Analysis of the effect of high heel shoes design components on gait ground reaction forces
This work is part of the activities driven by ADDfactor, Advanced Digital technologies and virtual engineering for mini-factories. This project has receied funding from the European Union Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) under grant agreement No. [609386].Baydal Bertomeu, JM.; Lopez Pascual, J.; Puigcerver Palau, SA.; Solves Camallonga, C.; Belda Lois, JM. Communication strategies through people-driven innovation techniques
[EN] This article explains how IBV applies People- Driven Innovation techniques in order to develop communication strategies.
Soccer players' fitting perception of different upper boot materials
[EN] The present study assessed the influence of upper boot materials on fitting perception. Twenty players tested three soccer boots only differing in the upper boot material (natural calf leather, natural kangaroo leather and synthetic leather). Players reported fitting perception and preference on specific foot areas using a perceived fitting scale. Ratings were averaged for every foot area. Repeated measures ANOVA was used to analyze the differences between boots. The kangaroo leather boots were perceived tighter and closer to the preferred fitting in general fitting, metatarsals area and instep area. The synthetic leather boots were perceived as the loosest and as the most distant boot from the preferred fitting in medial front area and instep area. In conclusion, the type of upper boot material influences the fitting perception of soccer players. The kangaroo leather was the material whose fitting was perceived closest to the players fitting preference. (C) 2016 Elsevier Ltd and The Ergonomics Society.
necesidades.
THE NORTH FACE ha contado con los
servicios del IBV para analizar el
comportamiento biomecánico de
diferentes modelos de zapatillas de
running.Nowadays, one of the most popular sports is
running. The footwear is the basic component
for running, having a big influence in the
sport performance and injury prevention.
When a runner selects a pair of running shoes
analyzes carefully the features of the diverse
models commercialized before buying the ones
that best fits his or her needs.
The North Face has counted on IBV to analyze
the biomechanical behavior of different
running footwear models
Accessibility to recreational areas is a key
aspect of quality of life of people with disa
-
bilities. In this project we have updated the
layout of the amphibious wheelchair Aquarius.
We have improved functionality, especially the
manoeuvrability on the sand. In addition the
new design results more attractive and stylish.
This project has been supported by Generalitat
Valenciana (Regional Valencian Government)
within the II Plan de Competitividad de la
Empresa Valenciana (PCEV) and has been
developed by IBV in collaboration with the
company WINNCARE by VIRMEDIC.La accesibilidad a los espacios de
ocio es un aspecto clave para la
calidad de vida de las personas
con algún tipo de discapacidad.
En este proyecto se ha realizado
una actualización del diseño de
la silla anfibia marina Aquarius.
Se ha mejorado su funcionalidad,
especialmente en la maniobrabilidad
sobre la arena, y también se
ha realizado un diseño más
atractivo y ligero. Este proyecto
