EMEEDP: Enhanced Multi-hop Energy Efficient Distributed Protocol for Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Network
In WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) every sensor node sensed the data and
transmit it to the CH (Cluster head) or BS (Base Station). Sensors are randomly
deployed in unreachable areas, where battery replacement or battery charge is
not possible. For this reason, Energy conservation is the important design goal
while developing a routing and distributed protocol to increase the lifetime of
WSN. In this paper, an enhanced energy efficient distributed protocol for
heterogeneous WSN have been reported. EMEEDP is proposed for heterogeneous WSN
to increase the lifetime of the network. An efficient algorithm is proposed in
the form of flowchart and based on various clustering equation proved that the
proposed work accomplishes longer lifetime with improved QOS parameters
parallel to MEEP. A WSN implemented and tested using Raspberry Pi devices as a
base station, temperature sensors as a node and xively.com as a cloud. Users
use data for decision purpose or business purposes from xively.com using

Interaction of an Antituberculosis Drug with a Nanoscopic Macromolecular Assembly: Temperature-Dependent Förster Resonance Energy Transfer Studies on Rifampicin in an Anionic Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate Micelle
In this contribution, we report studies on the nature of binding of a potent antituberculosis drug, Rifampicin (RF) with a model drug delivery system, sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) micelle. Temperature dependent dynamic light scattering (DLS), conductometry, and circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy have been employed to study the binding interaction of the drug with the micelle. The absorption spectrum of the drug RF in the visible region has been employed to study Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) from another fluorescent drug Hoechst 33258 (H33258), bound to the micelle. Picosecond-resolved FRET studies at room temperature confirm the simultaneous binding of the two drugs to the micelle and the distance between the donor−acceptor pair is found to be 34 Å. The temperature dependent FRET study also confirms that the location and efficiency of drug binding to the micelle changes significantly at the elevated temperature. The energy transfer efficiency of the donor H33258, as measured from time-resolved studies, decreases significantly from 76% at 20 °C to 60% at 55 °C. This reveals detachment of some amount of the drug molecules from the micelles and increased donor−acceptor distance at elevated temperatures. The estimated donor−acceptor distance increases from a value of 33 Å at 20 °C to 37 Å at 55 °C. The picosecond resolved FRET studies on a synthesized DNA bound H33258 in RF solution have been performed to explore the interaction between the two. Our studies are expected to find relevance in the exploration of a potential vehicle for the vital drug rifampicin
Social Media for Informal Learning: a Case of #Twitterstorians
Open, online environments like social media are now a mainstay of life-long informal learning. Social media like Twitter help people gather information, share resources, and discuss with other participant-learners with similar interests. This paper seeks to test and validate the ‘learning in the wild’ coding schema in the context of discussions on Twitter, an approach first developed for studying learning communities on Reddit. The schema considers how participant-learners are leveraging social media to facilitate self-directed informal learning practices, exploratory dialogue, and communicative exchanges. We apply the coding schema on a sample of tweets (n=594) from the History Twittersphere community (#Twitterstorians) to provide a more nuanced understanding of the different kinds of discursive practices, resource exchanges, and ideas being shared and communicated outside traditional classroom settings
Exclusion and Articulation: Transgender Counter-Public in the Indian Public Sphere
The study attempts to locate transgender counter-public as an alternate public sphere in India. It argues that transgender counter-public is necessitated owing to the exclusionary practices of the Indian public sphere as well as the successive counter-public spheres. The study, further claims that transgender counter-public is constructed by critiquing the marginalisation of transgender people through exclusionary practices, and articulation of concerns linked to transgender people. Public discourse analysis of both discursive arenas—print: newspaper articles, journal articles, autobiographies, biographies, memoir, and others, and non-discursive arenas—activism, pride parade, protests and alike have been adopted as methodology. The study concludes that transgender counter-public achieves the dissemination of their concerns to the wider public that exclusion and discrimination of transgender people are a denial of social justice in the democratic social structure
Management of idiopathic clubfoot by Ponseti’s method: a comparative clinical study on toddlers with radiological correlation
