Summary
The aim of this article was to verify if the course, dynamics and time-structure of the judo fight in light of backwards attacks were changed after the radical change of the rules. It was presented the pilotage analyse of the fights containing the backward attack - based on the video recording from the World Championships in Rotterdam in 2009 (before the change of the rules) and The World Championships in Paris in 2011 (after the change of the rules) only in heaviest category
The total of 97 male fights in over 100 kg category were verified. The analysis of backward attacks conducted through the video recording of the fights from The World Championships in Rotterdam in 2009 (before the change of the rules) and The World Championships in Paris in 2011 after the first change of the rules showed identical frequency of backward attacks and identical number of fights terminated before the set time because of those attacks. However, the time structure of the fight showed the fight in a totally new picture. That, in turn, brings new challenges for the coaching staff and imposes the changes in defence tactics.

Aggression vs. psychic resilience system - on an example of male judo. The case study
A lot of researches concerning martial arts area showed psychological links, what suggests to others researchers that they should follow and penetrate that path [1,2]. Aggression is one of the inborn human features. It is helpful in fight for survival. Scientists defined many kinds of aggression that are interconnected with each other. The basic division recognizes: instrumental aggression and hostile aggression. Instrumental aggression is when it is not intended to harm someone but to provoke a certain behavior, e.g. winning a combat. Hostile aggression on the other hand is when it is intended to harm someone [3].
So it can be said that there is a division on acceptable aggression, which can be even useful, and the one that leads to not following any rules under the influence of emotions- unacceptable aggression. Aggression can be observed in every aspect of human life (home, school, sport life). So it is reasonable to ask if sport, which is dominated by acceptable aggression (instrumental), where unacceptable aggression is immediately punished, can be a restraint of unacceptable aggressive behaviors [4].
Researches by Dąbrowski and others showed that most of judo athletes display valuable, social and moral attitude. It can be said that training that sport discipline by socially maladjusted individual can help them to find the right way [5].
Another researches in that area by Pietrzak and Cynarski showed that according to Bushidō Code, martial art it is not only the training of the body but also of the ‘spirit ‘of the warrior. Followers can enrich their characters, spirits and ability to assess and solve situations [6]. Each man has different ability to react to other people aggressive behaviors. It depends on their psychic resilience, to be precise their psychic flexibility. Psychic resilience in sport is determined as a kind of psychic disposition necessary for the athlete to achieve success in competition [7,8,9]. The term psychic resilience can be defined as a dynamic occurrence of ability of adaptation in given situations [10].
In this context, it can be said that psychic resilience has stabilizing action and means a lower inclination to disturbances, which is seen in good psychic condition [11]. Mutual interactions of both dimensions of human psychic- aggression and psychic resilience, together with sport training seem to be an interesting researching problem
The psychic resilience on an example of some martial arts fighters
There were 76 persons who practice different martial arts (Aikido, Muay Thai/ Kickboxing, Judo) and 25 persons who did not practice any form of recreational activity, who took part in the research about men psychic resilience. The data was gathered through completing the survey ‘The resilience Scale RS-13’ by Kareny Leppert. The test results were divided experimentally into three elements. There were significant changes in resilience along with the training experience observed. However; the changes in numbers and resilience’s elements trends did not provide unambiguous answer whether the experiment was successful or not
Strategies of handling difficult situations by young people on the example of the research among young judo athletes
There were 38 young judo athletes, aged from 9 to 17 years old, who took part in the research during their summer camp. There were 24 boys and 14 girls who completed the questionnaire ‘My strategies of handling difficult situations’ published in ‘Niezbędnik Dobrego Nauczyciela’ edited by prof. dr hab. Anna Izabela Brzezińska in the series IV ‘Monitoring the development during childhood and adolescence TOM 5 supplement’ by Anna I. Brzezińska, Julita Wojciechowska, Beata Ziółkowska, Aleksandra Kram and Marta Molińska with the subtitle ‘Tool box- Early stage of adolescence – How to collect information about teenagers and his environment?’ designed for teens aged: 11/12–14/15 years old. The questionnaire ‘My strategies of handling difficult situations’ consist of 12 statements which are grouped into three subgroups for 4 items in each describing three strategies of handling situations: ‘I’, ‘No one’ and ‘Others/ Adults’. Items in strategy ‘I’ describes teenagers who while in difficult situation try to rely on themselves, have high sense of influencing actions and life situations. People with ‘I’ strategy focus on solving the problem themselves; however, having problems with asking for help. Items describing ‘No one’ strategy are characterized by a passive attitude towards difficult situations. People with that approach to difficult situations avoid confrontation and do not put the blame on themselves. Items presenting ‘Others/Adults’ strategy describe teenagers who in difficult situations turn to adults for instructions on how to cope with them. They tend to blame others for their failures. Frequently they think that it is impossible to avoid difficult situations and their abilities are not good enough to handle them.
Accepted definitions allowed for analysis of strategies used by teenagers to handle difficult situations on the example of young judo athletes.
Gathered data was statistically processed using Excel 2006 and Statistica 7.0.

