Today’s generation is based on automation and demanding fastest response. In power system many expensive component is used. The underground link is one of the vital part in electrical framework. Due to some reasons fault occurs in underground cable. Since it is hard to discover the correct area of that blame, the primary point of this venture is to decide the right separation of underground link blame from base station in kilometers. In existing system different microcontrollers 8051 series are used. The proposed framework is to locate the correct area of the blame in underground link by utilizing PIC microcontroller 18F4520.In this project we are used the concept of Ohms law that is at the point when a low DC voltage is connected at the feeder end through an arrangement resistor implies Cable lines, then current would change contingent on the area of blame in the link. On the off chance that there is a short out (Line to Ground), the voltage crosswise over arrangement resistors changes as needs be, which is then encouraged to an ADC to create exact advanced information which the modified in PIC small scale controller would show in kilometers

Variations of Lung Fissures: A Cadaveric Study

    Get PDF
Background: The presence of fissures in the normal lungs enhances uniform expansion and hence facilitates more air intake. Accessory and incomplete fissures of varying depth can be seen in unusual locations of the lung, delimiting abnormal lobes which correspond to the normal bronchopulmonary segments. The knowledge of anatomical variations of lung fissures is essential for clinicians, surgeons, and for radiologist for recognizing various images of related abnormalities because an accessory or anomalous fissure can be mistaken for a lung lesion or an atypical appearance of pleural effusion. Aims and Objectives: The aim of the present study is to observe the variations of lung fissures in Indian population. Fifty pairs (right- 50; left- 50) of lungs were used for this study. Each lung was studied carefully for number of fissures whether complete or incomplete or absent. Presences of accessory fissures were noted. Results: We observed complete absence of fissures in two right and left lungs. Accessory fissures were present in 38% right lungs and 32% in left lungs. Conclusion: Incidence of absence of oblique fissure and accessory fissure was greater in our present work when compared our results with other authors. Considering this we feel that more elaborative study should be done on this topic which will throw more light on this

The result - A total of 1057 articles were published in 60 different journals and 756 patents in the area of research under various jurisdictions. The top-cited article has 119 scholarly articles citations as well as 19 cited patents. The machine learning analysis is implemented at the testing level for image evaluation in a few articles and to the parameter monitoring of the process in other few articles. The present analysis provides the trend in the area of Plasma Electrolytic Micro-oxidation (PEMO)coating and areas of patentability

Management of developmental anomalies in maxillary lateral incisors: A case series

    No full text
Talons cusp and palate-radicular groove are commonly occurring developmental anomalies in permanent maxillary lateral incisors. These anomalies present with various esthetic and functional complications that require prophylactic and definitive treatment plans. It is essential to have a thorough knowledge of these anomalies for their correct diagnosis and successful management. This case series presents etiology and various treatment modalities for the management of these commonly occurring developmental anomalies in the maxillary lateral incisors

Intrusion Detection and Prevention System in Multitier Web Application Using Double guard

Web application is an application that is accessed over a network such as the Internet. They are increasingly used for critical services, In order to adopt with increase in demand and data complexity web application are moved to multitier Design. As web servers must be publicly available around the clock the server is an easy target for outside intruders. Thus web applications are become a popular and valuable target for security attacks. These attacks have recently become more diverse and attention of an attacker have been shifted from attacking the front-end and exploiting vulnerabilities of the web applications in order to corrupt the back-end database system. In order to penetrate their targets, attackers may exploit well known service vulnerabilities. To protect multi-tier web applications several intrusion detection systems has been proposed. An intrusion detection system (IDS) is used to detect potential violations in database security. In every database, some of the attributes are considered more sensitive to malicious modifications compared to others

Characteristics of Falls Among the Elderly During the COVID-19 Pandemic Lockdown: Covid-19 falls among elderly

    No full text
Background: Every year millions of older people experience a fall. There are many reasons associated as to why a fall occurs in elderly: musculoskeletal weakness, balance issues etc. A fall can lead to a serious injury or mortality depending on the type and impact of the fall. As the environment for the elderly was restricted to their homes during the Covid-19 pandemic, this study aimed at assessing the characteristics of falls during the pandemic. Materials and methods: 60 elderly individuals aging 60 years and above participated in the study. This included 36.7% males and 63.3% females. A pre-validated questionnaire was used to assess the characteristics of falls. Result: Fear of fall was not experienced or was same as before the lockdown however the fall percentage decreased by 7% during the lockdown. Conclusion: Falls among the elderly decreased during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown

Investigation of microstructural and wear behavior of Al6061 surface composites fabricated by friction stir process using Taguchi approach

    No full text
The surface composites of aluminum alloys have a higher scope of applications encountering surface interactions in the aerospace, automobile, and other industries compared to the base aluminum alloys. The friction stir process (FSP) is recently the preferred method to prepare aluminum-based surface composites due to its capability to produce improved physical properties and refined microstructure at the surface. The study examines the Al6061 alloy-based surface composite fabricated by FSP for their wear behavior and microstructure. In this study, the Al6061 alloy-based hybrid surface composites are prepared with varying weight% of copper and graphite microparticles mixture as reinforcement by FSP with two tools having unique pin profiles, i.e., threaded cylindrical and plain cylindrical. These prepared composites are investigated for the dry sliding wear test on a pin-on-disc test set-up. The experiments are designed using the L9 orthogonal array and analyzed by the Taguchi approach to obtain the influence of disc speed, load, and reinforcement weight% on wear rate. The significant parameters influencing the wear rate of the samples tested are obtained using ANOVA. Later the effects of the friction stir process and the wear tests on the microstructure of the workpieces are investigated using FE-SEM/EDS tests. It is concluded that the decrease in wear rate with the rise in reinforcement weight% (Cu + graphite) from 2% to 6%. The load has the maximum effect on the wear rate for the samples prepared by threaded cylindrical FSP tool pin profile, while reinforcement weight% affects significantly the wear rate of the samples prepared by FSP with plain cylindrical pin profile tool

Management of self-inflicted dental injuries with various nonsurgical techniques: Case series

    No full text
Children have a common habit of exploring carious or traumatically exposed teeth using various foreign objects such as metal screws, staple pins, darning needles, pencil leads, beads, paper clip, and toothpicks, which may sometimes break inside the pulp chamber or root canal. Majority of such cases are asymptomatic and hence diagnosed accidentally on routine radiographic examination. However, embedded foreign objects may sometimes act as a potential source of infection and are convoyed with pain or recurrent swelling. Dentists must be aware of the self-inflicted dental injury, its consequences, and selection of the all-inclusive treatment strategies giving due consideration to cost-benefit ratio of the different treatment options. This case series highlights the possible dental consequences of placing foreign objects in the mouth and various management strategies. Four cases of self-inflicted dental injuries involving patients aged 10–20 years are presented and investigated from the endodontic, pedodontic, and psychiatric viewpoints. In all cases, the cause has been easily identified by clinical appearance corroborated with a good history. This paper discusses a nonsurgical technique to retrieve these objects from the root canal with minimal damage to internal tooth structure
