Grynops verstegii is a non-timber forest product commodity that has a very high economic value. People know this tree as the agarwood tree. In Lombok, the Beringin provenance is one of the leading provenances, so it is very important to conserve its germplasm. This study aims to find alternatives for gaharu development through seed production using in vitro culture techniques. This research was carried out in July 2021 at the Tissue Culture Unit of the Immunobiology Laboratory, University of Mataram. In this experiment there were 8 media treatments with different concentrations of BAP (Ssitokini) and NAA (auxin). The results showed that callus growth occurred on MS 1, MS 3, MS 4, MS 6, and MS 7 media. However, the best growth was obtained in MS 1 treatment with a combination of 1.0 ppm BAP and 0.5 ppm NAA. While most of the samples experienced browning and contamination

PERANCANGAN DAN REALISASI TUNABLE BANDPASS FILTER PADA FREKUENSI L-BAND

    Get PDF

Good corporate governance in cooperatives organization: Lesson learn from Indonesia

    Get PDF
Governance is a set of compliance principles that are now being applied to all types of companies, including non-bank financial corporations such as cooperatives. A cooperative is a national institution based on the principle of mutual cooperation that collects funds from the community and channels them back into the community. Governance has five main principles: transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, and fairness and equality. This research aims to analyze the existing good corporate governance at cooperative organizations in East Lombok, Indonesia. The results of this research show that the principle of responsibility is the most widely implemented principle by the cooperatives in East Lombok, namely 67.75%. According to the principle of fairness and equality, an average of 48% of the cooperatives have undergone fair cooperation between each existing stakeholder. Then in third place is the principle of independence, with an average of 44.25%. The findings also demonstrate that 41% of cooperatives in East Lombok operate transparently, allowing all members, administrators, supervisors, and employees to access financial and non-financial information. The lowest figure is in accountability; that is, only 35.5% of the cooperatives have clarity of the functioning of the structure, system, and responsibility in its enforcement. The results of this study show that cooperatives in East Lombok have a good corporate governance system of only 59.12%. This is not a high value, so the cooperative in East Lombok should improve the good governance of cooperatives according to its principles

Identification of Morphological Characters and Time of Mitotic Musa Paradisiaca cv. Haji

    Get PDF
Musa paradisiaca cv Haji is a local banana of Lombok that has a longer shelf life. The determination of the haji banana genome still uses a scoring method based on morphological character. Clarification of ploidy levels and genome types can be done using chromosome analysis. The initial information needed to perform the karyotype analysis is identifying the cleavage time of M. paradisiaca cv Haji. Banana Haji on the island of Lombok has a different local name, so morphological identification of the haji banana accession is required. Morphological observations were conducted on three accessions of Haji bananas from different cultivation sites. Identification of the time of mitosis cleavage is made by the Squash method. The results showed a uniform synapomorphic character in the haji banana accession. The characters include the aspects of pseudostem (normal), shiny pseudostem, imbricate young bractea (young bractea slightly stacked), red inner bractea, straight ovary, and no pigmentation on the stylus. The autapomorphic character of Haji banana accession in this study included inside the pseudostem of the red-green, the position of horizontal fruit bunches, a fair amount of wax on the surface of the lower leaf, and the petiole of the lower leaf in pink. There are morphological character differences in Haji cultivar accession on pseudostem color and tepal color pigmentation. The time of mitosis division in Haji bananas, especially the prophase stage - metaphase from 06.38 - 07.38 Wita. The results obtained in this study can be used as a foundation to conduct karyotype analysis of Musa paradisisaca cv Haji.

Condition of Coral Diversity in Kuta Mandalika Coastal, Central Lombok Regency

    Get PDF
Development and operational activities in KEK Mandalika can increase sedimentation of waters caused by erosion of construction material activities, this have an impact on coral reef ecosystems. Coral reef ecosystems have several important roles in support life of various aquatic organisms, Damage to the coral reef ecosystem directly and indirectly, sooner or later will threaten the sustainability of the use of these resources (social economy) and the safety of the community. Observations were conducted in KEK Mandalika coastal at 6 observation points less than 10 m. The results showed that the highest percentage of live coral cover was found in Kuta Mandalika coastal at PIT 4 area (30%, damaged category, moderate status). While the lowest percentage of coverage was at PIT 5, which was 2% (damaged category, bad status). Overall the percentage of coral cover in the Kuta Mandalika area is included in the damaged category. One of the reasons is because at the lowest tide on the beach, the volume of water is very small so that many hard corals are exposed to solar radiation. This limits the types of hard corals that can grow in the intertidal zone of Mandalika coastal. Genus diversity at this location is low, ranging from 0.0782 to 0.1288. Several genera of the Nephtheidae family dominate the observation sites and form colonies of the same genus with a fairly large distribution. The average value of environmental parameter measurements in the Mandalika coastal is included in the good category for soft coral habitat and growth

The Effectiveness of CO2 Absorption Between Phytoplankton and Seagrass Beds in The West Sekotong Intertidal Zone of Lombok Island

    Get PDF
The increasing sea surface temperature could be approved CO2 levels on the coast. It has been assumed the primary productivity in the intertidal zone was to absorb CO2 from the water column for photosynthesis. In addition, the substrate floor has a potential source of CO2 from decomposers. Phytoplankton and seagrasses are the primary productivity in the intertidal zone. Both of them have chlorophyll, they maintain the CO2 as a carbon source to move the photosynthetic systems to develop the metabolism of the body's cells. The measurements were made of the leaves and rhizomes of all the seagrass species. The absorption process was clarified by measuring the growth rate, percent LOI, and percent carbon in the whole body of the Tetraselmis sp and Dunaliella sp, which were phytoplankton species isolated from seagrass ecosystems. Enhalus acoroides (Ea) had the highest carbon content.  On the other hand, Halophila ovalis and Halophila minor are the lowest carbon due to the distribution of Ea being the widest, they were found in all of the sampling areas. In addition, the factor that was supported was due to its high growth rate ability. Phytoplankton and seagrass on the coast of Sekotong Barat absorb CO2 in the water column and floor of the sediment (carbon sink). The presence of a different increase in carbon content between Tetrasemis sp and Dunaliella sp indicates, the species of phytoplankton respond differently to CO2 stress in the ocean

    Get PDF
An exessive use of inorganic fertilizers in agriculture cultivation system causes many disadventages, such as increase cost production, reduce farmerââ¬â¢s income and soil fertility, and harm our environment. Therefore, it is needed to find out raw materials for development of organic biostimulant and biofertilizer inducing essential element absorption, growth and yield of plants, which are adaptive to our environment as well. Previous researchres reported that seaweed contained plant growth hormones and essential elements in liquid and solid extracts respectively. This article reports effect of solid and liquid extracts of Sargassum cristafolium on growth and yield of rice plants. The extracts were extracted according to modified procedure.. Solid extract (350 gr) of Sargassum cristafolium was mixed with soil (6650 gr) to become 7 kg soil media. Moreover, liquid extract (10%) of Sargassum cristafolium was sprayed to rice plants once a week during vegetative growth. The results shown that addition of 350 gr of solid extract to soil media increased growth (plant high, tiller number, shoot dry weight and root dry weight) and yield (penicle number and grain weight per plants) significantly compared with those of plants which were not supplied with solid extract. However, spraying liquid extract of Sargassum cristafolium did not affet significantly growth and yield of rice plants, even small change happen in growth and yield parameters of the rice plants supplied with solid extract. This indicates that solid extract is a potential source for development of biofertilizer which is adaptive to our environment to support sustainable agriculture system
