Adopting the UNESCO Ethics Model to Critique Disease Mongering

The question this dissertation seeks to address is if the process of disease mongering can be ethically assessed. Chapter one provides a broad scope of the ethical challenge of disease mongering, UNESCO model framework, ADHD and PMDD. Chapter two examines disease mongering and its driving forces in detail. Chapter three provides an overview of the UNESCO model framework. Chapter four ethically examines disease mongering in conjunction with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Chapter five examines disease mongering in association with Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD). Chapter six concludes that examined through the UNESCO model ethical framework disease mongering is occurring for both ADHD and PMDD, and provides remarks for the addressing this in the future

Algebraic Topology for Data Scientists

This book gives a thorough introduction to topological data analysis (TDA), the application of algebraic topology to data science. Algebraic topology is traditionally a very specialized field of math, and most mathematicians have never been exposed to it, let alone data scientists, computer scientists, and analysts. I have three goals in writing this book. The first is to bring people up to speed who are missing a lot of the necessary background. I will describe the topics in point-set topology, abstract algebra, and homology theory needed for a good understanding of TDA. The second is to explain TDA and some current applications and techniques. Finally, I would like to answer some questions about more advanced topics such as cohomology, homotopy, obstruction theory, and Steenrod squares, and what they can tell us about data. Оценка возможности обеспечения оптимальной температуры наддувочного воздуха при работе дизеля на различных нагрузочных режимах

В статье рассмотрена возможность использования вихревой трубы для обеспечения оптимальной темпе-ратуры наддувочного воздуха при работе поршневого ДВС на различных скоростных и нагрузочных режи-мах. Приведены результаты расчета вихревой трубы для охлаждения наддувочного воздуха дизеля ЯМЗ-8424 и схема системы стабилизации температуры наддувочного воздуха с использованием вихревой трубы. Результаты проиллюстрированы на примере этого двигателя
