    Perbaikan Mutu Pakan yang Disuplementasi Seng Asetat dalam Upaya Meningkatkan Populasi Bakteri dan Protein Mikroba di dalam Rumen, Kecernaan Bahan Kering, dan Nutrien Ransum Sapi Bali Bunting

    RINGKASAN Suatu penelitian telah dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan populasi bakteri, protein mikroba rumen, kecernaan bahan kering, dan nutrien ransum sapi Bali bunting melalui perbaikan mutu pakan yang disuplementasi seng (Zn) asetat. Rancangan acak kelompok digunakan pada penelitian ini dengan duabelas ekor sapi dara bunting diletakkan pada tiga kelompok berdasarkan rata-rata bobot badan sapi tersebut (261 ? 17 kg). Pada setiap kelompok, ada empat grup perlakuan sapi dara yang diberi ransum, yaitu ransum A = 100% hijauan (pakan konvensional) terdiri atas 70% rumput gajah (RG) + 30% gamal; ransum B = 100% hijauan berbasis daun-daunan leguminosa (dengan perbaikan mutu pakan) dan terdiri atas 30% RG + 58% gamal + 12% waru; ransum C = 75% ransum B + 25% konsentrat tampa suplementasi Zn-asetat; dan ransum D = ransum C yang disuplementasi Zn-asetat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbaikan mutu pakan dan suplementasi Zn-asetat nyata dapat meningkatkan pH cairan rumen, populasi bakteri, dan protein mikroba dengan nilai tertinggi terdapat pada sapi ransum D. Pemberian daun waru (Hibiscus tilliaceus) pada ransum B dapat menurunkan populasi protozoa dalam rumen 32,3% (5,51 x 104 Cell/ml vs 8,14 x 104 Cell/ml; P>0,05) jika dibandingan dengan sapi ransum A. Suplementasi Zn-asetat pada ransum D juga dapat menurunkan populasi protozoa dalam rumen 37,3% (15.3 x 104 Cell/ml vs 24.4 x 104 Cell/ml; P<0,001) jika dibandingkan dengan sapi ransum C. Kecernaan bahan kering (BK) dan nutrien semakin meningkat secara nyata ke arah perbaikan mutu pakan dan suplementasi Zn-asetat dengan koefisien cerna tertinggi terdapat pada sapi ransum D. Peningkatan koefisien cerna ini disebabkan oleh semakin nyata tingginya populasi bakteri dan protein mikroba dalam rumen pada sapi ransum D. Dari hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perbaikan mutu pakan (pakan dasar dan konsentrat) yang disuplementasi Zn-asetat (ransum D) dapat meningkatkan populasi bakteri, protein mikroba dalam rumen, kecernaan bahan kering, dan nutrien ransum secara dramatis

    Agriculture extension officers is the extension agents are directly related to farmers whose job is to change the behavior of farmers through the non-formal education so that they are willing and able to help and organize themselves in accessing market information, technology, capital, and other resources, in an effort to improve productivity, efficiency business, revenue, and welfare, as well as raise awareness in environment conservation. This study aims to determine the role of agriculture extension officers in the development of farmer groups and obstacles encountered by agricultural extension officer agents in the field. This research was conducted in the Village of Rambah Baru Rambah Samo District of Rokan Hulu Regency. The results showed that the role of extension officers got a score of 2.36 with a high category, because the extension officers has been able to position itself as a partner and facilitator of farmers to undertake the role as a mentor, organizer and a dynamic, technicians, consultants, educators, leaders and advisors of farmers. While the development of farmer groups receive a score of 2.25 is classified means less developed. Obstacles encountered by extension officer its role is later than an input, information, and new technologies and follow up problems associated with the extension of related offices, facilities for materials practice in the field is still lacking, the low presence of farmers in various meetings, the low level of education of farmers and extension workers are still low income and difficulties in determining extension appropriate planting time related to erratic weather caused by global warming

    Metro is one of the cities in Lampung Province, Indonesia. It is located between Eastern Lampung and Central Lampung Districs and becomes a junction of two regional highway, i.e. Central Sumatera Highway and Sumatera Eastern Coast Highway. This position produces high traffic flow on route assignment in Metro City. This study aims to observe the impact of trough on road network performance in Metro City. TRANPLAN is used to model the performance of the network and the result is be compared with the field condition. The results indicate that the potency of daily trough traffic load in Metro City is about 24,99% from the whole interzones movement. The research also indicate that there is no problem with the performance of traffic network in Metro City for time being (with error margin less than 20%). The problem of traffic jamp is predicted happens in 2013 where V/C ratio of several main roads in Metro City are more than 0,8. Trought traffic load contributes about 21% of V/C ratio of traffic network in Metro City

    The use of jatropha oil as a source of raw material for making biodiesel is needed in order to decrease the production cost of biodiesel, since jatropha oil is categorized as non edible fat. In this research, the biodiesel production process by using an electrochemical reactor has been done. At the beginning of treatment, carried out the hydrolysis of oil by using HrS04 with acid and oil volume ratio is 1: 20. At follow-up treatment, carried out the decarboxylation via electrolysis. This process is done by varying the voltage of 0 V, 10 V,20 V,30 V,the variation of the concentration of 0.5 M acetic acid. 1 M, 1.5 M, as well as the distance between the electrodes in the reactor 5em and 10 em. From the experiments shown that electrolysis with voltage parameters, acidic electrolyte solution. and electrode spacing affects the yield of decarboxylation process. Electrolysiswith 1.5 M acetic acid concentration and voltage of 30 volts per cent obtained the highest biodiesel yield of compound that is 70.432% in the reactor with inter-electrode distance of 5cm. While in the reactor with inter-electrode distance of 10 cm. thehighest yield was 53.372% by reacting the oil with 1.5 M acetic acid and voltage 30 Volt

    This study aims to find a mathematical learning management effective and efficient for students by enabling students active in learning. This research is the Classroom Action Research(CAR), which consists of several cycles and in each cycle includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects were students of class X TB SMK Kota Bengkulu. From the results of the study saw an increase in student learning outcomes. In the first cycle of students can be increased by 20% from the initial conditions and the second cycle increased sebear 32%.