Background: In developed countries, many children with clubfoot undergo extensive corrective surgery, often with disturbing failures and complications. The need for one or more revision surgeries is common. Although the foot looks better after surgery, it is stiff, weak, and often painful. Non-operative treatment of clubfoot provides a lower complication rate, less pain, and higher function as the patient ages. Lack of information regarding reasons for adherence to the regimen makes it difficult for health providers and health planners to determine the impact of treatments on health status or weigh the cost/benefit ratio for prescribing costly treatments to the patients. Therefore, it is important to understand how parents and health care givers manage their children’s treatment and the potential barriers these parents encounter during the utilization of clubfoot treatment services. It is important to determine the compliance of patients to clubfoot correction treatment in order to identify and target factors that may positively or negatively influence cases attending the clinic.Methods: 25 cases with clubfoot were studied in the Department of Orthopaedics, Katihar Medical College. Out of these, 13 cases (Group A) were children over 1 year of age with neglected clubfoot and 12 cases (Group B) were children under one year of age with idiopathic clubfoot.Results: The Ponseti method delivers excellent correction of clubfoot without the associated risks and complications of major foot surgery. Patients treated with Ponseti’s method have leverage in treatment of clubfoot than those treated by other conservative methods. The method provides more flexible foot and ankle than those treated surgically.Conclusions: Treatment of clubfoot if commenced early will have better result. Children of age less than 1 year respond better than children of older age group. Younger children require fewer correction casts

In this article researchers will explain about Business Judgment Rule and how it can be used as a defence by the directors’ of the corporation. In simple language it can be said that the “Business judgment rule” is nothing but a judicially evolved doctrine derived out of case laws in the field of corporate laws. This doctrine has its origin in USA followed by U.K. The rule is in use in some form or the other in the common law countries e.g. whales, Australia, Canada, India &c. Australia has codified this rule under sec.1180(2) Corporations Act 2001, in South Africa Companies Act 71 of 200 section 76(4) provides for director’s duty to work towards best interest of the business with due care, skill and diligence, in India section 166(2) of Companies Act, 2013 requires that for the benefit of different constituencies of a company a director must act bona fide to promote the object of the company. The Business Judgment Rule tries to protect the directors of the company by creating a safe harbour for those who works for the betterment and interest of the corporations in an honest manner and in good faith. The scope of the paper is restricted to mainly US decisions, which has seen the greatest development in interpreting cases, though certain important landmarks in the Indian and UK context have also been referred to. This paper studies industrial elimination of women, prolong industrial patriarchy, impetuous production, rising demand pressure has added to the quadrupling problems of land degradation, disposal of over burden/waste discharge, deforestation, pollution(air, water, and noise), and damage to forest flora and fauna, occupational health hazards and extreme global environmental damage in a rapid, continuous manner. These continuous and multi-layered problems are giving us reason to re-visioning steps, where we went wrong.
Theoretical foundation of eco-feminism traces that negligence and suppression of women in general and in the mining industry, is one of the probable cause that hit environment fiercely. With this in mind, this paper suggests theory of eco-feminism into male centric mining industry as a perspective which is more likely to lead to industrial sustainability, making it more responsible and may provide pro-environmental solutions to the industry. Malaria detection using Deep Convolution Neural Network
The latest WHO report showed that the number of malaria cases climbed to 219
million last year, two million higher than last year. The global efforts to
fight malaria have hit a plateau and the most significant underlying reason is
international funding has declined. Malaria, which is spread to people through
the bites of infected female mosquitoes, occurs in 91 countries but about 90%
of the cases and deaths are in sub-Saharan Africa. The disease killed 4,35,000
people last year, the majority of them children under five in Africa. AI-backed
technology has revolutionized malaria detection in some regions of Africa and
the future impact of such work can be revolutionary. The malaria Cell Image
Data-set is taken from the official NIH Website NIH data. The aim of the
collection of the dataset was to reduce the burden for microscopists in
resource-constrained regions and improve diagnostic accuracy using an AI-based
algorithm to detect and segment the red blood cells. The goal of this work is
to show that the state of the art accuracy can be obtained even by using 2
layer convolution network and show a new baseline in Malaria detection efforts
using AI
