Background: The main objectives of this study were to examine - (1) relationship of pregnancy-related factors (maternal age, gestational diabetes mellitus, pregnancy-induced hypertension, oligohydramnios, small for gestational age (GA), and fetal gender) and postnatally measured umbilical coiling index (UCI); (2) association of UCI and cord twist directions with the following adverse perinatal outcomes, meconium staining of amniotic fluid, non-reassuring FHR on CTG, low Apgar score ( 34 weeks. The cases were categorized in hypocoiled (UCI 90th percentile) and normocoiled groups. To study relationship of pregnancy-related factors and UCI multivariate logistic regression was used; whereas bivariate analysis was used to study impact of UCI on various adverse perinatal outcomes. UCI was measured by a single observer. Results: In total, 100 subjects were enrolled. The mean UCI was 0.268 (SD = 0.13; 10th percentile = 0.139; 90th percentile =0.410) coils/cm. Pregnancy-related factors had non-significant relationship with UCI. For adverse perinatal outcomes, only the non-reassuring/abnormal FHR patterns were significantly associated with hypercoiled groups (OR = 4.5; CI= 1.15-17.58). Both the cord directions had almost equal distribution without any significant difference in outcomes; however, anticlockwise twisted cords were found to have significantly high UCI.Conclusions: No significant relationship was observed with pregnancy-related factors and UCI. However, it was observed that hypercoiled cords had significant association with non-reassuring/abnormal FHR patterns on CTG

The most countries try to improve their advantage towards goods with high range of demand and sustainable trade such as industrial goods and merchandise. India embarked on the path of globalization in the early 1990s with the objective to attain a higher growth profile. This question can be brought up in which goods India has have comparative adventage. The aim of this study is to analyze comparative advantages of Indian's exports commodities during of post liberalsation in 1990-2014. The well-known index for determining trade advantage is revealed comparative advantage (RCA) by Balasa. The findings by India’s RCA in exports showed India has gained comparative advantage in a number of agriculture sector such as Food items, Textiles, Leather and other Manufactures.  &nbsp

Background: Pregabalin is a novel drug used as an adjunct to multimodal analgesia for reducing post-operative pain. We aimed to compare the efficacy and side effects of two different pre-emptive doses of pregabalin (75 mg vs. 150 mg) for attenuation of postoperative pain following laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Materials and Methods: This was a prospective randomized study where 70 patients planned for elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) were enrolled and received a pre-emptive dose of oral pregabalin. Group A received 75 mg and Group B received 150 mg of Pregabalin (PGB) 1 hour before surgery. Assessment of static and dynamic pain was done at 0, 0-4, 4-8, 8-12, 12-16, 16-24 hours post-surgery using Visual Analog Scale (VAS) Score. Adverse effects like postoperative nausea and vomiting (0-6 hr), headache, sedation, and respiratory depression (0-24 hr) were assessed at regular intervals. Results: There was no significant difference in static and dynamic pain perception at different timed intervals between the two groups. Even the total analgesic requirement in both groups was comparable. The incidence of Postoperative Nausea Vomiting (PONV) (p-value 0.04 ) and headache (P-value 0.034) were statistically significant in Group B when compared to Group A. Conclusion: Preemptive PGB (75 mg) had a lesser incidence of PONV and headache. Therefore, from our results, we can conclude that a lower dose of PGB has lesser adverse effects, although the analgesic effects are comparable

The study aims to determine if academicians from professional colleges use SNS  to determine an association between demographic variables and factors. Variables and factors such as the purpose of SNS use, benefits of using SNS, improvement in factors of academic performance, challenges faced by academicians, and benefits of SNS in research work. The research method has used a survey with a questionnaire. The questionnaires were distributed to the academicians in selected professional colleges in and around Pune city, and responses were collected. The study observed that most faculties from professional colleges have accounts and are familiar with different SNS. It gives the ranking of SNS by Garrett’s Ranking Technique as per the personal and academic use of SNS by academicians. Academicians get various benefits from using SNS, whereas they also face some challenges while using SNS. It is discussed with percentage analysis. Using ANOVA and PAIRED SAMPLE “t” TEST found a significant association between the Demographic variables and the factors under usage of Social Networking Sites. The factors especially considered towards satisfaction using Social Networking Sites by the academicians were analyzed using multiple regression analysis.https://dorl.net/dor/20.1001.1.20088302.2021.19.2.10.

Nanotechnology deals with manipulation of matter at atomic and molecular level. A general description for nanotechnology is provided by National Nanotechnology Initiative, that defines nanotechnology as the manipulation of matter with at least one dimension is  around 1-100 nanometer. The major application of modern nanotechnology in future would be creation of biological chips which include organ-on-chip, human-on-chip, and lab-on-chip. The world needs easy, readily accessible health care for which one of the solutions would be lab-on-chip. A lab-on-chip is a device that consists of several laboratory functions on single chip of only few millimeters to centimeter in size. Apart from health care a major problem to be addressed is the drug development for out raging diseases where many drugs fail on human trial, for such problems the boon given by nanotechnology is the organ-on-chip and human-on-chip. These chips are multichannel 3D micro fluidic cell culture chips which mimics the organs environment and its interaction within the cells. This would help us to understand the human physiology with respect to each organ thus avoiding the testing of new drugs on animals and the drugs toxicity tests on them. Although the concept is still in infancy stage many initiative are taken to improve this technology as this could replace the already existing traditional technology that is time and cost consuming
