Sequences of differential operators: exponentials, hypercyclicity and equicontinuity
In this paper, an eigenvalue criterion for hypercyclicity due to the first author is improved. As a consequence, some new sufficient conditions for a sequence of infinite order linear differential operators to be hypercyclic on the space of holomorphic functions on certain domains of C N are shown. Moreover, several necessary conditions are furnished. The equicontinuity of a family of operators as before is also studied, and it is even characterized if the domain is C N. The results obtained extend or improve earlier work of several authors.Dirección General de Enseñanza Superior (DGES). EspañaJunta de Andalucí
U-operators
Inspired by a statement of W. Luh asserting the existence of entire functions having together with all their derivatives and antiderivatives
some kind of additive universality or multiplicative universality on certain compact subsets of the complex plane or of, respectively, the punctured complex plane, we introduce in this paper the new concept of U-operators, which are defined on the space of entire functions. Concrete examples, including differential and antidifferential operators, composition, multiplication and shift operators, are studied. A result due to Luh, Martirosian and Müller about the existence of universal entire functions with gap power series is also strengthened.Plan Andaluz de Investigación (Junta de Andalucía
Distant Star, a Novel Made to be Seen
The following article analyzes the visual strategies present in
the novel Distant Star, by Roberto Bolaño, as built from a described
visual appearance, at times ecphrastic, and displayed,
on one hand, in the shape of scenes and expositions and, on
the other, as photographic and cinematographic images. In
either case, the characters are forced to take their place as observers,
witnesses or spectators. Thus, it is from this visual or
visible presence in the novel in which the gaze plays a fundamental
role, that certain crossovers between image and text are
established, conceived as political and cultural tensions.http://revistahumanidades.unab.cl/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Art%C3%ADculo-ESTRELLA-DISTANTE...-Luis-Valenzuela.-p%C3%A1gs-109-128.pd

Patriarchy and machismo: Political, economic and social effects on women
This thesis focuses on patriarchy and machismo and the long lasting political, economic, and social effects that their practice has had on women in the United States and Latin America. It examines the role of the Catholic Church, political influences, social, cultural, economic and legal issues, historic issues (such as the Industrial Revolution), the importance of the family\u27s preference for sons rather than daughters, and the differences in the raising of male and female children for their adult roles
Evaluation of dietary intake using the e-EPIDEMIOLOGY app: comparison with a food frequency questionnaire in a sample of workers
The article examines the State’s arms trade monopoly in New Granada in the first half of the nineteenth century as part of the official regime’s policy of exclusive use of force and legitimate violence. Although the goal of the authorities was to keep control over warfare materials, when they promoted the organization of the National Guards in parish districts, they had to distribute arms among the militiamen in order to uphold law and order, as well as discipline in the companies. In addition, the wars of Independence and the civilian conflicts contributed to a wider dispersion of these warfare materials, which ended up in the hands of groups who were challenging the State.El artículo estudia el monopolio de las armas del Estado de la Nueva Granada en la primera mitad del siglo XIX, como parte de la política de uso exclusivo de la fuerza y la violencia legítima del régimen oficial. Evaluation of the Early Establishment Phase of \u3cem\u3eAgropyron desertorum\u3c/em\u3e, \u3cem\u3eMedicago sativa\u3c/em\u3e and \u3cem\u3eAtriplex canescens\u3c/em\u3e in Monocultures and Mixtures
This study evaluated the early establishment phase of various monocultures and mixed species plantings of Agropyron desertorum (AGDE), Medicago sativa (MESA), and Atriplex canescens (ATCA). The study was conducted under both greenhouse and field conditions. In the green-house, the experimental design was a split-plot, randomized-block design in time, using transplanted seedlings. The treatments were exposed to three water levels to determine species response to varying moisture availability. Plastic pots of 15.4 cm (diameter) by 17.9 cm (depth) were filled with 2,800 g of sandy-loam soil and brought to field capacity. The pots were weighted twice weekly and the water lost to evapotranspiration was replaced. The plants were measured for plant height on six occasions at two week intervals. On the last measurement date, plants were harvested for above-and-below ground biomass.
The field used the species treatment as in the greenhouse study and these were hand sown in 1 m2 plots. Using a line-source sprinkler system, species responses at four water levels were examined. Soil water content in the various field plots was determined at various depths via access tubes and a neutron soil moisture probe. The experimental design was a split-plot design in time. Seedling emergence was recorded daily for the first 35 days after seeding. Plant height was measured six times during the growing season. All the species were clipped, oven-dried, and weighed at the end of the experimental period in 1982.
In the greenhouse, AGDE was the dominant species, yet produced more in the MESA combination. MESA exhibited a marked decrease in production when grown with AGDE. ATCA showed a remarkable ability to survive under high water stress.
Variable soil water content created in the field resulted in significant differences in germination, emergence, and establishment among planting treatments. MESA germinated and emerged faster than AGDE and ATCA, allowing it to utilize water and nutrient resources earlier than the competing species. The greatest shoot production occurred when MESA grew alone. In the AGDE-MESA combination, shading apparently reduced AGDE growth and shoot production at the two most favorable water levels. ATCA exhibited poor germination and emergence in treatments with low soil water availability
