Flexible constant force grinding of rare earth metal ingot

    Get PDF
The rare earth metal ingots obtained by molten salt electrolysis method have oxide layers, salt layers, and other impurities on the surface, which require polishing processing. However, currently, manual polishing processing has problems such as low processing efficiency and resource waste. By designing a flexible end effector and adopting a parallel fuzzy Proportion Integration Differentiation (PID) control strategy for constant force control of the end effector, automation and high efficiency of rare earth metal ingot grinding are achieved

Observation of indirect ionization of W7+ in an electron-beam ion-trap plasma

In this work, visible and extreme ultraviolet spectra of W7+ are measured using the high-temperature superconducting electron-beam ion trap (EBIT) at the Shanghai EBIT Laboratory under extremely low-energy conditions (lower than the nominal electron-beam energy of 130 eV). The relevant atomic structure is calculated using the flexible atomic code package based on the relativistic configuration interaction method. The GRASP2K code, in the framework of the multiconfiguration Dirac-Hartree-Fock method, is employed as well for calculating the wavelength of the M1 transition in the ground configuration of W7+. A line from the W7+ ions is observed at a little higher electron-beam energy than the ionization potential for W4+, making this line appear to be from W5+. A hypothesis for the charge-state evolution of W7+ is proposed based on our experimental and theoretical results; that is, the occurrence of W7+ ions results from indirect ionization caused by stepwise excitation between some metastable states of lower-charge-state W ions, at the nominal electron-beam energy of 59 eV

Action-Gons: Action recognition with a discriminative dictionary of structured elements with varying granularity

LNCS v. 9007 entitled: Computer Vision -- ACCV 2014: 12th Asian Conference on Computer ..., Part 5This paper presents “Action-Gons”, a middle level representation for action recognition in videos. Actions in videos exhibit a reasonable level of regularity seen in human behavior, as well as a large degree of variation. One key property of action, compared with image scene, might be the amount of interaction among body parts, although scenes also observe structured patterns in 2D images. Here, we study highorder statistics of the interaction among regions of interest in actions and propose a mid-level representation for action recognition, inspired by the Julesz school of n-gon statistics. We propose a systematic learning process to build an over-complete dictionary of “Action-Gons”. We first extract motion clusters, named as action units, then sequentially learn a pool of action-gons with different granularities modeling different degree of interactions among action units. We validate the discriminative power of our learned action-gons on three challenging video datasets and show evident advantages over the existing methods. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2015.postprin

Research on automatic grinding platform for rare earth ingot casting

Aiming at the problems of low grinding efficiency and difficulty in ensuring grinding uniformity of rare earth metal ingots, a rare earth metal ingot grinding system was designed. Based on Creo software and ANSYS/Workbench software, the kinematics analysis, modal analysis and transient dynamics analysis were carried out on the walking mechanism and flipping mechanism of automatic displacement platform of grinding system. The results show that the rare earth metal ingot grinding system has good stability and is beneficial to improving the grinding quality