Comparative analysis of psychic resilience of men and women training combat sports
In order to research psychic resilience among men and women practicing combat sports, the RS-13 Kareny Leppert test was conducted (at experimental level) among 37 men and 25 women. The significant increase of psychic resilience was observed in relation to years of training experience. There was also a dominant component pointed out, which differs, significantly, the male group from the female group
Pedagogy, or martial arts - the rivalry in quality, examples of Kazimierz Wielki University publications
Objective: To compare the basic bibliometric parameters of publications in journals in various fields of study as an indicator of rivalry.Material and methods: There were 24 publications on combat sports and 24 publications on pedagogy of labor and andragogy between 2015 and 2016.Results: It demonstreted a significant qualitative and quantitative differences in publication quality.Conclusions: The result of the study of the scientific rivalry should be a source of discussion on ways and possibilities of improving the quality of emitted publications of scientists of Kazimierz Wielki University.
Reading level as a component of the universal culture of the male judo society
Objective: To compare the level of reading of people in the judo population as a component of universal culture, against the mean value of reading in the control group and to find possible dependence on reading with judo training.Material and Methods: Tested a group of men training professional and recreationally judo - 36 persons and 36 men in control group using a standard reading questionnaire (behind the National Library) developed for training and education.Results: It showed the qualitative and quantitative differences in reading culture were demonstrated by judo fighters and judo trainers compared the national standardConclusions: Long-term judo training does not prevent the application of reading culture in everyday life
A comparative analysis of the level of aggression between female and male judokas society
Aim: The comparison the level of aggression of women and men in the judo population, against the background of the average aggression of the Polish societyMaterial and Methods: A group of 77 former and still practicing judokas (30 women and 47 men) were tested using a questionnaire to determine the aggression level of "Aggression Questionnaire" Buss, Perry, Amity Institute in Polish adaptation.Results: Women had lower levels of physical aggression than men. Reduced feelings of hostility among women and men made the judo environment different from the average Polish population.Conclusions: Only the lower level of physical aggression in women is discriminating against the judo environment. The lower level of sense of hostility is a significant distinctive for the entire judo community

W niniejszych badaniach postanowiono sprawdzić czy trening różnych sportów walki aplikowany w danym środowisku szkolnym daje możliwość kontrolowania własnej agresji.Materiał i metody: W badaniach wzięło udział 28 uczniów trenujących w środowisku szkolnym różne sporty walki oraz 28 uczniów ćwiczących jedynie na zajęciach obowiązkowych. Poziom agresji sprawdzono za pomocą kwestionariusza agresji Buss-Perry - Instytut Amity.Wyniki: Zebrane dane wykazały obniżony poziom agresji całkowitej, oraz spadek agresji całkowitej w funkcji stażu treningowego w grupie uczniów trenujących sporty walki. Nie wszystkie elementy składowe agresji trenujących uczniów ulegały jednak obniżeniu.Wnioski: Trening sportów walki realizowany z dziećmi/młodzieżą szkolną stanowi dobry, lecz jedynie początkowy etap zapobiegania agresji w warunkach szkolnych. Abstract Objective: The phenomenon of agression in the school environment is an important issue of modern pedagogy. It is so obvious that it is better to prevent an agression than to correct its consequences. Martial arts adapted to the school along with the entire superstructure of pedagogical and psychological code of honor Budo develop physical prowess of the younger generation at the same time imposing tough moral principles. In the present study it was decided to check the training of various martial arts applied in the school environment gives you the ability to control their own aggression.Material and Methods: The study involved 28 students who training in the school environment, various martial arts, and 28 students practicing only mandatory Physical Education. The level of aggression was examined by questionnaire aggression Buss-Perry - Amity Institute.Results: The collected data showed a reduced level of total aggression, and a decrease in total aggression as a function of training experience in a group of student training in martial arts. But not all components of total aggression of training students were reducedConclusions: The training of martial arts implemented with children of school is good method, but only as a initial start of the prevention of agression in the school environment

Streszczenie
Celem pracy było opisanie stanu depresji w środowisku osób trenujących judo w sposób profesjonalny bądź zawodowy, oraz znalezienie ewentualnych związków pomiędzy depresją
a karierą sportową i funkcjonowaniem w społeczeństwie tej grupy sportowców.
Badania wykazały istotnie niższy stopień depresji w środowisku judoków, związki tego zjawiska w funkcjonowaniem społecznym oraz brak związku z jakością kariery sportowej.
Abstract
The aim of the study was to describe the level of depression in judo practitioners - (professional and recreational) and to find possible associations between depression and sports careers and the social functioning of this group of athletes.
Studies have shown a significantly lower level of depression in the judo group, and the dependence of this phenomenon with social functioning, and a lack of association depression with quality of athletic career
