results of test data coincide with the actual test records, showing the effectiveness and accuracy of the method in providing a novel way to model based methods and feature selection and weighting methods for more accurate health monitoring and condition prediction

    The disappearance of a narrow Mg II absorption system in quasar SDSS J165501.31+260517.4

    In this letter, we present for the first time, the discovery of the disappearance of a narrow Mg II λλ2796,2803\lambda\lambda2796,2803 absorption system from the spectra of quasar SDSS J165501.31+260517.4 (ze=1.8671z_{\rm e}=1.8671). This absorber is located at zabs=1.7877z_{\rm abs} =1.7877, and has a velocity offset of 8,423 km s18,423\rm ~km~s^{-1} with respect to the quasar. According to the velocity offset and the line variability, this narrow Mg II λλ2796,2803\lambda\lambda2796,2803 absorption system is likely intrinsic to the quasar. Since the corresponding UV continuum emission and the absorption lines of another narrow Mg II λλ2796,2803\lambda\lambda2796,2803 absorption system at zabs=1.8656z_{\rm abs}=1.8656 are very stable, we think that the disappearance of the absorption system is unlikely to be caused by the change in ionization of absorption gas. Instead, it likely arises from the motion of the absorption gas across the line of sight

    La présente étude est consacrée aux différents recours disponibles pour solutionner les conflits relatifs aux investissements étrangers en République populaire de Chine et s'attarde sur les particularités du droit chinois à cet égard. Une analyse de l'ensemble de ces recours est présentée, soulignant les avantages et les inconvénients de chacun, et expliquant la gradation qui existe entre eux. Tant le droit international que le droit interne de la Chine prévoient en effet des mécanismes conçus pour faciliter la résolution de divers types de conflits : concertation, conciliation, arbitrage, intervention de divers acteurs et parfois même du Parti communiste chinois ou de certains administrateurs, cours de justice, etc. Le droit international est analysé du point de vue chinois, particulièrement en ce qui a trait aux conventions internationales bilatérales ou multilatérales.This paper presents a study of the recourses available in connection with litigation regarding foreign investment in the People's Republic of China and emphasizes the particularities of Chinese law. An analysis of all of the different dispute resolution mecnanisms is presented underscoring the advantages and disadvantages of each one and explaining the gradation as between themselves. Both Chinese law and international law offer various mechanisms designed to resolve different types of conflicts: meeting, conciliation, arbitration, intervention of various actors and sometimes even of the Chinese Communist Party or of some administrative officers, courts, etc. International law is analyzed from the Chinese point of view in particular with regard to the international bilateral and multibilateral treaties

    Diamagnetism versus Paramagnetism in charged spin-1 Bose gases

    It has been suggested that either diamagnetism or paramagnetism of Bose gases, due to the charge or spin degrees of freedom respectively, appears solely to be extraordinarily strong. We investigate magnetic properties of charged spin-1 Bose gases in external magnetic field, focusing on the competition between the diamagnetism and paramagnetism, using the Lande-factor gg of particles to evaluate the strength of paramagnetic effect. We propose that a gas with g<1/8g<{1/\sqrt{8}} exhibits diamagnetism at all temperatures, while a gas with g>1/2g>{1/2} always exhibits paramagnetism. Moreover, a gas with the Lande-factor in between shows a shift from paramagnetism to diamagnetism as the temperature decreases. The paramagnetic and diamagnetic contributions to the total magnetization density are also calculated in order to demonstrate some details of the competition.Comment: 6 pages, 5 figure

The hidden problems of home-based care and nursing for old people in the countryside are becoming increasingly outstanding and serious. It calls for the concern and participation of all the people in the society, for the government is unable to undertake all.
