Research on the Influence of Ultrasonic Vibrations on Paint Coating Properties

    Get PDF
The article describes the application of ultrasonic vibrations to the preparation of paint before the coating process. Ultrasonic processing decreases the viscosity of the paint and the size of its particles. Changing the properties of the paint has a positive influence on the parameters of torch spraying. The results of using ultrasound during the preparation of the paint before the coating process are improved properties of the coating in comparison with those of the coating applied by using the paint without the application of ultrasound

Monolithic InGaAs nanowire array lasers on silicon-on-insulator operating at room temperature

Chip-scale integrated light sources are a crucial component in a broad range of photonics applications. III–V semiconductor nanowire emitters have gained attention as a fascinating approach due to their superior material properties, extremely compact size, and capability to grow directly on lattice-mismatched silicon substrates. Although there have been remarkable advances in nanowire-based emitters, their practical applications are still in the early stages due to the difficulties in integrating nanowire emitters with photonic integrated circuits. Here, we demonstrate for the first time optically pumped III–V nanowire array lasers monolithically integrated on silicon-on-insulator (SOI) platform. Selective-area growth of InGaAs/InGaP core/shell nanowires on an SOI substrate enables the nanowire array to form a photonic crystal nanobeam cavity with superior optical and structural properties, resulting in the laser to operate at room temperature. We also show that the nanowire array lasers are effectively coupled with SOI waveguides by employing nanoepitaxy on a prepatterned SOI platform. These results represent a new platform for ultracompact and energy-efficient optical links and unambiguously point the way toward practical and functional nanowire lasers

Diffusion bonding of TiC or TiB reinforced Ti–6Al–4V matrix composites to conventional Ti–6Al–4V alloy

    Get PDF
The diffusion bonding of conventional alloy Ti–6Al–4V (Ti-64) and composites of this alloy with 10% of TiC or TiB fabricated using blended elemental powder metallurgy was successfully carried out at 850–1000°C, with a holding time of 60 min under 0.7–1.5 MPa pressure. The metallographic and electron backscattered diffraction studies as well as the bending and microhardness tests across the bonds are presented as the evidence of joint integrity. The selected experimental parameters do not cause undesirable structural changes (degradation) in the base metals adjacent to the bond interface. Particle reinforcement at ∼10% did not appear to modify bonding parameters when compared to the unreinforced Ti-64 alloy

Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of rebamipide. New possibilities of therapy: A review

    Get PDF
The MedLine database contains 570 publications, including 71 randomized clinical trials and 6 meta-analyses on the rebamipide molecule in 2022. Indications for the use of rebamipide are gastric ulcer, chronic gastritis with hyperacidityin the acute stage, erosive gastritis, prevention of damage to the gastrointestinal mucosa while taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, eradication of Helicobacter pylori. Currently trials are studying the efficacy and safety of the drug in gouty and rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, Sjgren's syndrome, bronchial asthma, vitiligo, atherosclerosis, diseases of the kidneys and liver; using in traumatology to accelerate bone regeneration; in ophthalmology to improve the regeneration of corneal epithelium; in oncology to reduce inflammatory changes in the oral mucosa after chemoradiotherapy. The review article is about the main pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic characteristics of rebamipide. A detailed understanding of pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics allows for individual selection of therapy based on the characteristics of the patient's body gender, age, comorbidities; choose the optimal route of administration and dosing regimen; predict adverse effects and drug interactions; be determined with new clinical indications

Neutron data field in a fission reactor core with fusion neutron source at pulse-periodic operation

    Get PDF
Results are presented on the distinctive features of the energy release dynamics in the hybrid thorium reactor operating in combination with the neutron source based on the extended magnetic mirror trap. In the reactor core configuration under study, the high-temperature plasma column is formed in a pulse-periodic mode. At a certain duty cycle (pulse ratio) of the plasma column formation, it can be expected that the fission "wave" will be formed diverging from the axial region of the system and propagating in the radial direction in the fuel assembly (blanket). Under such conditions, in order to correct the resulting offset of the energy release distribution, it is necessary to optimize the fuel composition of the assembly in order to obtain the most appropriate radial distributions of physical parameters. The studies are carried out on the basis of the full-scale model of the reactor core, in which the axial region is modified: the extended magnetic mirror trap operating as a source of fusion neutrons is installed in the reactor core axial region

«MATERIALISM AND EMPIRIO-CRITICISM» BY V.I.LENIN AS THE MAIN RUSSIAN LANGUAGE POLEMICAL TEXT OF THE 1900S

In this article the author shows the complicated situation determined the conflict in Russian philosophical society at the beginning of the twentieth century. A.A.Bogdanov and V.I.Lenin, the leaders of the Bolsheviks, were involved in the long-lasted polemics. Simultaneously the Materialists had to defend their theory from the constant attacks of the Machists. Monograph «Materialism and Empirio-Criticism» is the main reflection of this speech situation. V.I.Lenin wished to explain philosophic contradictions and to prove prosperity of his approach therefore you can find a great number of polemical methods in his text. Analysis of «Materialism and Empirio-Criticism»’s fragments helps the readers to appreciate V.I.Lenin’s polemical art. For linguists, orators, politicians, post-graduates and students.</font
