THE ACTIVITIES OF ENGLISH TEACHING AND LEARNING TO THE FOURTH GRADE STUDENTS IN SDN SERENAN 1 KLATEN

This final project is written based on the job training which has been done from January until February, 2010. The objectives of this final project report are to describe the activities in English teaching and learning of the fourth grade students in SDN Serenan 1 Klaten, to know the problems of English teaching activities faced by English teacher and to find out the solutions to solve the problems. The data were collected by observing class and interviewing the English teacher and the fourth grade students. The writer used handbook from the school to teach the students and the book is, “Kreatif Berbahasa Inggris” p ublished by Saudara. There were five steps in the activity of English teaching and learning, namely: warming up, presentation, skill practices, closing and assessment. During the process of English teaching and learning, the writer faced some problems, such as the difficulties of the students in memorizing English words, the problems of students in writing and pronouncing English, classroom management, and limited facilities. However, there are some solutions to solve the problem, namely: using pictures and games and adding more facilities. The result of this final project report is that pictures can catch the students’ attention, makes they focus and interesting more on the lesson, and help the students understand the material easier. Persepsi Pemustaka Terhadap Layanan Sirkulasi di Perpustakaan Universitas Hasanuddin Fakultas Teknik Gowa

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1.bahwa layanan sirkulasi yang ada di Perpustakaan Universitas Hasanuddin Fakultas Teknik Gowa ini wajib memiliki kartu anggota perpustakaan dan ktm jika ingin meminjam atau mengembalikan bahan pustaka, kartu ini sebagai bukti bahwa pengunjung yang datang untuk meminjam bagian dari mahasiswa Universitas Hasanuddin Fakultas Teknik Gowa dan sistem layanan sirkulasi masih menggunakan secara manual atau tulis tangan. 2.persepsi pemustaka terhadap layanan sirkulasi menurut pemustaka yaitu suatu kegiatan atau tempat untuk peminjaman atau pengembalian bahan koleksi dan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan informasi yang ada di Perpustakaan Universitas Hasanuddin Fakultas Teknik Gowa

A DESCRIPTIVE STUDY ON THE TYPES OF LEARNING ACTIVITIES IN THE TENTH GRADE AT SMK N 6 SURAKARTA IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2013/2014

This study is intended to (1) describe the types of learning activities in the tenth grade of at SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta in the academic year of 2013/2014, (2) describe the types of accuracy activities the teacher used, (3) describe the types of fluency activities the teacher used, and (4) describe whether the activities on fluency used is in line with the principles of communicative language teaching. This study focuses on the description of the learning activities appropriateness based on qualitative data. The data are analyzed using interactive model proposed by Miles and Huberman which covers data reduction, data display, drawing conclusion and verification. The research findings show that; (1) the learning activities in the tenth grade at SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta in the academic year of 2013/2014 is communicative learning activities. (2) the activities on accuracy used are pronunciation drill and vocabulary practice. (3) the accuracy activities used are grammar explanation, pronunciation drill, and vocabulary practice, (4)the fluency activities used are in line with meaning focused, easy task and quantity of practice principle and not all the activities used fulfill pressure to go faster than normal principle. It is suggested to the teacher to consider about detail time allocation in every activity and be more firm in giving instruction during the lesson.
