filtru (EKF) umožňuje efektivní rychlost výpočtu a dosahuje vyšší jednoznačnosti reprezentace
výsledků než běžně používaná metoda PHDF.
Součástí aktivit je i analýza a porovnání výsledků dvou asociačních metod PHDF (běžně
používaná) a PHD-MAT (nově navržená) pro různé scénáře a pro odlišné vstupní parametry. The habilitation thesis presents a selection of research activities I have been involved in during
my time at the University of Pardubice, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics.
The thesis focuses on the problem of signal processing in multi-bistatic radar systems for air
traffic control, particularly on the association of measurements from individual bistatic radars.
The chosen topic is seamlessly related to previous research activities that dealt with the
computation of mutual uncertainty functions from individual bistatic radar measurements.
Measurements represent input data for subsequent data association.
In the habilitation thesis, I describe the problem of multi-position radar systems, focusing on
the subclass of multi-bistatic radar systems and their signal processing principles. This is both
for an individual bistatic radar and for a multi-bistatic radar system. This part of the habilitation
thesis analyses the problems complicating the evaluation of targets that reduce the achievable
information value and outlines their possible solutions. This is done from the perspective of
bistatic radar and its integration into a multi-bistatic radar system.
The main part of the thesis is devoted to the problem of association of measured data on
individual bistatic radars, which must be correctly interpreted (fused) to avoid association errors
that will lead to incorrect determination of the position of individual targets. This work includes
the development of a new association method (PHD-MAT) for target association and
subsequent target tracking. This method is based on a modified hypothetical probability density
calculation. The proposed new association method, using the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF),
allows for an efficient computational speed and achieves a higher uniqueness in the
representation of the results compared to the commonly used PHDF method.
The activities include analysing and comparing the results of two association methods, PHDF
(commonly used) and PHD-MAT (newly proposed), for different scenarios and input
parameters. The habilitation thesis presents a selection of research activities I have been involved in during

PARALLEL COMPUTING OF CROSS AMBIGUITY FUNCTION WITH BRUTE FORCE METHODS
In this paper we describe brute force methods of cross ambiguity function (CAF) which is key function for successful location tracking for passive radar systems. The CAF depends upon the direct and the reflected signals from targets. The CAF represents the power spectral density function of the cross correlation between direct and reflected signals from the target. The computation of CAF in real-time is a challenging task for parallel programming techniques

Problematika detekce cílů s malou odraznou plochou v primárních radarových systémech
This paper describes the challenges of detecting small-RCS targets using current generation primary radar systems. The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and drones are representative of small-RCS targets which pose serious safety issues these days. The current generation primary radar systems do not have sufficient detection, resolution and classification capabilities to detect such targets. We present an innovative signal processing chain that would help primary radar systems to detect such low-RCS targets.Článek popisuje problematiku detekce cílů s malou odraznou plochou (drony UAV, hejna ptáků) v současných primárních radarových systémech.
This paper presents an approach to manage metadata (target class labels) for the recorded primary Doppler radar data. This information is necessary for further research and development of target classification algorithms. For this purpose, a labelling methodology and an application radar data analysis and target labelling was developed. The application includes radar records file processing, Doppler filtering, tag creation, data visualizationand tag database. For the better context of analysed data, an interface to Geographic Information Software (GIS) programis included as well. GIS program allows overlaying radar Plan Position Indicator (PPI) data with map data, airplane transponder tracks, drone flight path log and other support data. Finally, the application notes and observations are presented.
Wind turbines or wind farms present a major source of renewable energy. The expansion of wind turbines across the world rapidly increases. Unfortunately, for radar systems, wind turbines are a big source of clutter that can negatively influence the behavior of the detection capabilities of radar systems, or even totally “blind” radar systems. The problematic of mitigation of the influence of the wind turbines on radar systems is highly variable and depends on parameters of the wind turbines and radar systems. The main negative parameters of wind turbines are large Radar Cross Sections and Doppler shift spread of reflected signals. For the determination of general mitigation techniques, it is important to make a deep analysis of the different types of scenarios using a developed simulator of reflected signals from a wind turbine. This paper describes developed simulator and wind turbine parameter analysisVětrné elektrárny nebo větrné farmy přináší hlavní zdroj obnovitelné energie.
The paper deals with the primary analysis of the target detection in the Passive Coherent Location system that exploits DVB-T transmitters in a Single Frequency Network. The analysis is based on the behavior of a Cross Ambiguity function and is done for one/more targets in one bistatic radar. The Single Frequency Network system uses the same central carrier frequency for all transmitters. The analysis shows that multipath effect significantly influences the determination of the precise accuracy of the maximum of the CA function.Článek obsahuje základní analýzu problematiky detekce cílů v systému pasivní koherentní lokace, využívající vysílače DVB-T systému, které pracují v jedno frekvenčních sítích.
