MEDIDAS Y EDUCACIÓN SANITARIA ADOPTADAS EN EL CONTROL DE ENFERMEDADES DURANTE LOS SIGLOS XIX Y XX EN LOS SANTOS DE MAIMONA (BADAJOZ)

This paper shows sanitary conditions to fight the infectious diseases, that struck down people, for XIX century and some of the XX century. This situation was called epidemics and some of them were very important. For this reason, the panic that generated an epidemic or the threatening of one, it made that protection 's measures jumped. For XIX century people began to see the importance of these measures, but in the XX century was when they were forced to observe and to obey.El presente artículo refleja la importancia de las medidas higiénicas en la lucha y control de las enfermedades principalmente de tipo infeccioso y que durante el siglo XIX y en parte del siglo XX han castigado las poblaciones bajo epidemias, algunas de gran trascendencia en la Educación Sanitaria y que llega hasta nuestros días. El pánico de una población afectada por una epidemia, o la simple amenaza de ser invadidos por la enfermedad hacía saltar los resortes de protección. Durante el s. XIX comienza a ver la importancia de estas medidas, pero es en el siglo XX cuando se exige el cumplimiento de las mismas con mayor observación y castigo. &nbsp
