    This study aims to determine the effect of product quality, discounts, and promotions on purchasing decisions: an empirical study on Griya Department Stores. The method used in this study is multiple regression analysis. The data used is primary data collected through collecting questionnaires from 100 Griya Department Store customers. Empirical investigations show that product quality and promotional power have a strong influence on purchasing decisions. While the price discount has no relationship with the purchase decision, Good product quality accompanied by proven promotional power strengthens the customer's decision to buy. High price discounts do not always affect the customer's decision to buy the product. This research is useful for encouraging department store management to pay attention to their promotions so that they are right on target and reach their market. Excellent product quality, management must pay attention to give customers confidence that they are purchasing from the right place

    The purpose of this study was to determine how exports and imports affect economic growth in Indonesia. The type of data used in this study is statistical data from BPS (Central Bureau of Statistics) 2009 - 2019 in Indonesia which is descriptive verification and quantitative in nature and is used to obtain empirical evidence of the influence of independent variables to process data using multiple linear regression analysis in which several assumption tests are processed using Eviews 10 software. The results of the study found that exports have a positive and significant effect on economic growth in Indonesia. While imports have a negative and significant effect on economic growth in Indonesia

    Implementation of the Indonesian Banking Architecture as a Blueprint of the Direction And Order of the National Banking System: Empirical Study of Indonesian Commercial Banking

    This study aims to examine the influence of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), earning assets, and liquidity against Return on Asset (ROA) in the conventional bank which has the biggest asset listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period of 2006 to 2010. This research used time series data from Bank Indonesia’s report and financial reports annually published by banking firms listed in IDX. After passing the purposive sampling, there were 27 conventional banks listed in IDX as sample in this study. By using multiple regression analysis (F-test), results showed that CAR, Non Performing Loan (NPL), and Non Performing Loan (NPL) collectively have significant influence on ROA. However, by using individual analysis (t-test), NPL has a negative and significant influence on ROA, while CAR and LDR have no significant influence on ROA

    This study aims to determine the factors that affect entrepreneurship capital among students at several universities in Indonesia. The focus of this research is to identify the determinants of entrepreneurial attitudes and intentions. Specifically, this study investigates the views of respondents regarding entrepreneurship in terms of enhancing the institutional capacity of campus entrepreneurship. It further examines the respondents through self-assessment on entrepreneurship quality and their views on entrepreneurs. In addition, the importance of the various benefits and values for starting a business and the role of influencers according to their perceptions of entrepreneurship will also be analyzed. This study was analyzed through descriptive research method with the aim of obtaining profiling in terms of certain demographic attributes. Thus, entrepreneurship attitudes and intentions can build entrepreneurship skills through appropriate learning methods supported by strengthening the institutional capacity of campus entrepreneurship as a business incubator, container assistance, and entrepreneurship training

    This study aims to examine the development of each variable—economic value added, financial debt, firm size, and profitability—as well as to determine the relationship, either partially or simultaneously, between each variable—economic value added, financial debt, firm size, and profitability—in pharmaceutical industry companies that listed on the IDX for the 2013-2020 period. The researcher uses the first descriptive method, then the second is verification through a quantitative approach. Researchers use secondary data. The sample used is an annual report for eight periods (2013–2020) for four sub-sector companies. where the total number of samples is 32. The analytical design implemented in this study starts with multiple linear regression analysis and then tests the classical assumptions, analyzes the coefficients of determination and correlation, and tests the hypotheses using SPSS software. The results of the study partially obtained for economic added value and firm size have a negative but not significant effect on ROE; other results obtained, namely financial debt, have a partial positive and significant effect. While simultaneously affecting the three independent variables (economic added value, financial debt, and firm size), the result is a positive and significant influence on the profitability of the pharmaceutical industry

    An Empirical Study on Influence of Specific Bank's Variables on Bank's Default Risk: The Study Case of Foreign Exchange Banks in Indonesia

    Purpose: Risk management is an integral part of a sustainable foreign exchange banks in Indonesia. Purpose of this study was to conduct an empirical investigation and to determine the risk for sustainable management of foreign exchange banks in Indonesia, especially default risk. Design/methodology/approach: The method used in this article is using logit model. Goodness of fit test used to examine fit model or otherwise. Likelihood, Cox & Snell R Square and Hosmer-Lemeshow test used to verify the model. Wald statistic used to examine the effect of each independent variable on the dependent variable. Findings: The findings showed that risk on foreign exchange banks in Indonesia is influenced by specific's dan macroeconomics variables that affect the performance of foreign exchange banks. Non performing loan, credit quality, capital requirement, interest rate and inflation have an effect on the occurrence of default risk in foreign exchange banks in Indonesia. Research limitation/implications: This research uses secondary data from foreign exchange banking statistics for 68 months from July 2011 to February 2017 in Indonesia. Practical implications: This study contribute policy to mitigate risk bank (default risk) that can affect performance of foreign exchange banks in the challenge of being able to compete on a regional and international scale. Originality/value: In this study independent variable divide into the specific bank's variables (internal variables) and macroeconomics. The internal variables are non performing loan, capital requirement, credit quality and bank size. Interest rate and inflation are chosen as macroeconomics variables

    Ethic and personality are two important things for a business organization. In terms of work place, it is important to know that someone who workid' at personal selling (salespeople) sometimes violates the moral and ethical dimensions of their profession. This is the reason why the study aimed to examine the differences in business ethi~al"~erce~tiobentsw een salespeople and the prospective personal selling people(e.g. business students) and to compare their perceptions based on gender differences. 200 samples participated in this study, and a number of hypotheses have been tested empirically. Results of the study indicate that gender differences differ in the four dimensions of ethics, namely: moral development, ethical value system, sensitivity to ethical issues, and ethical behavior. However, in general, empirical results showed no differences in gender for the examination of ethical behavior. Interesting finding showed that there are significant differences in perceptions of business ethics and personality between business students and people who have already work personal selling

    After years of stable growth, recovering from a severe economic crisis in 1997, the indonesian economy was hit by the global economic downturn in 2008. The global financial crisis has affected a number of banking institutions, including indonesian islamic banks. The crisis is reflected by the higher financing to deposit ratio (fdr) in islamic bank. Actually,the high fdr has positive impact to economic growth in the community. However, islamic banks have liquidity problems if the clients want to pull their funds from the islamic bank. This study aims to determine the effect of level of liquidity to the level of profitability in islamic banking(muama1at indonesia bank, syariah mandiri bank and syariah mega indonesia bank) over the periods 2005- 2009. Results showed that the level of liquidity as measured by the quick ratio, financing to deposit ratio and loan to asset ratio has a significant influence on return on equity. Interesting funding showed that loan to asset ratio has a negative impact on return on equity
