Utilisation du rayon laser en gastro-entérologie.

    No full text
After reminding the difference between the surface electro-coagulation-section and the photo-coagulation "at distance" by Laser-ray, the author underlines that the most interesting indications of the Laser-ray introduced into the digestive endoscopes are the destruction of esophageal and colonic tumors for inoperable patients or patients with operative risks. The palliative destructions avoid mutilating operations which won't increase the survival time of the patients.SCOPUS: ar.jinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishe

UNE TUMEUR OESOPHAGIENNE BENIGNE ET ASYMPTOMATIQUE CONSTITUE-T-ELLE UNE INDICATION OPERATOIRE?

    No full text
Concerning a case of benign asymptomatic oesophageal tumour (leiomyoma) discovered by routine investigations, the authors consider the advisability of a resection. A survey of the literature as well as their personal cases together with the pathological data leads to advise systematic resection.SCOPUS: NotDefined.jinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishe

Microcinematographic studies of coronary circulation show a physiological variation of the arteriolar diameters during contraction, a vasodilatation in response to intra auricular injection of epinephrine, and a vasodilatation in response to intra auricular injection of acetylcholine.SCOPUS: NotDefined.jinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishe

Peritoneoscopy and guided liver biopsy in infants and children

    No full text
The authors report ehir experience in 126 laparoscopies in 101 children and infants aged 8 weeks to 14 years, with the use of standard and miniaturized instruments. General anaesthesia was systematically used except for 12 infants in hepatic coma. The conditions for which peritoneoscopy was performed were metabolic diseases (mainly in infants), neonatal cholestasis, Reye syndrome, abdominal tumours, infectious diseases, portal hypertension and, in 50% of the cases, post-hepatitic chronic hepatitis or cirrhosis. Guided liver biopsy combined with peritoneoscopy yielded a diagnosis in almost all cases.SCOPUS: ar.jinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishe

The effect of domperidone on pyloric activity in dog and in man

    No full text
In a study in dogs using ultrasonic transducers to measure degree of pyloric dilatation, it was found that i.v. domperidone (0.35 and 0.7 mg/kg) significantly increased the diameter of the pyloric lumen without affecting the frequency of pyloric relaxations. A subsequent study involving 59 patients referred for upper digestive tract endoscopy, confirmed this increase in diameter of the pylorus which indicates a potential use of domperidone (either i.v. or oral) in the treatment of some forms of dyspepsia characterized by delayed gastric emptying.SCOPUS: ar.jinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishe
