Stable two-dimensional dispersion-managed soliton
The existence of a dispersion-managed soliton in two-dimensional nonlinear
Schr\"odinger equation with periodically varying dispersion has been explored.
The averaged equations for the soliton width and chirp are obtained which
successfully describe the long time evolution of the soliton. The slow dynamics
of the soliton around the fixed points for the width and chirp are investigated
and the corresponding frequencies are calculated. Analytical predictions are
confirmed by direct PDE and ODE simulations. Application to a Bose-Einstein
condensate in optical lattice is discussed. The existence of a
dispersion-managed matter-wave soliton in such system is shown.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures, Submitted to Phys. Rev.
Exact soliton solution and inelastic two-soliton collision in spin chain driven by a time-dependent magnetic field
We investigate dynamics of exact N-soliton trains in spin chain driven by a
time-dependent magnetic field by means of an inverse scattering transformation.
The one-soliton solution indicates obviously the spin precession around the
magnetic field and periodic shape-variation induced by the time varying field
as well. In terms of the general soliton solutions N-soliton interaction and
particularly various two-soliton collisions are analyzed. The inelastic
collision by which we mean the soliton shape change before and after collision
appears generally due to the time varying field. We, moreover, show that
complete inelastic collisions can be achieved by adjusting spectrum and field
parameters. This may lead a potential technique of shape control of soliton.Comment: 5 pages, 5 figure
Entanglement of two-mode Bose-Einstein condensates
We investigate the entaglement characteristics of two general bimodal
Bose-Einstein condensates - a pair of tunnel-coupled Bose-Einstein condensates
and the atom-molecule Bose-Einstein condensate. We argue that the entanglement
is only physically meaningful if the system is viewed as a bipartite system,
where the subsystems are the two modes. The indistinguishibility of the
particles in the condensate means that the atomic constituents are physically
inaccessible and thus the degree of entanglement between individual particles,
unlike the entanglement between the modes, is not experimentally relevant so
long as the particles remain in the condensed state. We calculate the
entanglement between the modes for the exact ground state of the two bimodal
condensates and consider the dynamics of the entanglement in the tunnel-coupled

Pan-Asian adapted ESMO Clinical Practice Guidelines for the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients with renal cell carcinoma.
The most recent version of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Clinical Practice Guidelines for the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of renal cell carcinoma was published in 2019 with an update planned for 2021. It was therefore decided by both the ESMO and the Singapore Society of Oncology (SSO) to convene a special, virtual guidelines meeting in May 2021 to adapt the ESMO 2019 guidelines to take into account the ethnic differences associated with the treatment of renal cell carcinomas in Asian patients. These guidelines represent the consensus opinions reached by experts in the treatment of patients with renal cell carcinoma representing the oncological societies of China (CSCO), India (ISMPO), Japan (JSMO), Korea (KSMO), Malaysia (MOS), Singapore (SSO) and Taiwan (TOS). The voting was based on scientific evidence and was independent of the current treatment practices and drug access restrictions in the different Asian countries. The latter were discussed when appropriate
